Bodypull, could you address Staafy's comment on the x-post in the STT forum.

Thx.

Thx.
can't you gimmick up some hand histories to test it?

for example, take a single hand where you allin versus one opponent, KK vs. 44, where you win.

then just copy paste so you got 10 identical hands, then
a) change hh numbers so no copies,
b) change 2 outcomes so you lose. 8 wins, 2 losses.
c) if pokertracker make new database maybe so it just has these test hands.

then you can run it and it should come out that you are very close to 0 since overpairs are about 80/20.

think that would work?

This version requires a Pokertracker database.

Changes:
  • Direct connection to Pokertracker MS Access database (MDB)
  • Supports all poker sites which are supported by Pokertracker (only FullTilt and Party tested though)
  • Supports 10-Max SnG's
  • Supports 9-Max SnG's
  • Supports 6-Max SnG's
  • Supports 5-Max SnG's (untested)
  • Supports HU SnG's (untested)
SnG Luck Analyzer v0.1.3

There is also a quick-start guide on this page and I'm developing a small FAQ section.

Most sites and some of the new features are not fully tested yet, so please don't hang me if you find some bugs. They have to be expected, it's a beta version and a new approach fetching the data from Pokertracker.

I hope it will be usefull even at it's very early stage though.
I got my hopes up, but then realized it didn't work with PGSQL

Any ETA on PGSQL DB support?

Me too for PSQL, but in the meantime I'm going to import some hands into an Access DB and test it out.

Those are some nice looking graphs, although I have no idea what they mean. I play on PS so will await your support for that. Cheers and good luck.

My version (downloaded yesterday) seemed OK. I ran three different virus killers (and several rootkit investigation apps) yesterday to make sure that the phantom "pprekop.exe" wasn't a trojan.

He says the current version works with Pokertracker, so also with PS.

The current version (v0.1.3) has incorrect math. Expected equity is too high in most cases which leads to negative luck and minus bucks.

The results you get are wrong.

I'm working on a fix.

Oh, and I have no idea what this virus warning is all about... but it seems to be okay now, right?

It doesn't run without internet connection. However, it does not send anything over the internet just reading actual EST and if there are updates available.

So I installed it on an old comp, just to be safe with the worm-warning, and it works.

Also with Pokerstars. (If you request tourney-summaries from Stars, which sucks lol).

Good job Bodypull, ty.

I don't like that! Why needs your program the actual EST and why does it need to check for new updates? I can check for update by myself! I think a lot other dislike it, too.

Is there a way to configure your firewall to give read-only access from the internet?

Once SnGLA has started up you can block it for the rest the session. It fetches the actual date and time only once, at start-up.

New release with corrected math

SnG Luck Analyzer v0.1.4

As many have noticed, nobody seemed to be ever lucky according to this analysis. This was because the equity calculation had a wrong offset in previous versions. The math is now corrected and hopefully right.

Look how drastically a tiny offset correction can change the final result after a couple of hundred hands. The same database was scanned with the old (v0.1.3) and with the new version (v0.1.4):

I hope we're getting closer!

Unfortunetely you have to reinstall and reimport all hands...
