Got another problem. For some reason, I just went to check my lifetime HUSNG stats, and it showed I was up an extra $900 than I should be, so I checked it out, and apparently I'm up $900 in freerolls. lolwutttttt

Please update to the latest version - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/rele...lease-4-a.html

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

If the problem persists in a new DB, Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com

HM does not support play money or freerolls.

i think one of the graphs lines need to be double weight or maybe dotted or dashed so i know which is which

Im having a problem when playing HU at a 5 max table (starting a new table, and waiting for it to fill up obv)

My hud doesnt show up till its 3 people or more. This is at a BOSS client.

Sometimes the autoimport also imports way to many hands. An individual hand can be imported up to ten times...

Anyone know how to solve theese problems?

1. the HU problem - i think this is fixed in our latest prerelease: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/rele...lease-4-a.html

2. That should not happen - i guess your database is damaged. You should create a new one and reimport all your hands.

I'm stuck really bad. I haven't used HEM in a while and wanted to look up a few things.(updated lastest HEM though)
My postSQL won't completely connect. I have troubleshooted through virus/firewall issues, didnt help. Then I changed a few admin settings for each of the 3 programs in the HEM folder to function as complete admin, and that did nothing(even though my login is admin). Made sure the UAC settings are off as well, and now I'm still lost. (host file was changed too)
I have the error 1053: message. I have tried to start postsql through services, start/stop but when starting, it never actually connects.
Any other ideas on whats the problem/solution?
thanks in advance

You list that you support Bodog, but only through the IdleMiner program, which I can't seem to get to work (only on the trial). Am I SOL or am I maybe doing something wrong with IdleMiner?

Thanks.

Also, I'd like to see some sort of average finish position in the overall stats for tourneys. Maybe a percentage of the number of entrants? I think it would also be sweet to have a graph of tourneys entered with the # of entrants and our finish position, but I'm not sure how best to break it down. I can think more on it if it's something you all might possibly include.

Never mind on the average finish position... I found enough detail elsewhere (in places I hadn't looked previously).

I would like a filter for Rebuy tournaments... Shouldn't be too difficult, IMO.

Thanks.

Please install the latest version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe and go to Filter > Clear and then Filter > Use for all. Also try enabling the Options > Settings... > Miscellaneous > [x] Auto apply filter changes to all tabs

If that doesn't solve it your database may be corrupted.

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
4) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ender+Problems
5) Install Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer 9 (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

The secondary logon service is a standard windows service which is available on every windows computer. In the latest versions it is not started automatically. You need to start it via control panel > administrative tools > services > secondary logon > right-click > start AND right-click > properties > startup type: automatic.

First try to reboot.

If no help, try this:

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service

*If UAC is enabled you have to Right-Click > Run As Administrator when you Start/Stop the service.

If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it.

Add exceptions to the windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, do the equivalent or uninstall it temporarily - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...ender+Problems

Please try following these FAQs, step by step:

1) http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+
2) reinstall the same version of postgresql, using the same \data folder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Old+Database
3) http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=8261

If that doesn't help you will probably have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely and reimport your hands using these instructions

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) run the command - start > programs > accessories > command prompt > right-click > run as administrator
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.3.9 from this link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...3.9-v1.0.7.exe

Install it to a new path such as C:\PostgreSQL\8.3 instead of the default installation path.

Yes, you must use Bodog HandGrabber to use HM on Bodog.

Here is our FAQ on setting it up - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...og+Poker+Setup

Here is a recent thread detailing some random problems with the current BHG. Some people it will simply not write files for.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...update-964068/

I had one customer that solved it by removing/replacing Avira.

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager, and make sure there are no BHG conflicts.

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Please install the latest version: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

I am fairly confident that has been suggested in the past but I have no ETA for when/if it will be available.

It surprises me that it's not a more common request and that it hasn't been done, TBH. I know nothing about programming, but it seems like you'd just have to have the filter point to the rebuys/addons field in the tourney details.

Please to be suggesting it again?

Also, any chance we can get a bb/100 graph for all tourney hands? I run bad in tourneys and want to accurately bitch about it.

Last edited by Leroy2DaBeroy; 07-07-2011 at 12:38 AM. Reason: bb/100 = 5.8, EV bb/100 = 13.7

Please zip and mail the original handhistory files (you find them in the HM archive folder or in the handhistory folder of your poker client) together with a link to this thread and an explanation of the problem to support@holdemmanager.net. We will then try to reproduce the problem.

Hey, I'm currently on the 15 day trial while I wait for a new serial key to be sorted after reformatting my computer. I'm having a problem where after a fresh re-install HEM comes loads up but the HUD won't work at all even though it is importing hands in real time. I've tried relaunching the HUD and going into the Program Files folder and manually launching the HUD but it doesn't respond in any way (no error messages or anything).

Second, when I've gone to launch HEM after the first time I get the following error messages, starting with the top, continuing to the second and then the 3rd stays there indefinitely after pressing continue:

Is it a permission issue? It's very frustrating. I also have 3 postgres users even though I've uninstalled it each time due to reinstalls trying to fix the problems.

Thank you for your time.

Your main config file is corrupted.

0. Make sure you have installed the latest Beta version http://forums.holdemmanager.com/rele...lease-4-a.html
1. Note your database connection settings from the database management
2. Close holdemmanager
3. Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
4. Rename the file holdemmanager.config to holdemmanager.config.corrupt or sth. like that.
5. Under Vista make sure that UAC is switched off or check the administrator settings for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe under properties->compatibility
6. Restart Holdemmanager
7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings
7a. A new holdemmanager.config file is generated
8. Reconfigure your database connection
9. After successful start reconfigure your Auto-import settings
10. Table manager should start again.

If none of that helps, I would suggest a clean reinstall:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...o+Uninstaller+

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Preferences+

1) Export any custom HUD configs individually, make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files. If you have custom filters/reports/stats, just copy the entire \holdem manager folder before uninstalling.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works
