I tried to colorcode stars and fulltilt with new definitions and also created notes. Unfortunately none of it worked.

1. I created a definition for fish and one for LAG. After finishing I opened a random Stars table and I noticed:
- a fish beeing coded as a fish
- a fish beeing codad as a LAG
- a fish not beeing coded at all
Afterwards I used the test function for my color codes and checked all the players on the table with both Fish and LAG definition and the test worked fine. So the definitions seems not to be the problem. Just the created color codings are wrong (they have the (R) btw). I am not sure if codes for FT have been created, since there is not player fitting my definitions at the tables at the moment. The notes file has been changed though.

2. I used two definitions: 5bets (created myself) and 3betsHero (standard). The second one didn't create one single note (notes taken: 0, reported by notecaddy after finishing coding). Because there is no report/log after finishing notes (like this: colo coding stars added 345 colors, 146 notes type A added, 23 notes type B added) I can't say if 5bet notes has been created at all. But it seems like no notes have been taken on any player (I checked about 10 of them who did 5bet). But i noticed another strange thing: the HEM-color-coding for Hero has changed from blank to "crown" on stars. I didn't find any other changed HEM-color-codings though.

Since this is the 3rd major bug/problem I had using Notecaddy the 4th time, there must be something realy basic wrong with my settings, my PC or your software. Any Ideas?

also wanted to ask a couple more questions.

I play cashgame (a little) and tournaments (prof).. will it make notes for both and show me where the notes are relavant?

For example. Cashgames are (almost) always deepstacked where players have 100BBs+. MTTs a lot is based upon stacksizes and PF ranges instead of postflop play. Will this still show?

You can try doing color coding with logging enabled and the log will show the logic that was used to determine the color for each player.

yes there is - it says "notes added: x" right in the middle of the screen. Did you use seek to test your definitions?

NoteCaddy doesn't touch any hem autoratings which is what I think you're referring to here although I'm not sure I understand what you mean.

The cash notes might get applied to the tournament hands and you'd end up with way too many notes. The best way to use the software is to try creating notes then looking in HEM and see which information you think is useful and get rid of the rest.

The note history update is still showing nothing. I open, i search for a player and I click on the player. The window underneath remains empty with every nickname i try.

try doing file->export->export notes to text file which will show you all the notes that were created

I'll look into it. The way color codes are saved was just changed so it's possible some bug showed up (as was the other thing that happened to you)

I'm assuming you mean for your screen name - it doesn't do that by default because that would create way too many notes. You can change that though in file->settings->note settings

no - creating a new definition will create a pending task on the start page. If you run this pending task it will apply that definition individually

effective stacksize is the eff. stacksize of the table (i.e. the shortest stack that is behind us).. or just the stacks from the ppl in the hand after there is some money invested?

Also any tips on testing notes? Cause ive got a really big database, it would be a long process to keep on testing notes. and need to render all HHs

Maybe make the option that when you take the screens out of its tabs you can still press ctrl+s to save them instead of needing to put them back in the tab to do so.

pre flop effective stack size is the smallest stack that is still in the hand when whatever action you're filtering for takes place. Flop effective stack size is the smallest stack to see the flop

Handstrength doesn't work properly for PLO. It shows that someone shipped the flop with an overpair, when in reality he had overpair + flushdraw. It seems it is only using two holecards.
