This question has certainly been presented before, but since the software is developing so rapidly I'd like to ask anew. The other threads I've seen are a few years old
Is there a concise side by side comparison of HRC to ICMizer somewhere?
I have used ICMizer the last couple of years but am thinking of switching over to HRC since my subscription just expired.
I have the latest HRC demo, but am kind of stumbling with it.
I've seen some say it's really just a matter of preference regarding UI between ICMizer and HRC and that there is more training content that uses HRC.
Any advice that may tip the scale before I invest some time into switching over?
Cheers

When comparing the stable version of HRC vs Icmizer, I'd say they cover a similar set of features and it really comes down to the type of UI approach that you prefer. Icmizer uses a "Hero" centric approach where the UI focuses on one specific line to keep things simple and easier to understand. HRC is more like a typical solver interface where you can interact with the entire game tree.
Besides that, there are some differences that just come down to the type of service: HRC runs locally on your PC and can interact directly with your PT4/HM2 database, do offline calculations, etc. But the calculation speed is also dependent on your available hardware. So if you are working on a very outdated PC then this may not be the best scenario for you and a web based service may be preferable.
The latest beta version of HRC does extend into Postflop equity realization for deeper stacked play beyond simple push/fold or raise/fold games. This is simply not covered by Icmizer at all and is more along the lines of SPF/Monker/DTO functionality, just fully integrated with our tournament features.
Thanks for that Plexiq...exactly kind of details I was looking for. That's a really interesting new addition and could definitely be worth the switch. Will just put the demo through its paces then to see how my lil laptop handles it.
Cheers!
Oh, hah. We did actually set one up in 2020 but never ended up using it for public support.
I'll set a new one up for the beta testers in the next few days and we'll just see how it goes from there.
Ty!! platform like Discord often makes things much easier to deal with, seek out and support will most likely be much more effective. a win win situation for both consumers and owners. Excited. And the new beta version is insane and your are on the right track
When using the nash calculator. Do i put in the stacks before blinds and antes are taken off, or after?
FE: the BB has 9.4 BB left after posting his BB. do i iuse 10.4 or 9.4 BB for the calculation?
pre ante and pre blinds. that means you need to plot stacksizes before posting ante and blinds. when using a handhistory from a tracker, you don't need to do anything, just copy/paste

Thanks I'll post/link details here once the discord is ready.

As posted above: Enter stacks from the beginning of the hand, before any blinds/antes are posted.
Hello! I want to know how can I find a HoldemResourches Team's contact because i want to talk about a sponsorship privately.
I'm sorry if my post here it's out thread, I will delete it istantly!
Hi , I have been using trial version of HRC and want to understand how to read bf matrix.
in 8x8 matrix, I see EP/CO ( in the EP row and CO column) bf to be 1.10 , and CO/EP bf to be 1.22
so in first case when EP shoves, CO has 1.10 bubble factor for it to call EP's shove
and in second case if EP raises and CO shoves, then EP has 1.22 bubble factor to call CO's shove
is that the correct understanding?

Why would HRC say something is losing 39bb but it's played 21%. maybe this is a dumb question but I see this a lot in my calcs and I just don't understand it.
If there is a mismatch between the green coloring and the bold played part then that means that the strategies didn't fully converge yet. Simply run additional iterations using the green "Run Nash Calculation" button in the toolbar. In a fully converged solution only the highest EV action(s) will be played.

The CO row / EP column shows CO's bubble factor when calling an all-in from EP (with no blinds/antes posted). The EP row / CO column shows EP's bubble factor when calling an all-in from CO (again, no additional chips in the pot).
This isn't based on any realistic action sequence, it's simply a tool to get a quick understanding of ICM dynamics.
1- No idea why but do not manage to load PS files in HRC. (Pokerstars.bg)
Seems OK with Spin&Go but no way to have other tournament... Can you assist here?
Seems like HHxxxxxxxx Txxxxxxxx No Limit Hold'em$xxxx+$xxxx.txt (import base on criteria) get in but not TSxxxxxxxx Txxxxxxxxxx No Limit Hold'em $xxxx+$xxxx.txt (empty import no error message)
2- Is there any plan to allow HM3 in the tracker list that we can import hands from there? Is there a way to defined it in in our own or that have to be done by HRC coding ?
Since I am new user of HRC, I have some few questioning
As regards strategy table, does it means no spot of 3Bet are profitable if for example from UTG (R), we do have only Calls and nothing else?
Example below after UTG only Call seems to be profitable when looking from EP some 3Bet come up
In that particular spot I was wandering if by 24% open range from UTG a push 3Bet AI will be OK from CO. How to know that if not in UTG Tree? Here I understand it s OK to call but not to push 3Bet AI - Is that correct?
Thank you for your support providing me some better understanding .
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, you simply edit & lock some ranges (double click) and then use the green "Run Nash Calculation" button in the toolbar to calculate the new equilibrium under the assumption that these locked ranges remain static.
@LektorAJ - thx for the reply.
I guess that was it but my got - Advanced is so slow and long for a single hand - Is there a specific setting to apply that you do not have to wait that long for the result?
Really hard to answer without knowing what you tried to calculate. If you are using the regular engine then you may want to restrict the calculation to the line that actually interests you (last dialog page). e.g. only calculate the subtree after EP opens a manually defined range. This can easily speed up the calculation by factor 5x or so.
Alternatively use the Monte Carlo mode and do subtree sampling for the relevant line only.
