I have HEM 1.09 beta 35. Today, auto-importing uploaded some, but not all of my hands. It was pretty clear it didn't since I tried to review my big hands, but apparently, it wasn't there.

I have my files archived, and when i looked at the text document, the hands were there for import. I tried to manually import from folder + import file(s), but that didn't work. I tried copy & pasting the folder to another folder for import, but that didn't work. These methods imported the hands, but it caused all of them to be duplicated. Finally, I cleared my filters, but that didn't work either.

Please help!

Copying the archives to a new folder usually works.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=146
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=173
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, and export/import the hands from the old DB, and then delete the old DB. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=21

If that doesnt work Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread, and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.net

Fozzybump!

Is there a way of finding out the ratio between winning days : losing days?

I can open all of my played days in the sessions tab, but since there are like hundreds of days counting them by hand is a HUGE pain.

Any recommendations for Bodog Hand Grabbers appreciated. My search here brought up every instance of the word Bodog and I spent the last 30 minutes in circles.

I just downloaded the 15 day trial for HEM. The HUD starts up just fine, but after about 5 or 6 hands the HUD stats stop refreshing.

Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

I am not sure, so I have forwarded this post to the developer for a reply.

I am yet to download either of the software, and i am going to give them a trial first, as it would be silly not too. What i want to know is whether or not you can download a trial version for both, so 15 days worth of Omaha Manager and 15 days worth of Hold em Manager, or is it just one or the other.

Also is the trial version restricted in anyway, or are all features available like they would be in the full version??

They are all one program integrated seamlessly. The only limitation of the trial is the 15 day time limit.

If you have Vista, please verify that UAC is still off. - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73. If it is on, please turn it off and reboot.

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. You must also add exceptions to the Windows firewall, even if it is off. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171

* Install the complete setup of HM: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/holdemmanager.zip
* Download the latest patch HM: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

* Install PostgreSQL 8.4, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall - http://www.enterprisedb.com/products...oad.do#windows

Start Holdem Manager and connect/create a new UTF DB.

Alright I have another problem for you fozzy. While playing PLO cash HEM is importing fine, the HUD is showing up, and in the reports it shows all my hands and my money made, but the EV is completely screwed my money won says 380 and ev says 6400, so a bit off lol.

Also, my graph will no longer update, its just stuck on the same graph no matter what I change and refresh.

I downloaded beta 35 this morning, EV had been screwed up prior, graph just started today.

This is possible database corruption.

What do you need help with specifically? Install and setup? Technical problems with HM? Or do you just need an overview of HM basics?

Please view the FAQs and Newb Guide before posting questions.
For every problem it's always a good idea to try the latest Beta first: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe

If I'm going to export/create new/import, should I go ahead and just export, uninstall HEM, reinstall it from the base, then import back in and hope it can fix my HUD showing on 1/2-3/4 tables problem too? If so is there a specific order I should d/l and install? Like do I need to install a base version then the new beta?

If you want to do it all follow these instructions. If you need help with any of this send me an email.

Before you uninstall HM:

I want to re-install Holdem Manger without losing all of my settings and preferences. Can this be done? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=98

You want to make sure you backup your Processed/Archived hand histories, your entire \config folder, and your exportednotes file. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=119. I usually just copy my entire \Holdem Manager directory.

I would also make sure you manually export the database to hand history text files:

HM > Options > Database Management > Connect > Export Hands

How do I export or import hands into and from Holdem Manager? - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=173

Make sure you copy that folder as well as the other stuff I mentioned.

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files mentioned earlier.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, choose the Select All > Delete buttons to remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/holdemmanager.zip
6) Download the latest patch HM: http://rvgsoftware.fileburst.com/HmBetaUpdate.exe
7) Test if it for a while and see if it work
8) Close down Holdem Manager and rename the current, working \config folder to \config_original. Now copy your \config folder from step 1 and paste it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\ fodler, to replace the one you just renamed.
9) Test if it works again for a while
10) If your old config folder causes problems, you can paste the contents of the \config_original folder back in.
11) Now you can import any notes and hud configs.

For uninstalling SQL please follow these steps:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) manually delete or rename the Program Files\Postgresql folders
3) run the command - start > run > cmd >
net user postgres /delete
4) reboot.
5) Install PostgreSQL 8.4, with your firewall uninstalled or turned off if windows firewall - http://www.enterprisedb.com/products...oad.do#windows

I have a suggestion and please forgive me if it's already somewhere in the previous thousand pages of this thread.

When opening up the take-a-note box it would be totally outstandingly awesome if HEM could plug in the date and the stakes automatically.

No, this is not currently an available feature.

Suggestion:

Create a master filter so that when you hit "clear filter" it goes back to your master settings. for example, if you always want to see nl200, then you can save time by just clearing filter instead of manually clearly to avoid having to with for all non nl200 hands to load then filter again...

does that make sense?

Suggestions don't go on the HM forums. They go on uservoice where the developers and management go to get ideas for new features/improvements.

Alright, I went into its actual folder and uninstalled it from there, I went back and installed 1.08.04. That installed smoothly, but now I can't update to the new beta, I downloaded it, and installed and it said it worked and unpacked everything, but HEM is still the old version, do I have to do something more?
