I have about $150 in front of me before the hand. I limp in a kill pot ($12/24) UTG w/ KdJh. One tight, older player raises, the blinds call and I call to see a flop.

It comes out Qh 10h 9h, so I flop the world. I check raise the PF raiser after the blinds called, he 3 bet, (blinds fold), I 4, he 5, I 6, then he asks the dealer if we can just go all in. I have about $50-60 left. I put him on AA or KK with a heart, but now I am afraid that he might have raises with AK hearts- the only hand I am behind that makes any sense and has me drawing thin. So I slow down and call the 7 bet on the flop.

Turn small heart, DOH! I check, he checks behind. Oh, weird.

River blank and I bet, he calls.

Should I have kept raising the flop? I don't mind my play on the turn or river. But feel free to critique that as well.

1. buy in more.
2. fold pre
3. as played, with only 50/60 left, id get it all in on the flop.
4. as played, just dont fold at any point on turn/river. c/c saves ur last 2/12 dollars.

1.) Limp preflop is bad.

2.) Usually when someone wants to put that much action in on the flop, you are drawing to 2 outs.

Buy in for more, fold PF.

As played just agree to gii on the flop. Chances of someone having a set in this game is greater than you getting freerolled.

Hey, I bought in for $500 and had $500 more in my pocket if needed! Even in this game, its pretty rare to put in a whole rack on one hand.

I had $50/$60 left after putting on 7 bets on the flop. I was left with $30 or so in front of me after betting the river, but I was thinking that I could have gotten all in on the flop with him.

100% agree, I never rebuy when I have 6 bets because:

- I have more money in the bank.
- I don't mind leaving money on the table.
- I don't believe in protecting my hand.
- I don't listen to other's opinions.

PS. For future reference, nitty old men NEVER have aces here on the flop. They have a flush and if they lost their mind then TOP set

But it was needed, and you didn't pull it out.

1. Don't imply results in the title.
2. Your buyin is fine. I'd buy another rack if it got too much shorter, probably 8ish BB or so (enough to cap pre and the flop, 3bet the turn and bet river).
3. Fold pre. As a general rule, first in, raise or fold.
4. I usually put someone on not-the-nuts when they ask if they can go all-in. It's the old Sun Tzu proverb, appear weak when you are strong and strong when you are weak. He was going to call down if you raised once more after he asked IMO, he just wanted to see how you'd react to him suggesting all-in.

You had 6BB in your stack to start the hand at 12/24. It is reasonable to question a short stack as "why are you playing short". Sure, in a normal game you have 12BB, but you're playing a kill game with a stack short enough that it came into play.

Generally, you don't want to limp in EP. KJo is a "nice looking hand" that should generally be folded UTG in a FR game.

I play 20-40 with 200-400 all the time. Often buy in for that for fun. Usually add on after they bust me. Shrug.

If I have 1-3 bets in EP it's actually s pretty good spot and if I fold both. Kinds would reload small on the button.

If you had the option to go all in in your BB for 1 small bet would you or rather have the option to look at hand and play it deep?

I m afraid in the game you have to fold preflop.

Slow pony is slow but I just read this response and admit I somehow missed this was a kill pot.

6 BB is too short.
