-I was very worried about bringing up the Party hotkeys... scared that you might do something hasty, like removing yours. Please do not do that. The Party hotkeys and the info about those -as seen on the web page- has been there for years (although I'm not sure whether the info was originally in the client and not on the web page. I didn't discover those by trial and error, that's for sure). The functionality has been in PT3 for years. I would have thought that's enough time and test runs to convince you that there are no (general) problems with non-game-time key combos (BTW I'm sure you realize Party -and likely many others- use the Return key to make a bet - some of your dialogs seem to accept Return). Seems I was wrong and now regret bringing it up. I guess I owe an apology to anyone who hates using a mouse while doing review.
-I believe this is the first time a PT rep says you're not interested in providing
configurable hotkeys either, there has been a lot of talk about hotkeys in general so far, and there's quite a difference when your argument is based on some key combos that
could be used by
some networks. I'm fine with that, I just wanted to know you've acknowledged the feature request brought to you (you did ask for feedback in the OP). Thanks for clearing it up.
-I meant post
2160, I had some problems with the link yesterday and ended up writing the wrong post number. Sorry for that. It's not about AHK but the (apparent lack of an) API to do the stuff externally, in a clean way, via PT4.
-So if Windows standard uses CTRL+S for saving and OSX uses what-ever-key+S for saving, you can't use the platform standard combo because the standard is not the same across platforms. That sounds somewhat weird but once again, that's your option, thanks for clearing that up. Also, standard Tabbing works in some of your dialogs, but doesn't work properly in all of them. I was only asking for some consistency. Hopefully I'm not getting the Tab key usage removed from your interface altogether as it's still useful in some places (btw in case you didn't know, Tab key has a function at iPoker tables, not sure about other sites).
I guess my all time score of "improvements achieved in this thread" just went to minus one. I'll take the hint.
