I had used the converter in the past and it worked great. But I haven't played at Bovada and used the converter for the last one year and half. Recently I started playing at Bovada again, and found the converter doesn't work any more. When I click "convert Folder", it does show files found and processed. However, in the output directory bovadahandhistory, there is no new file, while the new original files do go to the directory of BovadaProcessed. Could you show me how to fix this? Thanks.

We put betas up on here and our forums, and official updates will come up as an auto update. It's funny you say this though because an auto update is coming today.

Just double check your process and watch the tutorial video to make sure you're not missing anything. I get a ton of these same kinds of posts, and it's always something simple that is being over looked. The converter works fine, so just check each part of what you're doing and you'll get it.

Hmmm, yeah that's odd. I haven't seen one of those in forever really. It looks like PT is possibly going back to the old pot total config and taking the full size in these spots, which is what it should be. These kinds of hands happen all the time. I'll take a look at it, thanks.

I put out an update as the main build to address some of these Bovada corruption hands. I'm seeing a lot of hands that are cut in half, missing headers, garbled junk in the file. I haven't seen them do anything that bad in the last couple of years. They'd sometimes have some double lines that the converter would sort out, but I hope they resolve this soon. Any ways, the update build is here and I'm putting it up as an auto update soon as well:

If anyone comes across any corrupted hands that won't import, if you can please send them to support. Most of the recent Bovada corruption has some sort of pattern we can fix. We think we got them all, but each individual setup might create a new pattern. I need the original unconverted Bovada hand. You can send them to support as an attachment from this form:

I have been using the software, but it doesn't seem to do a very good job of differentiating sit and gos. Or at least when I import them into PT4, some of the sit and gos are combined into on group, and some become MTTs instead, even though I only play STTs.

If there's nothing in the file from Bovada it gets labeled as an MTT (if it has tourney structure). Most of them as far as I understand are fine, but if the information is not present, we can't put something in there that does exist. But the hands will go in fine and then you can edit the tourney type.

this is not a problem for me as in occurs so infrequently, so feel free to put in on the back burner.

Ha, thanks. I think we have most of these Bovada corruption issues resolved. That's really the only thing happening right now, and it's not a consistent issue.

But please, send any of those hands in (original hands), and I will definitely have them looked at.

Anyone having problems converting hand histories all of a sudden?

I was gone for about a week and downloaded some hand histories today and tried to convert them but the convert just doesn't work. It says 23 files found and processed but no hands processed or anything.

Fwiw I've downloaded and converted 200k hands or more this year alone with no problems. The files are showing to be in my Bovada download folder. But not in the converted folders.

Freak I sent you a PM about this. Please help.

Oh also did a fresh install with no luck

some of these may have been converted with 1.0.41. the converter just updated to 1.0.42.

So you updated to .42, and you still have an issue correct? Because Bovada is corrupting a lot of hands since their update for some people. It doesn't seem to be everyone, but we put out 2 updates to address any of the corruption we could fix. We're still looking at more hands also.

Are you 100% positive you're converting hands you are registered for (meaning you have cash registered) and they are cash hands, not tourney's or visa-versa? Have you gone back over your process and made sure you're not converting from the wrong directory? (this happens a lot).

Double check all of that, and then take a peek at the original hands too. If there's something strange looking, please send them to support. We'll look at them. Hopefully it's just one of the above though.

Ok, if you can send any to support that you know were updated w/ .42 and have an error. Because I can tell some of these have the fix that was applied from .41 to .42. I want to be absolutely sure. If you close PT and then re-open it should clear your error log for you. And if you do happen to get any, if you just just send them to support that way I can put them in the priority que for the developers to look at.

I think they have one other corruption issue, and if so we'll put out another update. The .42 build should come up as an auto update also now. If it's not for anyone, just click check for updates.

Hmmm for some reason it says that "tourney" is what is registered and that I don't have a cash license? How is that possible when I have both? And I've been converting hands for a while from cash.

So what do I need to do?

Ok, I'll check on this for you. Maybe something changed in your hardware profile, or it didn't validate for some reason. I'm not sure honestly, but it can probably just be reset and then re-register it.
