The few times I have seen this recently it was due to missing replayer image files. In \rvg software\holdem manager\replayerskin are there 2 folders?

Which Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using? Make sure you have set exceptions for hmhud.exe, etc.

Please make sure that HoldemManager has Administrator rights -

1) Go to C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)
2) Right-click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".
3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select "Run this program as an Administrator".
4) Do the same for HMHud.exe and DBControlPanel.exe

If none of that helps, I would suggest a clean reinstall:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works

What time filters are you using? 'Today'? Have you adjusted the Options > Settings... > Miscellaneous > Day Start Time? Are you in the same time zone as stars? If not, you should make sure that the pokerstars clock is set to ET and use the Options > Settings... > Adjust Site Import Times to make the hands appear in HM in your local time.

Hello, I am sorry to have to ask this as I'm sure this issue has been discussed before. I recently purchased a new laptop so I want to get HEM going on it. In the original email I have from when I purchased the first version it says my code is valid for 2 computers so hopefully that won't be an issue. My question is how do I get my old stats etc from the old DB to the new one? Thanks a lot.

Question about EV

9-man SNG, $11 buy-in, down to 5-handed. I'm the shortest stack, shove all-in on the button with 55, and get called by AKo in the bb. I win the hand and double up, HEM lists my EV for the hand as -$10.05. AK doesn't hit at all, so I would have won anyway, but I do hit a 5 on the river. Is it possible HEM processed this as a "suckout" despite being all-in pre? I'm just having trouble figuring out how HEM comes up with such a negative number for my EV in a flip, especially when we're not even in the money yet (and my stack makes my prior chances of cashing low).

I end up bubbling this tournament and get a final EV for the whole tournament of -$14.15... seems pretty weird to have "supposed" to have lost more than the buyin?

Just looked over the hand again, looks like the double-up put me just over 3rd for 2nd in chips, which I think makes the ev for that hand make a lot more sense. Shouldn't the negative ev still be capped at the buy-in (and shouldn't it also never reach it, since it implies you should never win anything in that tourney?)

I don't think there are any new stats. The 'Rake' stat, for hands imported after October 1st with the new version, uses the new weighted method.

so which report or which stat or which whatever turns up the exact rake payed on ftp ?

the std rake report gives me the exact same amount as the old one did...?

My understanding is if you delete/purge all the hands from October 1st - now, and import them again using .05 Final, it will calculate using the new method.

Try creating a new database and importing from your \hmarchive\2010\10 folder to the new database and compare the rake stats.

did exactly that...numbers are the same.

i use the pre fetch option to see the plays stats before i sit to the tables, but when a new table pop ups and is not on the top the first 3-5sec the stats dont desplay (let me say 7 of 10 times).

for now im clicking somewhere on the tabale when i open a new one to stay on top, but for multi tabling this isnt the best resolution

The pre-fetch doesn't display the HUD stats on an observed table until after the first observed hand is finished. If you open an observed table before the flop of one particular hand the pre-fetch will not show the HUD until after showdown.

Just wanted to make sure this is the desired result,
on beta 18 and still on the official 1.11.05, on poker stars scanner when you click join from HM or select many games then hit join, it does join the lists of games that are full but now on the tables with open seats it opens the game and auto seats me and buys me in.
The old way when it was working would open the table if seats were open then I could let the stats pop up before I take my seat, so i can check where the fish are, etc. and see if I even want the table. Now it just auto seats me and when it does this on several tables at once, sometimes i cant get to the sit out button before I am auto posting my blind(since thats what i have TN set on)
Is this the way its supposed to work now? I wish it would just open the tables that are not full and let me decide.

Hey Fozzy, I have uninstalled the whole HEM as it was continueing to give me more and more problems, especially with the HUD.

Whats the url I can use to manage my license, I have deleted the email.

Ok, it never asked me for license after uninstalled/reinstalling....I guess it must hold on to something. What I really wanted to do was clear out all my old databases because Im sure there was some kind of problem. The HUD was beginning to display bogus stats on everyone.

Also I never had to reinstall sql as in past even after uninstalling it.

I have reinstalled and resetup my huds, however there is one big problem.

The text on the hud is far too big and it seem 8 veranda is the smallest I can set to....

Sorry to keep posting and then fixing my problem, but I have fixed by clicking scale font.

I think 1.11.05 is making FTP crash. How can I go back to 1.11.04?

New to HEM so forgive the possible noob question but my rush hands don't seem to be appearing in my cash game reports. The HUD is working while I am playing Rush, so the hands must be importing, but they aren't appearing under my cash sessions. Regular, non rush, cash hands are importing perfectly.

Some questions. How do I see a list of databases and delete old ones.
Is there a limit to the size I should let my database get. I datamine and have found my HUD stops working correctly when database gets very large. How do I set the amount of hands my HUD displays on each player?
Is it best to have different databases for each poker site?

Is it possible to display the total winnings/losses for my current session(all tables) somewhere in the HUD. I have a habit of checking this and I have to go back into HEM and refresh "sessions" to view it at the moment. If not this might be a nice feature.

How do i get my stats to show up in the HUD? For some reason every new game hat opens, my hand count starts at 0 again.

Also... do duplicate hands double up the stats? or are they just ignored?

1 - Options > Database Management... > Connect > Optimize

2 - Select the Database from the Optimization window

3 - I recommend you use the [x] Quick option once a week, or every 10k - 30k hands

4 - Optimize > Yes

Wait for it to finish and change the greyed out Exit button back to a selectable option.


Once a month, or every 50 - 100k hands, you should run a [x] Standard or [x] Full option, instead of the Quick Optimization.


Next we need to Stop the PostgreSQL service so the Defragmenter can Defrag the Database.

Start > Programs > PostgreSQL 8,4 > Stop Server

Select both drive letter checkboxes > Analyze

Pick suggested Defrag process > Start Defrag


After Smart Defrag finishes you should restart your computer.

If you need to use HM before you restart your PC, then you need to Start Server.

*If your Database is on a SSD (Solid-State Drive) you do NOT want to do a defragment.

**If you have a SSD and install the Smart Defrag software you want to open the Auto Defrag tab and disable the [ ] Enable Auto Defrag. On the Schedule tab you should turn off the [ ] Enable Schedule. On the Options tab you should enable the [x] Do not display flash drivers and solid-state drivers. That will make sure your SSD is never defragmented, on purpose, or by accident.

You can have as many databases as you like but HM can only import to one database at a time. You will need to pick the proper default database before importing.

The Table Manager icon in the system tray will show a popup of your current session hands played and profits if you hover over the icon there.


HM is designed to only show your session stats at that table as we felt it was alot more useful for a couple of reasons:
1) A lot of people will have a huge amount of stats on themselves so it saves lagging issues having to show these for yourself
2) A lot of regulars are very aware of their stats and when youve alot of stats accumulated it would take a huge swing just for 1 stat to change since you've such a big sample and so there not very useful
3) Its much more beneficial to see your session stats to get an idea of how aggressive or passive people will see you since you sat at that table. (again even if its against a reg youll know yourself your overall image or at least you should)
4) You can easily check your overall stats in the reports section to remind any stats but again most people know their stats pretty well.


They are ignored/skipped.

i updated hm to 1.11.05 today and have a time-zone related problem importing hands.

For Example:

PokerStars Game #51031887395: Hold'em Limit ($3/$6 USD) - 2010/10/13 15:52:57 CET [2010/10/13 9:52:57 ET]
Table 'Sandrine' 6-max Seat #3 is the button
...

Before the update this hand would have been imported as on 15:52:57 as desired.
After the update it gets imported as on 9:52:57.

my windows clock is on CET and i have not adjusted the site import times.

May be i should just add 6 hours to the site import time?
But it had been working without it before the update and im not sure that the change was intentional.
