I use the catcher myself just about every day, and sometimes when I'm on Bovada plus another site, I can't tell when people get stacked and sit out, and then they come back in. It will still track that persons stats even though their HUD went away while they sat out. It's the same person though. We have a ton of protections in there about that, and I've not heard anyone say a player wasn't be reset. Keep your eye on it, but I'm pretty confident that shouldn't be happening (just knowing the code myself).

Im thinking it may have only happened once and otherwise im just unsure due to tables but this one time was as follows:

I saw a player who was shortstacking and had very high stats over about 70 hands but all of a sudden had a full 100bb stack even so I opened up the replayer to see what happened. after clicking back 5 hands in the replayer it showed the seat as empty for a hand and then right after the original player/stacksize of like 30bb or so, Which I assume means he left and then was replaced (I never noticed the new player + sign) but the hud stat for that location never reset. The odd thing is the player in question seemed to play the same as the previous one so I still thought it might be the same player. The only reason to think otherwise was the empty seat in the replayer for a hand and the change in stack size without a notable hand in replayer to explain the change

When I use the "Tag hand in progress" feature it doesn't save the hand that day.

Another thing that isn't a software problem, I requested to download my hands from Bovada about 20 hours ago and have since opened and closed my client many times and they are still not downloaded. Usually it is instantly, anyone have this going on?

It shouldn't be happening, so just keep your eye on it. But I haven't seen it, haven't had it happen in any testing, and haven't had anyone report that on here or support. This release has been out awhile so I'd assume we'd have heard of something about it by now. Let me know though if you happen upon it.

Try changing your HH offset in settings on the card catcher. Maybe your timezone is off, and you can adjust back a couple of hours. You can open one of the hand histories in the card catcher import folder and see what the time stamp is in comparison to your local computer time.

Mr. Freakdaddy

Is bodova cardcatcher something that works alone to produce a HUD or does it work in combination with Pokertracker4. I'm looking to create a situation like I had back in the day when I used to play where I had a HUD and tracking afterwards to see my results, etc. And I think I'd rather play on Bodova than Winning Poker Network which allows Pokertracker 4 natively.

Thanks,
Sunny

The Bovada card catcher works in conjunction w/ an existing database like HM or PT4. It isn't a HUD on it's own.

On a side note, I would highly recommend Bovada. It's a very juicy site and payouts (minus maybe 2 times since black Friday) are timely.

Havent noticed since but Ive had far worse problems due to PT4 crashing a lot. My laptop has been performing too poorly to grind on so I purchased a new one today and will also be looking to get a desktop next month. Is there a way that I can transfer my card catcher and hand converter licenses from my old laptop to my new one and/or my desktop machine once I get it?

As a US player, I wanted to play on Bodova first. Unfortunately I could NOT get money into it despite my best efforts. My banking/credit cards wouldn't work because of my local bank saying nope. Bitcoin wasn't working because I'm a US resident. I went to the store to get a prepaid visa but couldn't find one that worked internationally.

I went over to the WPN and my card went through. I guess I'm playing there. But I tried, I really tried.

Yes, just contact support when you're ready to go to your new system and they can transfer the license for you.

Gotcha... yeah, it's not always easy depending on where you are to get money onto Bovada. I would have suggested just contact their support and they will actually recommend a location that is close to you that has the pre-paid VISA's you need. That's what they did for me. I had to go to a 7-11 and get one (it was a black international card if I remember). But it worked, and the rest has been easy since then.

I'm in a 10/20 FL game and the hands are being imported as $10 NL. Restarted the catcher same problem

Prepaid cards can't be used internationally until ID documentation is sent to the card manufacturer. It's fairly new rules due to the Patriot Act. When I got my card at CVS, I thought that I'd just be able to make a deposit with it immediately but I couldn't. It only took a few hours for me to get the card verified though.

Sorry if I am late to the party, but I have a question about Bovada rules and Bovada Poker Card Carcher HUD. I recently emailed Bovada support asking if another HUD software that works on Bovada (I won't mention the name here) is permitted to be used. They replied saying that no software that gives an unfair advantage to a player is allowed.

I don't really know if that answered my question, honestly, so now I am wondering if this Card Catcher HUD would violate any Bovada Poker rules if used while playing poker on there? Thanks for your thoughts!

What version of the catcher are you using? I thought you had the latest.

Yeah, I went though the same thing, but I didn't have to verify anything that I can recall. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, but still a pain to have to go pay for a pre-paid card.

Using a HUD is not against their TOS. People have been using HUD's on there for years. They just don't want you tracking users, which you can't do anymore because tables are anonymous.

HUD's have been used on there forever. No one has ever had any accounts banned. We wouldn't sell a product if that was the case. And probably someone would make quite a scene in this thread if that was the case since there's a lot of people who use this product, correct?

I am about to get the trial for this software, but I just wanted to make sure about something first.

Say, if I am playihg multiple tables of SNGs on Bovada, and all the tables just have players as numbers, how does the Card Carcher tell them apart in the database and display appropriate, different numbers in the HUD on the different tables for the players who share the same number? Thanks very much!

Super strange because this issue was addressed a long long time ago. You have it setup as ipoker correct? I'll have someone check it out, but it's strange I haven't heard any issues come up from this.

It assigns a random ID number to each player, so ex: Plyr1_N48ffgx

Each player will have a different ID in your database and the catcher knows when players leave and new players sit, or players sit out and sit back in (uses same stats).

Yeah, everything else is perfect. It's no big deal, as long as stats don't get messed up when it thinks it's a different game. I'll let you know if I see it again.

if you have the free trail; what do you need to purchase to continue to have the same product?

also for hu sng, it only tracks the buyins, and not the winners it seems

Yes, please let me know. I had someone run a quick test today, but it came up fine.
