re: PokerTracker 3

Please try updating to our most recent beta - 3.11.2, available on our download page and see if that helps.

If it doesn't, please restart PT3 using the Logging Enabled link on your Start menu, reproduce and report this problem and we'll investigate further for you from there.

Ok, the hands are being imported again. But now the hud only starts at cashgames and not at tourneys or sngs, which i mostly play. What to do?

re: PokerTracker 3

Do you have PokerStars set to play in English? If not that can cause this sort of behavior - please see the HUD FAQ for other similar reasons the HUD might not display.

re: PokerTracker 3

Yeah PokerStars is in english, the strange thing is that the HUD does start when opening a cashgame table, but it doesnt start when opening a tourneytable or sngtable..

re: PokerTracker 3

That often happens with language issues because we can't recognize the tables with non-English names. Please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce and report this problem and we'll look into this issue for you further - I don't believe it's a general issue as others would be reporting similar behavior.

re: PokerTracker 3

I just downloaded the trial and am trying to figure this all out. I haven't used any software before and I'm really new to all of this. Overall it is showing me as being up $33, when in reality I'm up about $86. Sharkscope has me up $76, so I'm not sure why it has me up $33. Would it be because some of my hand history got deleted before I could import it to the software?

The thing is also that it has me being down in June, which I'm almost positive I'm not.

Edit: It doesn't look like it's recording any transactions from heads up SNG's. I'm playing on Carbon.

I mean make it happen again so that the log files will show us what exactly is going on so that we can get it fixed.

If hand histories were missing, and PT3 couldn't import them, then PT3 would not know anything about what happened in those hands - it would certainly lead to some amount of disagreement with your cashier balance.

The Merge network does not write tournament summaries, so PT3 cannot always figure out how you did in a given tournament. You can edit your tournament results manually however via the Tournaments -> Enter Results window. For more on tournament results please see the Tournaments FAQ.

re: PokerTracker 3

Do you have to do that for every heads up game then?

I'm also curious about something else. I play 6 seated Superturbo's and I'm trying to determine exactly what information is relevant. I'm not sure why VPIP is valuable to me because obviously this changes based on the number of people left in the tournament. As far as I can tell, the HUD doesn't account for this, but I'm sure I'm missing something. Why is this important? Is there like a guide to using HUD's, something specific by tournament type?

re: PokerTracker 3

I also don't know how to select my preferred seat. I searched this thread for it, and this came up.

"is there a favorite seat position for merge? the hud positions are all over the place for me.

Yeah, select Merge in the site list on the auto import tab and go to the "Merge Network Configuration" tab. You'll then be able to configure your preferred seats for the different table sizes. "

However, that option is greyed out for me.

Edit: Nevermind, had to stop auto import

For any tournament without results, you'd need to add the results manually if you want your overall winnings to match up - PT3 just can't figure that information out on its own - the site doesn't give it to us.

You can set PT3 to only show you data from certain size tables when you're at that table size. In the Configure --> Configure Hud --> Hud Options tab set the Player Ranges - whenever you're between the min and max numbers you set, you'll only get data from hands played with that many players. So for example, if you set one to 4 to 6, then you'll only get 4, 5 or 6 handed data when 4, 5 or 6 handed. You can set these however you like, so long as the ranges don't overlap.

Thank you. Is there a way to keep the HUD from starting me with 0 hands at each new tournament?

So there's no way you can just enter the results for that type of tournament and then apply them to all the other tournaments. So it just assigns the values based on the finish? Or it doesn't have that information either so you have to do them all manually? For me it is showing up what position I finished in so why isn't there away to apply the same settings to other similar tournaments after filtering?

Edit: Nevermind, found the auto detect thing.

I'm still confused as to why there are a bunch of random tournaments that don't seem to have results. There are some STT's, both heads up and 6 handed that aren't even showing finish position and there are quite a few MTT with the same issue.

Also, is there a stat for how often a person pushes back on a steal attempt?

No this is by design - this way you can see how the other players at the table view your play at the table. They may not remember or know anything else about you but they have seen you play as you've been playing today.

We do the best we can with the information we're given. The rules are very complex and we try and update them as best we can - if you have a tournament that we should be able to detect your finish in but failed to do so please feel free to attach the hand history for the tournament to a support ticket and we'll look into what we can do to improve our rules based on that tournament.

Yes, that stat is called "Raise vs Steal Attempt".

Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it.

So there is no way for me to monitor what my stats are? I'd like to know my VPIP, etc, over a longer span than one tournament.

You can view your overall stats in the reports in the main tracker.
You can see your stats in the Player Statistics report on the General tab, and you can add any stats that you like to this (or other) reports.

Thanks.

I realized that the overall winnings are probably also off because of rakeback. Is there a way to account for this?

re: PokerTracker 3

You could create a custom statistic for amount won with rakeback if you would like - there are a couple of those in the repository for free download.

Is it possible to run the PT3 hud at the same time as the HM run is running?

Thanks

re: PokerTracker 3

I just wanted to analyze some of my hand-history and I had to build a filter that shows all the All-In hands that went to showdown.

I had to build a complex filter to do that. Is there maybe an easier way to do this that I am overlooking?

I had to use Action->Street->Raise-All-In for each street together with went to showdown.
Also I had to use Facing->All-Ins that were not being folded to (this will include calls and raises, there is no checkbox for Facing allin, Raise-Allin as it might happen in multiway situations).
