In Podunk Nebraska, their Sunday Ticket is actually a Saturday Ticket. With one channel. Thus, Big Red.

Congrats and good luck. I hope you find a happier space. Good for you for being willing to make a frank honest assessment and change your path.

I am running so bad. Cannot even win at credit card roulette. If I bust by the home game, I will need to be staked.

No closer option but consider going a little further to Bay. Oaks is about 20 min driving from the Coliseum, or you can take BART (to 40th and then the Emery Go Round shuttle). Bay 101 is probably 30-35 min with no good public transit options.

Oaks has 30/60, but it has rarely run on Sundays. Even the 15/30 has gotten spotty. There's a 4-200 SL ("200 max") which is semi-regular.

Bay 101 will have more, more consistent, and higher stakes games (don't know specifically what it's like on a Sunday, though).

If you're playing at the Oaks on Sunday night at 9-9:30, I'd be happy to meet up. But IMR a few times not even the 15/30 and 200 max were going, so I went to read at Barnes & Noble instead of playing poker.

has anyone played the 20 or 40 at bellagio recently? what kind of lineups can i expect? is anyone in here grinding either game regularly? Ive played it during the series the past few years and thought both games were soft with the 40 being a little more spotty.

Probably less than 10 miles on the freeway.

We're going to have to quantify this in terms of "a rack of <insert chip color here>".

Blue?

Seat cushion change

Green?

No problem

Yellow?

Too big to put on the credit card

Red?

Your credit limit is less than 1/8 chair, or you can't put that on your credit card without board approval?

Meal charges over $500 would raise red flags with the CFO and increase the probability of a full audit.

The LHE world revolves around California. Soon, you will all be using $20 chips.

I kind of wish that CA used standard chip colors, or at least where applicable.

I remember the first time I saw the 80/160 and thought, HOLY ****ING **** THEY ARE PLAYING 400/800!

Jesse once said something about how soft the "green chip games" were. I asked whether he meant the Oaks 3/6 (played with green/blue $1 chips), the Oaks 30/60 (played with green/black $10 chips), or the Bellagio 75/150 (played with standard green $25 chips). He meant none of the above, and informed me that the Bay 101 $2 chips are green.

This hand just happened at FW 20:

Friend pops A 4 in the HJ, fishy CO call, TAGfish BTN call, SB call, 4 way for 9 small ones.

Flop K65r, 1 spade, x/b/c/fold/sb call, now 6 BB

Turn 3, x/b/c/c, 9 BB now.

River Q, checks around.

I did that in 2006 when they lost like 24-21 and Oakland had 95 yards of total offense. Worst 3 hours of my life I wouldn't go back for $1000.

I mean people have a point. Just around here its a cluster. The bike's $10 chips are orange (ish), commerce calls theirs gold but they are actually white, and HG has brown ones (and red $5 ones, while all other $5 chips here are yellow).

Also....if you're at the bike check out the hot pink $50 chips.

Walked into the card room tonight, and was still at least 50 feet away from the gal I needed to see to get a table, when she announced over the PA that she had a seat for me on table 18 if I wanted it. Now that’s service!

From the live tell dept at Ft. McDowell's 20 0/8-Stud/8 game:

Stud/8 hand. On 6th I've got trip 2's w/ no low draw HU against 4 's. 's says 'bet dark' as 7th is being dealt, I look and don't fill. I think about it for a few seconds, call, MHIG. 's should've looked bec that's part of the show and then bet w/o saying anything.

Got into a really good game tonight. Some guy on the Seahawks was driving all the action. He and another guy had like a combined 20 drinks between them and were building some incredible pots. Horrible time to be card dead but managed a 60 BB uptick in the last couple hours.

I am on a major CCR downswing. Any tips on handling this? Should I move down from dining and drinks to McDonald's drive thru? Start CCRing other things besides meals?
