Hi so with both sites I play on (Ign/WPN), the HUD shows up fine on table startup. However, when a player leaves and a new one joins, the HUD does not show up for the new player.

Any ideas?

- Close your poker clients, close HM3 and right-click - 'Exit' the HM3 Server icon in the Windows Notification Tray.
- Please update to our latest beta version of HM3 from this link.
- Restart HM3 and make sure HM3 and the HM3 Server (Auto Import/HUD) is fully started.
- Launch your poker client(s).

If you continue to have problems: Please see our HUD Troubleshooting FAQ and reproduce the issue then send the requested logs, screenshots, and hand history files in a support ticket as instructed at the bottom of that FAQ with a link to this forum thread and your forum username.

i was looking up my standard deviation and i noticed something weird

when i refresh the report all the stats stay the same except the standard deviation
it changes every time over the exact same sample, ranging from a st.dev of 91 to 101

how come this stat changes each time even though its about the exact same hands?

(this wasnt during play or import or anything like that, just last 100k hands and every refresh gave a different number)

Any idea why HEM3 wouldn't start to record a session right as you start?

I noticed my results being off, and I noticed that my first hand where I gained 100bbs wasn't logged.

The session started with a random hand where I -/+ a few bbs.

Anyway to get those hands back and added to my session?

Is it true that if I have HM3 on a desktop and laptop that there is no way to synch these two databases aside from manually dumping one onto the other occasionally?

I assume you are referring to HM2 since HM3 does not have a Std Dev stat. Unfortunately HM2 support ended on Dec 31, 2020.

If the 'Start Auto Import' / 'Start HUD' option is enabled it should record all the hands you play.

Please try all the steps in this FAQ. If you continue to have problems please zip and email the problem original hand histories and tournament summaries to us as instructed. Make sure you also include screenshots of your reports/filters and a detailed description by tournament number, session, hole cards, filter, stat, etc. of some of the errors we need to test.

Unfortunately that is correct. The only way to sync them currently is manually. You would need to keep your \HM3Archive folder on both machines sync'd via dropbox (or similar cloud hosting service), and manually import recent hands to each computer like we suggest for HM2.

You can use the Tools - Backup/Restore Database menu option for the initial transfer of the database but after that you will have to manually import hands to keep them in sync.

Please do not create your HM3 Database in a sub-folder of the \Program Files (x86)\Holdem Manager 3\ installation folder, or any cloud file hosting service (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, etc) as it can cause database corruptions because it will constantly be syncing the database to the cloud while you are playing/importing. You can configure HM3 to archive any auto imported hand history files to a cloud file hosting service folder if you choose to as that will not affect the SQLite database in any way, and you can obviously store any HM3 database backup files you create in a cloud folder instead of the default path HM3 suggests when backing up databases.

why doesnt hem3 have a stat for standard deviation?.. its quite essential to calculate variance

I can't answer that as I am not a developer but this feature request has been documented in detail and provided to the developers for future consideration. If you want to be notified if/when it is added please send an email via the 'Contact Support' link and include "Notify Me When HMT-3184 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

HUD - HUD Editor - Select the profile you want to edit then select the 'Group' you want to modify to behave this way - Display = 'Lower Opacity Until Mouse Over' - 'OK' as shown in this image:



The amount of opacity is controlled in the HUD Options - Advanced menu:

If you are still on 3.1.16.0 then it is most likely an error in the graph and the reports are the correct value.

I just want to say that the price for the HM3 renewal is completely absurd. The software is bad compared to HM2, full of bugs. $48 is an absolute joke.

Try them for free or cheap; you will see their stats are inferior to incorrect.

To balance the scale, just wanted to pop up and state that I belive the pricing both 1st time and renewal to be just fine.
HM3 is a big project, and a lot of work went and goes into it, whoever not willing to spend like $8/m in it to improve his game (probably less $ than a beer and a burguer night) then you're just blind. yeh, I said it.

The problem is that the software is super buggy. In my opinion 90% of it runs way worse than HM2. Being it for studying your game or HUD related in game is just a worse product. HM2 even had useful features that HM3 has not like pops up on hover instead of clicking just to give a random example which is something people are asking for a couple of years since the beta testing.

I don't have any problem paying annual renewal for good software but HM3 is simply not good.

All you should need to do is install the new beta version 3.1.16.7105 that we released 3 days ago. You will receive a prompt to update HM3 any time there is an update available as long as you have enabled the Tools - Settings - General - [x] 'Check for Updates' and [x] 'Prompt for beta updates' options. You can check for new updates via the HM3 - Help - 'Check for updates...' option. You can also check for updates and release notes in our HM3 Releases forum or in our Release Notes FAQ.
