is there anything else i can do to speed up things?
i really want to use the program but atm it slows down my stars too much so that there is no merit in using it for me...
Add me on AIM/MSN/ICQ/Skype if you can and I'll try to help get it working right on teamviewer

I think probably there's something else going on, on my computer (which is about a year old but pretty good) I just tested now, TST during a scan ranges from 0-5% cpu usage and usually ~40k mem usage, pokerstars with 24 tables open during a scan ranges from 0-2% cpu usage and is at about 45k memory usage. So I would tend to think/hope that there are probably other processes using a lot of memory or CPU and tablescan is maybe putting it "over the top" in your case, I dunno
If my computer is lagging it's usually when I have a ton of firefox tabs open with a lot of flash videos half loaded
Anyways, here are some other suggestions you can try:
- If you're using PT3, make sure you go in Database > Manage Databases > Edit database and turn on "Scan results from player cache". This will make a big improvement if you use PT3.
- In Configure > Advanced > Performance you could turn on "restrict tablescan to one database thread"
- In Configure > Advanced > Sites > Pokerstars there is a new option "use non-ocr pokerstars scanning method" which is slightly more efficient
- For each active database you have in TableScan, a little more resources are used, it's not really much but if you are using a bunch of active databases it might be better to try to consolidate them somehow
- You said you turned the TST HUD off, the TST can cause some lag for some in "Hovering" mode (at hud > configure > appearance) when using PT3/HM hud because it can end up fighting with the HM/PT3 hud to be right in front of the table. But the "Embedded" mode does not have this issue, if you do want to try turning it back on
