I am also a developer who runs customer service on a poker app and here's my thoughts:

1) It's really hard to help users who don't initially follow the setup guides/videos very closely and get as far as they can on their own. I'm not familiar with minion's setup steps but to me it seems like you either got stuck really early on, or you weren't able or willing to slowly work through the setup steps on your own.

2) Very few people in customer support will want to do a teamviewer call for setup on their apps. The reason the guides and videos exist is so that each user won't need a 1 on 1 session for setup. It's much easier for us if you write out exactly where you get stuck and we can help you in the times we check our support channels. Catching support for poker apps in the moment is pretty rare and most of us have a lot going on since we're usually also the primary developers too.

3) MeleaB was responsive and reasonable each time you reached out even gave a fresh trial when things weren't resolved in time. Should this have been resolved in less than a week? Yes of course but it seems like you weren't asking targeted questions early on, but wanted him to walk you through the full setup which like i mentioned previously is a big ask.

MeleaB really only could have helped resolve things a bit faster for you, but from what i could tell as a third party he seemed responsive and polite. Apologies if this rubs you the wrong way, just giving my perspective from the other side.

Firstly, thank you to doubledave22 for your response.

To address the muppet making the complaint: I don't think much more needs to be said; people can read the full transcript and come to their own conclusion.

In case the poster logs onto 2+2 again, I'll post the final message that I sent him over Telegram that wasn't included in the log above as he blocked me:

"The reason why things took over a week is because you put zero effort in to begin with. You couldn't be bothered to follow the instructions or go through the set-up video. You literally demanded that I do all the work for you over TeamViewer.

From time to time, I experience people like you; lazy, rude, self-entitled. Most likely you're young and still live with your parents and are used to having everything done for you. Probably your mum still wipes your arse for you. The real world is a little different.

I'm around for the majority of the day. As explained previously, most of my availability is during the afternoon each day. Yet you want instant assistance 24/7, even at 2:43am! You expect someone to drop what they're doing no matter what that is to help you.

I'm happy to help people with as much assistance as they need, just so long as they're not disrespectful and lazy."

It's not resource-heavy, but the emulators generally are, so you need a suitable PC (including a strong graphics card.) See post #5 in this thread for some general advice on that.

This part of the convo got a chuckle out of me. It took the guy a total of six minutes after looking at the setup instructions (which even a layman should be able to follow eventually) to come to the conclusion that he wasn't gonna be able to do this. In the same breath, he immediately tries to outsource all the setup work for free to the developer of the product that he has yet to pay for and that he may not even end up paying for. Four minutes later he already starts asking where he (MeleaB) went, implying that he needs to start setting him up immediately.

Remarkable lack of awareness in the post.
