I have personally thought my image was TAG, but I never bothered to actually track what I was doing. So Friday night, I tracked my play and found I was
playing 15/10. I generally sit down and start out using SSHE tight recommendations until I get a read on the table. If it is loose-passive, then I play more hands, if it is tight, I usually table change.

When I measured 15/10, the table was semi-loose, and seemed to move back and forth from passive to aggressive.

Am I being too Nitty?

That's pretty darn tight, but not the nittiest I've seen around here. What do your positional stats look like?

I'd be especially interested in your positional play. Are you stealing/re-stealing enough in LP. Are you jamming your good MW hands in LP?

This was live, so it is hard to keep positional details. But I will say that I am fully positionally aware and bet more hands and raise more hands as it move toward the button, but I probably could be more aggressive in CO and Button.

I'm curious on how this was done live. Did you have a notebook & pen or pda/phone? Did you write down notes every hand or every lap?

Everytime the button passed me, I would record how many hands I played and how many hands I raised on a piece of paper. Crude, but pretty accurate. Tyring to do it by position would have just been do much work playing live.

15/10 is probably a bit tight for most live SSLHE games imo. Could be sample size. In most loose passive SS games, I would guess I'm playing between 20-25% of my hands, with alot of those being speculative hands in multiway pots from late position. Your results are probably pretty good playing 15/10, but I'm sure you can be entering more pots if you pick your spots.

I hesitate to think if I only play 30/20 live. There just seem to be so many spots where the whole "play in pots with bad players" forces you in there. Given the passive-showdownness of most live players as compared to OL, I think I end up with a lot of hands. I thought 15/10 was a bit nitty for OL FR; live, let's hope you were card-dead.

Very cool idea OP. Maybe do it over a larger sample and then decide.

I'd be surprised if I was at less than 30/18ish or so in live full ring. I'd guess in some of the lineups I play I'm playing like 40/28.

15/10 may make you money but there are a lot of potential +EV spots you're missing out on for sure. Of course if you're not that experienced then some of those small +EV plays may be -EV.. but you can definitely loosen up a little bit.

That was my guess and is probably worthwhile for many of us.

Did you also track if there were empty seats so you only had 8 or 7 hands in a lap. If you didn't, that may make your numbers lower than they actually are.
