First. IMO.

Took shots at 8/16, 20/40, and 30/60 on Bovada. Collusion/shadiness aside, hella soft games.

Can't tell if not being able to use PT is a good or bad thing overall...

Sweating those games, I didn't notice any obvious soft spots. Are people just making egregious preflop aggromonkey plays?

I played in one with people open limping CO/BTN. Another who 3bets from sb a CO's open with 84s.

Oh, and you'll like this one. He 3bet J8s on the BTN against my hijack open.

When I was in college, we decided to give out pre-shucked oysters for Halloween. I can't describe the look of joy on their little faces as we reached into the jar and filled their bags with handfuls of gray, snot-like gobs of raw oysters.

Oh yum.

I don't believe you.

Fair amount of limping and coldcalling

So I'm getting some kind of weird database error when I try to go to my own profile.

Can someone tell me what my avatar is? Is it the volleyball player or the pride parade?

It's a little bit of both. I'd be proud

I feel kinda bad about this even though I shouldn't.

I open KTo in mp, BB calls

845

I cbet he calls

Turn 7

I check behind

River 6, check, I say, "I have an eight high straight" he taps the table and mucks

You should feel bad that you didn't bet the river.

Nah, it's the volleyball player. I logged out and looked at my own posts.

The pride parade one is a guy in assless chaps dancing in a giant rainbow float. I think I tried to set it to that but the powers that be rejected it.

Pokerstars rejected it too as my avatar way back when. Some guy kept calling me a "san fran ***" because I lived only 20 miles away from San Francisco and because he was mad jelly of my skills.

So I've been having problems connecting to the forum on my phone, it hangs for a bit and then says, "Pirate version of APP."

Is there a fix? Play Store says my app is up to date.

You should absolutely not feel even slightly bad about that.

Here's an alternate scenario -- I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks: What if you say, with utter sincerity, "I have a 9-high straight," whereupon your opponent mucks.

Is that an angle shot? Would it make any difference whether you turned your hand up while you said it?

If your hand doesn't include a 9, it absolutely matters whether you turn your hand up or not.

If he had said he had a 9 high straight, he definitely did something wrong, whether he turned up his hand or not, and in some rooms his opponent would be given the entire pot because he overcalled his hand resulting in a muck. I think that is the best rule as well.

I haven't gotten that notice, but I have also been having issues with my Android app in last 2 days. Sometimes it acts as if I am not logged in properly; won't allow me to post, occasionally a log in window pops up. But when I shut down app and restart I am logged in fine.

Really?? Wow, I've never heard of that rule. Sometimes people misread their own hands and the overcall is an honest mistake. Same result? I guess it'd have to be, because how would you know if someone is faking it.

I always thought "cards speak" was a universal rule, as long as you turn your hand over.
11-06-2015 , 02:57 AM
I'm sure the rule would be less likely to be enforced if the guy turned his hand over before saying it, but I don't know that it wouldn't still be in effect. It probably also is really that the hand "may" be killed for an overcall leading an opponent to muck; I.e. up to the discretion of a floor person.

I once declared "King high flush" after being called on the river. I turned my hand over and it was pointed out that I didn't have a flush, but Kings and tens instead. I won the pot.
