So if a player c/r me on the flop AT7dd bet turn 7r and when I fold (pre flop I 3bet) ask:"qeens?"
Is it safe to conclude he was drawing and didn't have an ace or a value hand?
07-24-2014 , 03:16 AM
no, he probably just wonders if you folded queens. maybe since he would fold queens there, or maybe since no one folds an ace there he is guessing what things that could be folded there. in general i wouldn't worry about that stuff imo.

Yeah, just trying to understand how he thinks, thought I can narrow his range and get a better read.

So many good stories from the past few weeks where to begin.

I am sitting 8/16 waiting for a seat in the main game. New guy is on his way to the table, dealer asks if he wants the BB, he replies yes. Sits down and is dealt in - dealer gives him 40 in chips. He is fumbling through his wallet and realizes that he doesn't "have all the hundreds" that he thought he brought. So the dealer is sweating bullets as the guy is scraping together ones and fives. If he doesn't have the min $80 buy in then I have no idea what happens to this hand. So he has $86 and gets it all in on the turn with a board of 3d4cTdKd. I check raise the field on the turn with 5d2d and once he is all in he shows me his hand, which is 8d9d.

I ask him wtf he is doing and he seems confused. I four bet the turn to get a sidepot (which seems like an ethical dilemna but wtf). Dealer makes him turn over his hand so everyone sees it. River is a blank and I get called by a player with Ad4h (no diamond on the river).

Hand was a complete cluster and the dealer I think was glad to just move on and sweep it under the rug.

Tonight I bought some items totaling $8.92. Deciding that I'd rather have a dime instead of eight more cents in pocket change, I give the cashier two pennies.

Me: "Here's two cents."

Cashier: "Do you want my opinion on something?"

It was 116 yesterday and I rode my bike home after work 5.5 miles in 107 and was racing against a quickly approaching dust storm and made it home with 5 minutes to spare before it hit.

I hear ya. My best live poker win rate is at NLHE and that's playing pretty much abc poker. Can't stand the pace so I always end up playing min bet. That and a lot of the So Cal NL structures suck unless your playing like 5/10+

Where I live, oncoming traffic always stops for a funeral procession. I was surprised that CNN was surprised.
Here oncoming traffic is typically already stopped so it's not an issue.

Seriously though no, we don't stop for funeral processions here and would never occur to me to do so for fear of getting rear ended.

True story: They were spreading an O8 game at HG awhile back, and they put it next to the LHE table I was sitting at. When the game started, I facetiously remarked that the fun thing about O8 is that it takes 1 minute to play a hand and 10 minutes to find out who won.

An HG prop responded by telling me off. "Oh no, it takes YOU 10 minutes to find out who won! They know instantly. They play the game." I let the matter drop.

5 minutes later, and the O8 table erupts into a loud argument as to who had the winning hand at a showdown.

Commerce has upped the rake. At 4-8 they've been taking $4 plus $1 for JP. New policy is that if a river card is dealt they take an additional $1. Apparently other casinos in the area are doing so as well.

Correct. And at higher limits as well.
