so like i said in the LC thread im retiring from regular live pokar playing

this is the most memorable hand i've ever witnessed. i was waiting for grease to post it but he hasnt gotten around to it, so...

10/20 full ring live at borgata

a huge donk limps utg. some other limpers blinds check

FLop A78 two diamonds. checked to utg who bets, some callers including sb (another donkey).

turn T putting up two flush draws.

sb leads out. bb folds. UTG raises. SB 3 bets. UTg 4 bets. SB 5 bets. 6, 7, 8 , 9, 10 , 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 bets go in. everyone at the table looks pissed off because its obviously a chop and we are paying a time charge.

finally sb calls.

turn is a 6 completing a club draw. sb checks, utg bets, sb calls.

sb's hand: 96 (no flush)

utg's hand: Ad9d. yes you read that right.

after the hand was over utg berated the sb for putting so much money in with crap.

How can anyone retire from live poker playing with action like this?!?! ;-)

Sad that you're retiring Kit. What does "regular" playing mean, a few times a week (so now you'll only go out once a month or on special occasions)?

Live poker will always be there; methinks you'll get the itch to come back eventually. Join me at the 2/4 table! ;-)

Sorry Kit, I meant to make up a trip report, but I've been writing a manuscript that's due Monday=/.

I was between the two morons going back and forth. They wanted to get it all in on the turn, but the floor only let them go one bet at a time.

They were usually loose-passive; I have no idea what happened.

So the dude that won didn't even have the nut straight? That's crazy that he could do that unless he actually saw the Ace in the other players hand. Nice

Don't they both have the same non-nut straight? SB had the straight on the turn, UTG tied on the river.

Actually one had the non-nut straight, and the other hand one pair, a one-card straight draw and the nut flush draw. A diamond on the river and we'd have another "stabbing in AC" thread.

As for Kit, I don't know what to say man but Good Luck.

Well, if your med school is anything like mine was, you won't have much live playing time. Best of luck, kit. Any idea what field you want to do when you finish?

Edit to add: even if you do, you'll likely change your mind a couple of times along the way.

Good luck Kit. Thanks for making solid contributions & helping our games out. Poker is an activity that you can enjoy the rest of your life, whether you play a lot or a little.. A hobby that you can make money at. Hmmm...Sounds pretty goot to me mon.
