Most features will work decently with the shiny theme but often TableNinja will have to try and read information from the table repeatedly and it could definitely cause lag, especially with a lot of tables.

For the tourneys not closing, my guess is that when you reinstalled stars one of the directories changed. Can you try and make sure that your PokerStars Install Directory on the setup tab is set according to the following instructions.

"PokerStars® Install Directory Settings
TabeNinja should automatically enter the correct folder for you. If you encounter a problem you can manually set this folder. In Windows XP® you should set this to the directory where PokerStars® is installed on your computer, usually 'C:\Porgram Files\PokerStars'. On Windows Vista® you should set this to your 'AppData' folder for PokerStars®, usually 'C:\Users\[VISTA USERNAME]\AppData\Local\PokerStars'. "

Thanks

Tarath

Yesterday was weired. My sister said internet didn't worked, but she fixed it ( no idea why it didn't work or how she fixed it) but everything was working fine except for Pokerstars. Got a hard drive error when I tried starting it so I reinstalled Pokerstars.

Since then the lag is gone! No problems at all, I wasabletoplay 50+ tables with no sign of a lag. But as said tableninja does not close the tiournaments anymore, everything else was working.

So I wonder: Was the lag caused by Pokerstars and got fixed by reinstalling, did my internet cause the lag, or is it possible the tournament closing caused the lag.

I want to make sure that my computer stays lag free and I don't want to fix the tournament closing error if it might cause the lag

Have you updated to version 1.1.22.0? I updated the tutorial video the same day that version 1.1.22.0 was released so the video should contain explanations for everything (I think).

If you have updated and are still having this issue please email me at support@alxsoftware.com and I will definitely help you.

hi, you were right; that bug was fixed in the latest release and i didn't have it yet; this feature is very, very nice, btw

now that i fixed that, i have a suggestion for improvement that would make it even more impressively useful; would it be possible to create a hotkey that can arrange all the tables sorted by blind level (or tournament number, or start time, whatever)? that would help a lot, because poker stars' ctrl+9 arranges them the way each one of them has to move least, and that gets things very messy after a while when you have new tournaments popping up

Scanning for when tournaments end is somewhat resource intensive so its certainly possible that could have caused lag, but it also sounds as though something was wrong with your PokerStars installation and that might be the cause.

If your PokerStars install directory is set incorrectly the Tourney closing and the SNGO will not work (it will not recognize when your tournaments end and thus will not decrease the "Currently Registered" numbers, it will still open tournaments) but everything else should.

I would try setting it correctly, if you experience lag just change it back.

Hope this helps,

Tarath

Happens around 5% of the time a SNG ends regardless of whether I win or am eliminated, which means since I play 20 tables it happens just about every set. Tables are tiled, winxp, classic theme.
What you're saying makes sense, if TableNinja failed to close a tournament it is because it did not detect it ending. This means the SNGO also will not realize the tournament is over and will cause exactly what you're describe. I'll set aside some time to go over this with a fine toothed comb.

If next time this occurs you could right down the tournament number (poker pokerstars) of the tournament that does not get closed and also send me your TNLog file from your TableNinja log file and your Pokerstars.log.0 file from your pokerstars install directory that would really be helpful. You will need to send them to support@alxsoftware.com right after your session as the files get cleared regularly.

As I was installing all my poker software into Win7, I ran into a problem with my auth code when trying to get TN up and running. Would this be because I have already used it under my Vista setup? I assumed it would be possible to re-use, or do I have to go through some sort of re-authorisation process? To clarify, ideally I would like to keep it authorised on both OSes - I will only be using one OS at a time however, as they are both installed on the same machine. Is this possible?

Thanks in advance!
If you can just email me at support@alxsoftware.com from the email address you used to purchase TableNinja I'd be happy to send you an additional purchase code which you can use on windows 7.

It would be through an OSD, but we might also make another display that shows the bet amount in BBs.

Glad everythings working now

I think what you're requesting ought to be possible. We keep a list of tables already, I'm not sure what would be involved in sorting them by attributes like that, I'll look into it.

Thanks guys,

An update on the taskbar freeze issue -- turning off the "Don't pass on right click from hotkeys" option seems to fix the problem. I would prefer to leave this option on because I seem to inadvertently right-click someone's seat which causes a list to pop up (block chat, notes, etc). Nevertheless, I appreciate you identifying this fix while you develop a more permanent solution.

Unfortunately, I have another problem to report. Twice in the past two days TN has completely stopped working in the middle of a session. None of the features work (hotkeys, pot betting, etc etc), I cannot access TN through the taskbar (though I can access everything else), and TN does not appear in the Applications section of Task Manager. However, the TN process is still running and I have to manually end the process and then restart the program. Any thoughts on what's happening here? Thanks.

Which version of the program are you running? There was a problem like this in version 1.1.19.0 that has been fixed in version 1.1.22.0.

If you are using the latest version then unfortunately this is the first report of a new problem and I will need a bunch more info to help you.

Thanks

I'm not using the latest version, though I thought I was. Glad it's an easy fix! Will my setup stay the same or will I need to take note of my settings to transfer them over when I upgrade? Thanks.

Just purchased this works great mostly but while multitabling 10/20 tables and a new table opens in gets stuck on the new tables and i have to click around to find the next table that needs action, if it sits out then it will freeze at the sit out and all tables will sit out and hard to restart again I stax the tables and am using the default theme on Stars (classic). This only happens when a new table is opened and it constantly hangs, what is the fix for this?

Hey Tarath,

Just been playing around with the new feature for relocating tables, which is great as I play stacked and like to bring tables of interest out of the stack temporarily. The problem I'm running into is with the "dummy" window that you size and position on screen to reflect where you wish to move your table to. I'm using AllSnap with the option to snap MDI windows enabled, but there seems to be some quality or property to your dummy window that makes it unresponsive to AllSnap. The upshot of this is it's going to be next to impossible to ensure I recreate the exact dimensions of the default table size in Stars, with the effect of course being that when I move the window back into the stack it's going to be sized slightly differently to the rest. Multiply this by x over the course of a session and what started out as a very neat stack is now something of a jumble of different sized windows.

Is there a workaround for this in the pipeline by any chance?

Thanks for adding this though - awesome feature that just needs some slight tweaking for it to be perfect!

Hey,

To find the next table that needs action I strongly recommend using the "Cycle to first in line table" hotkey from the table control tab. This will instantly jump you to the next table awaiting action so you don't have to waste any time looking around for it when a new table pops up.

The freezing you're describing is not something I have ever heard of before. Do you have the "Automatically click I'm back" feature turned on from the annoyances tab? Is the program actually frozen (like you have to cntrl alt delete to close it) or does it just get slow? Any details you can give on this part of the problem would be helpful, as I said before no one has reported a bug like this before so I'm not sure what could be causing this problem.

Thanks

Tarath

Hey,

I'm not 100% sure what you are saying with all-snap. All the TableNinja "Set Table Aside" hotkeys will move the window to the desired size and location the first time you press them and then snap the table back to its previous size location the second time you press them.

I think I'm just being dumb but I guess I'm not understanding exactly how or why all-snap is acting on the "dummy" window, or why the size of the dummy window would affect the size of windows in your stack.

Sorry if I'm being dense. If you can help me understand the problem I definitely want to help

Doh! I didn't realise you used the same hotkey to snap it back into place again, so I used a 2nd hotkey to return the table, which is why I was having problems. Basically what I was trying to get across about the snapping was that most windows (when allsnap is enabled) do not resize in a freeform fashion, but rather they snap to a desktop grid, and also conform to the boundaries of other windows, which makes resizing a window to the same dimensions as another window on your desktop easy - which I thought I needed to do in order to retain uniformity across all my tables; and for some reason your "dummy" window seemed to be the 1 exception to the rule that didn't exhibit this behaviour. Obviously this was much more of an issue for me before I realised that the same hotkey would return the window to its rightful location.

Whew!

Hey guys,

We are working on fixing this issue and we hope to have a update for TableNinja out within 48 hours. TableNinja will notify you automatically at startup once the update has been released. I know the automatic tournament registration is really important for a lot of you guys so we are doing everything we can to release an update as soon as possible.3

As a temporary solution while you're waiting for the update you can revert Stars to the previous version.

To revert PokerStars go to your stars install directory and open the "backup folder. By default this is in "C:\Program Files\Pokerstars\backup". Not everyone will have a backup directory, but if it exists you can revert to the previous version of Pokerstars until we release an update to TableNinja. Copy the files from the backup directory into the C:\Program Files\Pokerstars directory and then run the Pokerstars.exe directly from your PokerStars install directory (DO NOT USE YOUR DESKTOP SHORTCUT). This will allow you to temporarily run the old version of Stars.

We will release an update fixing the problem as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience

Tarath

Unfortunately we can not accept site transfer because it is against the PokerStars terms of service.

If you do not have a credit card you can create either a Moneybookers or Paypal account and fund the account by bank transfer. You can then use the funds in your paypal/moneybookers account to buy TableNinja.

Hope this helps and sorry for the inconvenience,
