Hey dave - What would I have to add to this, to be able to join a wait list/table w/ a hotkey?

I am using Stars Assistant, for this one and only feature. I turn off everything on the SA GUI. I much prefer the way your Urgent Table hands those functions, compared to SA.

AFAIK, this is the code in SA that lets me hotkey to join tables/waits. Will this code work if I add it to Stars Planner or Urgent Table? IIRC, I tried adding it to one of your scripts (not sure which script).

Code:
^z::
  RegSNG(LobbyID)
  OpenJoinUnJoinTable(LobbyID)
return

OMFG - How do I edit this out? This is terribly annoying.

Just to note, the user.ini file for vista is located in
C:\Users\[vista username]\AppData\Local\PokerStars

If you plan to update the code to check this directory as well, the environmental variable for the first part of the string "C:\Users\[vista username]\" is USERPROFILE

This is what comes up for me every time I open SP.

What is annoying you?

if you search the script for "Waiting List" and "Seat Available" - you'll find the bits to delete.

But why?

Oops, fixed.

That should be "if", not "is" - dunno how on earth that happened

I run a 4+2 grid. I usually join 10-15 wait lists, and then take the first 3-4 tables. I then have 10+ wait lists that will eventually now pop-up automatically. Often while in the midst of a hand. Sometimes 2 or 3 wait lists go off in rapid succession, overloading my layout.

I would just prefer to be able to have it the way it was, so I can ignore those wait list messages if necessary, and accept/decline manually.

I will try it some more today tomorrow, before I make my final decision.

Thx

yeah - if you are getting excessive table swapping / resizing, it must be down to the layout, not the waiting list pop-ups, I think - I couldn't reproduce it.

code tags not necessary, just makes it safer to copy/paste correctly.

Is it still happening for you with this new version?

I haven't tried 12 tabling, but no it hasn't happened. I'll do the code tonight, probably around 10pm EST.

I had not thought of the scenario where someone would normally have more layouts than they want tables, my bad.

I will add a new setting in the GUI, so you can choose the scripts response to the popupsas you play... like "Auto / No / Auto - Not Yet"

It probably came in a recent update, but for me now half the time the waiting list popups block input to the tables (unless using betpot) - so I cannot ignore them, they must be dealt with before acting on any table

Don't worry with the layout unless you still get problems (or want me to do something with it) - I am guessing at this time it was because your script was failing to find the f5 setting, so hijacking the mouse to resize - thus making you time out?

Hi Dave,

These two new features in Stars Planner (Waiting List and Seat Available pop-up handling) are a great addon to the the script. It greatly eliminates a lot of needless clicks for multi-tablers.

However, I lost a needed functionality from the previous version (0.4d) which may be a side effect of the new features or a programming oversight on the new version. In the early version, I was able to right click on the H icon in the systray and select "Reload this script" which would in effect "reshuffle" my tables to a "clean layout" from a "mess up layout".

I consider a "mess up layout" as one in which I have "holes" from tables that I left or broke up in a scattered manner. I prefer to refresh my layout every so often after some tables are dropped to tidy up.

However in the new version (0.4f), when I want to tidy up the tables and click "Reload this script", it de-selects the "Enable Re-Size and Arrange Tables" and I have to retick it to tidy up. In the early version, it would not de-select this option or any others.

It would be even cooler, if the "Reload this script" could be assigned to a hotkey sequence. Of course, without it deselecting the "Enable Re-Size and Arrange Tables".

Anyways, thanks for all the great work you do for the software forum and these scripts. I'll be sure to send you some beer money if you restore this functionality to the new script, especially with the option to hotkey this option.

I was supposed to implement some re-ordering functions in this update, and I know I've discussed them before on these boards, but not in this thread it seems I searched back to find out what they were supposed to be, and couldn't find them.

The option is still there. It is just you have closed StarsPlanner at some point with the "arrange" box unticked - it remembers these things when you close it. When you reload, it does not save settings.

So when you reload, it is using old settings - "arrange" off, in your example. What you have to do is exit the script with arrange ticked, then it will be ticked next time you load it.

There is an easier way to do this however - if you just click the layout selection drop-down box, re-choose the same layout - this will re-order all the tables with no holes, probably quicker than reloading.

Once I find the options discussed, I will certainly be adding hotkeys and/or buttons to "fill holes" - or I'll jujst make up what I think are good methods

Hello, If I check the "Sit out on all tables " Do I still play "free" hands or not ?

And ( if yes ) is it possible to still play the small blind automatically and play free hands after if we have just played the BB and then checked this box ?

Dave - this update seemed to not make my tables go nutty when I was 8 tabling. If I ever attempt to 12 table, I'll send my ini code over. Thanks again for the quick update!

OK, I am having major problems. I must be making some obvious mistake.

I just downloaded the latest versions of StarsPlanner and AHK. My question is, how do you ever get seated at a table? After I have opened some tables and joined the waiting lists, the pop up asking me if I want to join a table just flashes and disappears.

I have tried this with just the "Enable Keep Lobby" option checked, and also with both the "Enable Keep Lobby" and "Enable Automatic Buy In" options checked. Same result either way. The lobby does pop back up after I open a table.

I am running Windows XP Professional SP3. I have four monitors. I have two 21" monitors set at 1600x1200. I keep the lobby maximized on one of these monitors. On the other monitor, I keep four open tables. I do not resize tables.

The other two monitors are set at 800x600, and each monitor displays one table.

I opened six tables and clicked on Capture. I named the captured layout "six tables". I thought this would cause Stars Planner to automatically place newly opened tables in an open slot. Instead, the lobby then becomes permanently minimized and I cannot get it to display.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Hello there!

I really like that little miracle called StarsPlaner

But 2 questions here:

a) i have problems with "f5redrawtable=1". Up to now i worked it around by leaving this option deactivated. If i activate it with my (overlapping) table arrangement(s) the tables start flickering arround wildly as soon as i try to open >3 tables or rearange already opened tables.
As StarsPlaner works fine for me with f5redrawtable deactivated that's more a remark than a feature request :-P

b) Is it possible to integrate a gimmik like "right click to fold and rebuy if necessary". Or are there existing other solutions i don't know of?

Thx for any answer

OK, I managed to figure out the solution to most of my problems. First of all, I was just doing a Capture, not Configure and Save. Once I did that, the table arrangement worked perfectly.

But "Enable Resize and Arrange Tables" still wasn't checked when I exited and restarted Stars Planner. So I opened the Stars Planner configuration file on the desktop and changed the following entries --

PlanTablesOn=1
KeepLobbyOn=1
AutoBuyInOn=0
KillFoldConfirmOn=0
ChosenLayout=1

Now the "Enable Resize and Arrange Tables" is still checked when I exit and restart. But "Enable Keep Lobby" still isn't checked when I restart.

The lobby is no longer permanently minimized, as long as I open less than 6 tables. If I open a sixth table, the lobby is again permanently minimized. If I close one of the tables, the lobby is restored.

I can also now join tables, as long as I have less than 6 tables open.

Stars Planner is now just about perfect for my purposes. It would be great if you could fix it so I can join tables and keep the lobby visible with six tables open.

I play full ring limit games exclusively. I understand you are working on a fix for limit games for automatic buy in for the default amount. That would also be great.

Dave, you are doing a fine job.

I bolded, italicized and underlined the following statement so you'd actually see it this time.

Added separate checkbox for "untick auto post", in addition to "sit out next hand"

Added no-taskbar-icon mode, for 1p0kerboy. There is a variable in at the top of the script if you prefer old look, and a new tray-menu option to "restore GUI" when it is closed.

Made usef5redraw default, with warning. Vista makes the setting hard (impossible) to auto-determine, so this is now default setting. SET THIS VALUE IN STARS user.ini file - it is far superior to hijacking the mouse!!! If you somehow cannot, there is a variable at the top of the script to revert to mouse-hijacking table resize routine.

Also, it now snaps iPoker, Prima, Crypto tables to the grid.

Hey Dave,
Can you help me with with setting up a layout for 20-tabling (4 rows x 5 columns) on a 30 inch Dell WFP3007? I've tried setting it up myself, but when the tables open up and resize and align, it seems only 80% of the original table shows up in the resized table. I would really appreciate your help on this, as I really have no clue what I'm doing wrong.

I realized that if I click the corner of each table (which you use to adjust the size), it will revert to a proper resized version. But that's really annoying to do for each table when there's 20 of them.

This is because you do not have the f5redrawtable=1 set in the [options] section of PokerStars user.ini.

Add that line (when Stars is not running).

Hi Dave,

Great additions to the script. I posted a question a while back but didn't get an answer. In this script the pop up killer doesn't work. An example is the "Do you really want to leave?" dialog when you leave a table. This script never closes that for me.

I believe it's because the code you have is:

IfWinExist,Table ,Do you really want to leave?

However, the "Do you really want to leave?" text is not visible to AutoSpy.

Does this work for you (or anyone else)?

It works if I delete the "Do you really want to leave?" text.

Please help.
