This is absolutely false. It doesn't disable "Enter". which is needed to send a chat message in the chat box, but will also make a bet or raise. Also, the mouse jump is not disabled, so it will move the mouse around, making chat impossible.

In order for the "Disable" toggle to allow chat, it must completely disable the entire program, just like the OP said regarding what poker shortcuts used to do.

So strange, I never knew about this.

Would disabling "highlight bet amount" be the solution?
What does "highlight bet amount" do anyway?

I get some kind of beep/ringing from TN when FT tables require action, is there anyway to turn this off?

Iirc pokershortcuts had something like if you hover over the chat area with mouse then no input could be made on the table apart from in the chat area.

About the enter key, are you saying you have actually assigned it as a hotkey?
Like if you want to fold, for example, you press enter? Whereas I have assigned the "f" key to do the fold function for me. Otherwise you can not call it a hotkey in this sense and arjun is correct.

No, of course not. I would never assign the enter key for a hotkey. But If you are running Table Ninja, and you have "highlight bet amount: checked (which you need to in order for table ninja to work properly), "enter" will make a bet or raise if the table has the blue action buttons showing, even if you are just typing in the hat box and hitting "enter" to send the chat. It is very annoying. I wish Full tilt has a little button you could click to send chat instead of using enter.

As it happens, even if you do NOT have tableNinja running, and you have "highlight bet amount" checked, you can accidentally send a bet or raise by hitting the enter key.

basically, Full Tilt programmers are a bunch of A__holes. They took a perfectly good system and made a pointless overhaul that screwed a lot of people up, while ignoring serious problems that have existed for months or years (lobby popping up when the game starts, game tables opening on top of other game tables, CUstom layouts not always working properly, etc.)

Yes. Before the July overhaul of the Full Tilt software, The chat box was a "separate" entity from the game table, so to speak. As such, you could have a hotkey assigned (in my case, F1), that would move the mouse back and forth between the game table and the chat box. So, on an active table, I would click F1, then type chat, hit enter, and then hit 1 to return to playing poker.

But after that July upgrade, it just doesn't work like that any more.

Obv the solution to this is not to type into the chat box without toggling your TableNinjaFT hotkeys 'off'.

What you are describing is a function of the the table 're-gaining' focus while you are typing in the chatbox (typically because you are getting the warning about having 15 seconds to act on your hand). This puts the focus back on the betting box and when you hit 'enter' to send your chat... you actually send the bet. This happens because the chat box is treated as a different object than the rest of the table (also why you can't use detached chat). So when you click into the chat area and then back into the table, the betsize is automatically re-calculated and re-focused.

I would have to try to reproduce to be sure... but I'm almost positive that the focus being on the bet box is a function of TNFT and not of the 'highlight bet amount' option.

I could obv be wrong.

Highlight Bet Amount.. TICK.. it's pretty self explanatory? It doesnt say DO NOT highlight bet amount.. then you wouldn't tick it.

To clarify, Highlight bet amount IS a required setting and TableNinjaFT will work much more reliably with it on. It will also make the built in FT scroll wheel functions FAR more reliable so I really recommend that everyone turn it on.

TableNinjaFT will send focus to the bet box when it needs to even if highlight bet amount is off, but depending on your other settings this may not do enough to make the scroll wheel functions that are built into FT work reliably.

So make sure and turn "Highlight bet amount" on and check out our required FT settings list here

I cna assure you that toggling "hotkeys off" does NOT enable you to chat. Try it if you like, but not with any serious money at the table, because you WILL have disastrous errors.

Hi Tarath,

Would it be possible to add a hotkey to temporarily disable TNFT completely as "ctrl-escape" does in Pokershortcuts?

Thanks!

When I try to leave tables they often lock up and I can't perform any action on them.

Couldn't find any posts with similar problem so does anyone know what the issue is

I'll take a stab at this -- TNFT is not intended to be freeware forever. If and when the commercial version goes live, beta users will be forced to sh** or get off the pot (i.e. the verification will force them to upgrade to the commercial version).

BTW, thanks to TNFT, I'm going to give FTP a try for the first time ever.

Does the FTP client fully support stacking now? I haven't tried since before the beta went live, any issues with stacking and TNFT?

Just installed TNFT and tested it on play money (I just opened an FT account and have not deposited yet).

Using TN-FT reminds me of how far TN (PS) has come! Idempotent table positioning keys for stacking play would be at the top of my cash game priorities. After that, sitout BB and close table would be next.

No comment on tourneys as I don't play them much.

If I end up playing on FT much then I'll definitely donate.

Can you add a future so i can set only preflop raise, and not having to add flop/turn/river bets aswell. They seem to screw up my 3bet sizing. It works in the PS version.

Hey guys,

I know there are a lot of posts here that I need to answer. I was hoping to get to them all this morning, but due to the holidays I am traveling today and am running late. I promise I will respond to every post once I am at my hotel tonight and I apologize for the delay.

Thanks for your patience,

Tarath

Further to this. I believe the issue may be as a result of the "are you sure you want to close this table" popup being behind the table which requires action before you can do anything to the table.

Comments appreciated
