How Worried Should I Be About Flush Draws? How Worried Should I Be About Flush Draws?

I play mostly live 1 2 (where everyone seems loose, a lot of calling) and online 1bb and .50 bb and in both situations I am not sure how worried I should be about opponents flush draws and how to properly get value out of them and/or scare them out. I think I may pay them too much respect but I'm not sure.

This is a little vague but if people could just talk about some fairly common/typical situations and the best play in them I'd appreciate it.

What kind of preflop action affects their possibility? If they limp or call I guess they'd be more likely to have a flush draw than if they open raised? How seriously do I consider this on the flop?

What kind of flop betting/checking/calling/raising behavior from them should I look for?

Let's say I have TPTK on a flush draw flop, do I always bet near the pot size to make sure the flush draw possibility has to pay to see another card? Or can I value bet less in certain situations because the chances of them having it is unlikely enough? What about if I have a set or two pair there, does that change anything?

And when that flush draw hits on the turn, what should I be thinking then? In what situations do I give them credit for it? In what situations do I not worry too much about it?

And then backdoor flush draws coming on the turn, what up wif that? What situations can I put someone on a backdoor flush draw and when do I not have to worry too much?

but my generic answer would be "People worry about them far more than they ever should!"

Oh crap, can someone move this to the no limit section? Sorry I am bad at reading apparently.

I like your generic answer though. I'm pretty sure I'm missing some value by respecting them too much. I guess in limit the flush draws are just going to be there forever since the odds are so good.
