For what it's worth, HEM2 starts up in about 50% of the PT3beta's time. startup time of Pt3 beta is about 1/2 of PT3 ( main release 3.10).
I do like the PT# button on the table it has the right functionality - "mark hands for review" . I do think it's the right thing in the right place. I do not like the overall layout of the application. I do like that the there is a log of the import' right in front of me. That was my big initial "like" that made me look into PT3 in more details. I do not like that PT3 can't figure out where my Hero sits. This is driving my nuts....
I really don't like all the fancy-shamanic interface of HEM2. I do like that HEM2's configuration is more visual. for example HUD's options - the changes are immediately visible in a small preview window.

I recently switched from HEM and i am very happy.
I dont know your machine caracteristics, but HEM2 takes ages to load and on mine, whereas pt3 last build (beta) takes seconds. (and its a craaaappy laptop).
When i click buttons on PT3 interface, things are immediate, screen does not freeze for seconds each time i click somewhere (hem does that on my machines).
I like the PT visual style a lot more. I hate the "flash" style HEM adopted. PTs overall gui is imo simply far more analytical and intuitive.
Support is very effeicient . They responded quickly and accurately to every question i had. I had a few problems with their competitor's support, where many of my questions simply never have been taken in consideration at all.
The ability to customize everything is great. You can acess to the soft at a deeper level than in hem, and build any stat (and graph it or use it in any report)
HUD is more customizable.( lines, prefixes, suffixes, display options like times/opportunities ...)
and thats only pt3
pt4 has all this plus a lot more it seems.
