No, it's excessive action against anyone but extreme spewtards and people who get sexually aroused when they "free showdown raise", but forget that they're supposed to fold when 3-bet.

Did you see the AQs vs A5s hand I posted earlier? his flop 3-bet + turn bet is so bad against my range it makes me want to vomit.

Players like this make money because they get people trying to outplay them , and in turn get people to outplay themselves. They also play most loose range scenarios very well in general.

We have a few winning spewtards on stars that come to mind, Doughnutz, Reshef and Full-Grown in order of skill.

They get in the pot with the fish a lot, they value bet extremly well, and are aware of fundamental poker concepts.
They overplay their hand in marginal/complicated situations, but the mistakes are rarely large and often induce you to mistakes if you arent careful.

The exploitable counter adjustment to their style is to overplay your strong hands, thinking about the top of your range as opposed to what they are representing... There will always be weird played and overplayed hands in their range.

I notice most of them are able to smell out "weak" lines and will often take agressive actions, trying to pounce on them. I love mixing weird b3b, c/r or double check/raise lines against players like this, because these are the guys that fall for it the hardest.

IMO it's fun butting heads against players like this and am up significantly on most players who fit this profile on stars.

I think you're wrong about them playing tight range situations well though. In my experience, these are the spots where they are the weakest. i.e. hip's hand.

I agree with your point. And have very little experience with said opponent. I was just pointing out that since rez plays so much different than most tags preflop he needs to play differently postflop. The correct play for him will often differ from the correct play for joe tag.

Yeah, that hand he played vs. you was pretty terrible.

edit: You know how you play against someone who thinks you're a maniac? rez is going to have way more opponents that think he's a maniac. So he's going to put in more action. You might know what's up and compensate. But there's no way his average opponent knows what's going on.
