2/10 spread FR live game. Blinds 1/2. Game has been pretty average up to this point. There are a few nits, but everyone else is playing OK. If I had to characterize the game, I'd say it's reasonably LP.

My reads...

Villan 1: A LAG'gy kid who is UTG and is already stuck for his initial buy-in. He loves to play big pots and is one of those players who "can't leave well enough alone" aka if everyone checks to him in a multi-way pot, he has to bet it, regardless of cards. He's opened several pots for larger than normal raises and as mentioned, likes to build and play large pots.

Villan 2: A pretty solid Asian kid who has been at the table less than an hour. I'm sitting next to him and we've been chatting a bit and he seems pretty knowledgable. I've seen him drag one pot when he showed a winner, otherwise have no read as he hasn't been doing much PFR.

Hero is in the SB with A-A. Villan 1 opens for a max raise of $12. Four other people call, including Villan 2 OTB.

Hero max raises to $22. BB folds. Every damn person behind who called the original raise calls. . Hero braces himself as the flop is $22 6-way.

Flop is Q-7-7. Hero maxbets $10, V1 calls, another MP player calls, V2 calls.

Turn is J. Hero maxbets $10, V1 calls, MP player folds, V2 calls.

River is 9. Hero?

Do we continue to fire one last time, assuming we'd be raised on the turn if we were beat? Or do we c/c?

Given the pot size, I'm laying this down approximately never unless I check and it ends up being 3+ bets cold to me.

Bet for value. You'll lose some times to a verrrry slow-played 7 or T8 or something, but the times you get paid off by one or two of your opponents make up for it.

Given your read that V1 will often bet if checked to, you might consider c/c the river to catch his bluff and V2's overcall, but the problem comes when V2, who seems to play well, has the same read you do and he raises his Q or J to chase you out. Just bet the river.

1 More vote for Bet/call...as it can represent "hey I got two pair QJ or Q9 and can beat AQ" or a guy who forgets that Aces up is better than queens up. The nice thing about the spread-limit game is you don't have that double-sized bet worth of reverse implied odds. btw that's a nice pot for a 2-10 game.

I think you rarely see a slow-played 7 here, since there was no raise, especially on the turn, when most players freak out when they see they are up against two possible flush draws. If someone has a slow-played hand, it is going to be QQ or 77. Td8d or KdTd could have backed into a straight. I probably bet/call, but I could make a case for bet/fold if V1 calls and V2 raises.

I'd be nice to have a better read on V1. Some players like to build pots early and bet if no one else does in an attempt to pick up the pot, but have much higher standards for raising on later streets. They are pretty much LAGs if no one shows strength but turn into TPs if anyone breathes on the pot.
