Hi,

Ran a virus check and had 36 files with problems. Issues centred around HoldemManager.exe,HMHud.exe,HMImport.exe and DBControlPanel.exe.

Confirmed keylogger/Trojans in there like BDS/Poision and TR/Agent.

Not 100% if problems are false positives. At the moment I have stopped using the HUD and have switched to a new operating system.
I am not completely opposed to reformatting and installing a fresh new operating system if that is what is needed.

Would appreciate any advice on how to move forward on this issue.

i'm sorry if this question has been asked before:

when i play rush poker, it seems that the HEM popup stats aren't updated mid-session. if i have 50 hands on a guy and play ~20 more with him throughout that session, the stats don't update and it stays at the 50 hand sample. is this how it's supposed to be? or is there a way to change this?

Yes, they move in unison, but they dont move logically at all. For example I can move one and the other one moves, but to a complete strange place not logically connected with the place it should be if they moved unison(ly).

But I am also using more than one panel. Kind of strange because it worked with 6-max.

There is no way to do it at the table. You could use the Hands tab, or Sessions tab, and mark hands via the right-click menu.

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Close HEM and your anti-virus and delete any \xenocode\appliance cache folders and any other possible false positive files.

1. Enable "Show hidden files and folders" under Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View
2. Go to C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Xenocode\Appl iance Cache and delete every folder you can find in there

If you are on XP, that location is C:\Documents and Settings\%USERPROFILE%\Local\Application Data\xenocode\appliance cache

Empty your recycle bin.

reboot

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe


If you have Kaspersky try this:

or this:

* Go into the KAV settings window.
* Navigate to the Service node.
* Here, turn on the Compatibility mode for programs using self-protection option.

If that does not work then find the "Heuristic Scanning" option in Kaspersky and disable that.

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Make sure the HUD Options > Site Options > Full Tilt has everything disabled/un-checked.

options > configure auto import folders... > auto-detect > ok

If you continue to have problems start a thread on our forums or email us in support so we can try some other debugging techniques.

If you are using more than 1 panel you want to move the main panel first, typically the one with the note icon image on the left of the panel. Move the main panel for each seat and the sub-panels will follow along for each player. Once you have the main panels near where they belong you can start moving the sub-panels around.

Now you should start moving the sub-panels via right-click for those positions that are the most uniform/symmetrical for all of the players. Once you have those placed you want to start using the Ctrl + Right-Click to move the other sub-panels. Now the sub-panel should move independently without moving the other player's same sub-panel around.

This, it disappears and when I move the table a little it shows again.
Happens to me on both pokerstars and merge.

They are still working on it. One of our techs has been running a debug version for the developers but it is slow going as you have to actually final table the tourney or its of no use to the debug.

is it possible to use HM w/out being online? I would like to view my stats sometimes and I don't have internet connection. Also I'd like to delete some hands as well

You should be able to use HM offline intermittently. It should check the registration server every 10 - 15 days.

You can right-click and delete hands manually or use the Options > Settings... > Observed HH Configuration > Purge Hand History Options.

Does HEM automatically track results of MTTs for stars? (18 mans, 45 mans, 180 mans +)

PT does this only for STTs and this alone would be reason to changeover... Or Would I need to manually load them. If so, is this a time consuming process?

Hello fozzy, I updgraded my windows and then my video card drivers but it still didn't get the problem fixed.
I downgraded to 1.11.04 and its now working OK, I hope you get the problem fixed in future versions.

Yes, I knew that. But the problem is that you have to find the stat in a popup to see the sample size. You can't just put your mouse over the stat and see the sample.

Today Ive played 2 sessions where the hud was working just fine and then my 3rd session in the middle of playing my tables froze up like I was getting some lag and then a a popup said the hud isnt responding. I close it down and restart the hud and it does the same thing as well as turning hem off and restarting it. Any clue what this is?


Im gonna restart my comp and see if this changes.



edit: its fixed now, dont know what the deal was tho

A question about marking hands and sending hand histories:

After I played a hand today, I pulled it up so that I could mark it. I never really payed attention to the little 2+2 box before, and I was wondering what it's for. Does that somehow give me text that I can copy and paste into a 2+2 post?

Same. If the game is more than 1 table the hand histories dont have enough information for us to figure out the place, prize, etc. You have to request and import the summaries. Pokerstars said they will eventually write the summary files (hopefully similar to how to Full Tilt does it) but we have no ETA when this might happen.

Did you try any of the versions in between like 1.11.05 or the 1.11.05 Beta builds at the bottom of that page? Force on Top doesn't help you either?? There are a lot of versions between .04 and .05a and it would help if we could narrow it down closer to when the problem arose.

Enable logging from the HUD options->Table prefs menu. When the crash happens again, go to the logs\log.txt file and move it to another location before you restart the hud. I want to get the 'crash' log.txt file after you finish playing. If you restart the hud before moving the log.txt file, it is overwritten.

It will copy the hand to your clipboard in a 2+2 friendly format. If you want to use a hand converter you want to find the hand inside HM > Right-Click > Copy Hand to Clipboard, and then paste it into your converter.

Does the Table Manager open? You reinstalled recently? Reinstalled HM or Windows? Some people were missing some \replayerskin images and it would cause no HUD or no replayer.

Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Make sure HM is running as admin and set exceptions in your firewall. Turn off windows defender.

1. Close holdemmanager
2. Go to \RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config and find default.txt
3. Rename the file default.txt file to default.txt.corrupt or something like that.

5. Restart Holdemmanager
6. Table manager should start again.

If not, try this:

1) Export any custom HUD configs and Copy/Paste your \Config folder before deleting any files as a backup.
2) Close HM and the Table Manager.
3) Delete your existing HUD Prefs files, so HM will rebuild them to default.
4) Delete > \Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml, pospref.txt, and pospref2.txt, and pospref4.txt and exenames.txt
5) Start HM< Auto Import, Open the Table Manager, and test on a single cash table.


If that doesnt work, you can try this:

1. Note your database connection settings from the database management
2. Close holdemmanager
3. Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
4. Rename the file holdemmanager.config to holdemmanager.config.corrupt or sth. like that.
5. Under Vista make sure that UAC is switched off or check the administrator settings for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe under properties->compatibility
6. Restart Holdemmanager
7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings
7a. A new holdemmanager.config file is generated
8. Reconfigure your database connection
9. After successful start reconfigure your Auto-import settings
10. Table manager should start again.

I'm playing on Lock, a skin of Merge. My hand histories save, but each day they are grouped into a new folder (i.e. folder 20101102) for November 2nd 2010, etc. Is there a way that all these can be grouped together so that I don't have to set up new import folders every day? I don't think there is a way that you can manually change where the HH's are saved on Merge/Lock... any info would be appreciated

You should pick the \HandHistory parent folder to import from and it will naturally import from the sub-folders.

Is it possible to filter by size of tournament ? If I only want 45 man tournaments for example ? (the number of people is messed up in my HEM when playing tournaments bigger than 9 man )
