Any idea why? It has been a while since I really played with my hud, so any help on recommended settings would be appreciated.
That is the default behavior since most customers use preferred seating (which I recommend*). If you aren't/can't use preferred seating you need to toggle on independent mode before adjusting the HUD on a table.

Try clicking the Gear Icon in the Table HUD and toggle the Preferred Seating option to [x] Independent Mode then use the left/right arrows on the table.

*If your site has preferred seating options you can try using those by setting the option in your poker client then matching that in the HM2 > Options > Site Settings menu.

1) Export any custom HUD configs.
2) Open the HM2 > HUD Settings > HUD Designer menu > Click 'Reset' > [x] Panel Positions > OK

Please check this FAQ if you play at pokerstars - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...For+PokerStars

1) Open one Table, play at least one hand.
2) Move the stats with the Arrow Buttons (< >) on the Table Averages HUD to rotate your HUD where it belongs.
3) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats to be moved to the correct positions.

I will send logs but if I understand it correctly this problem is not caused by HM2? But win10 and postgre.
I am thinking maybe it would better to just reinstall my windows and put back Win7 as I not really want to have this problem after every windows update.

I had this same problem before couple times but did not make connection with windows update. I thought it was windows firewall. Every time I just turned off windows firewall through services.msc and was able to start HM2. This time it`s not helping tho.
I never did reset winsock which chasepoker mentioned. How can I do that?

Would be great if it would possible to somehow fix this and stay on win10.

Thanks.

Installed HM3, restarted PC before starting it. Opened services.msc and saw postgresql status: running.
Tried to open HM2 and it is working now.
No idea what was happening and how I fixed it...

Yes, it is a Win10/PSQL issue and would affect you regardless of what programs you have installed using PSQL (i.e. PT4/DH users have this issue as well).

Restarting the PC can often solve the issues with services not starting like you experienced. If you need to know how to reset your winsock in the future here are the instructions:

Please see this section of the Windows FAQ and reset your Winsock Adapter.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

I guess it was a temp fix, today its back to not working.

load up HM2 and it shows no hands until I play a hand, then all my previous hands show in HM and HUD shows correct only for 1 hand and then every player starts from zero hands the next hand as if I have no hands on them.

Which AV did you switch from/to? Many popular AV can cause issues with HM2 and PSQL.

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

Mcafee to Frontier Secure.
Did the same thing on my laptop and I am not seeing any issues using HM2 there tho.

I created new database and imported the entire hm2archive.
It got about 2/3 done and it just skipped to the end and no hands showed up.

I had HM Sync working to update after every close. Can I bring everything back from there? It won't sync my empty database with it and erase what i had in sync right?

Both of these can cause issues and they could certainly affect one machine differently than another that both use the same OS.

It sounds like your AV is causing issues with your (old and new) postgresql databases. It may have caused issues with your postgresql installation that could affect all/every database. If this is the case the only way to fix the PostgreSQL installation would be to uninstall that AV, reboot, reinstall PSQL then install Windows Defender (or Security Essentials if using older OS) to prevent this from happening to new databases.*

This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup. Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step.

You can try HM Sync. It will only update new hands, not delete any hands, but we actually do not recommend using HM Sync as it was an alpha feature when HM2 was released and we quickly discovered issues with it not tracking tourney results from some sites. It would have been too time consuming to fix and as a result has not been updated since HM2 was released in 2011.

There are a variety of known issues with the HM Sync Beta feature where the results (generally tournament) are not syncing properly for some customers. We recommend you manually sync your hands on both PCs. We recommend you manually sync your hands on both PCs. Here is a FAQ explaining how to best keep your original hands on both computers so you can easily sync the hands manually.

*If you want a second opinion about the database issues before deciding to reinstall postgresql, or need detailed instructions on how to do it please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing and a link to this forum thread with your forum name.

Very true.

Hi Fozzy, suddenly today every time I start HM2 up it says "Pokerstars isn't saving hands to your HD". It's asks do I want this fixing and I have tried saying yes twice but the error message still pops up on every start up.

I also don't think that the problem actually occurs either as the stars hands are still importing as normal its just the pop up on every start up?

Thanks

Please see this FAQ to alleviate any security bottlenecks and give HoldemManager and your site(s) Administrator rights.

If you continue to have problems:

Make sure you are saving your hand history files and that HM2 is auto importing those hands - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...er+Stars+Setup

If you have more than one PokerStars client installed you need to make sure they are all configured to save the hand history files to the same folder. If you have some clients installed you don't use any more you should uninstall them and delete the associated C:\UserName\AppData\Local\PokerStars.xx folders.

If you continue to have problems: Try creating a new folder on your computer such as C:\StarsHands and C:\StarsTourneys then setup PokerStars to save the hands/results here in their Options > Instant Hand History menu and setup HM2 to Auto Import from here in the Options > Site Setup menu.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

I've "automatically refresh" selected, but it's quite useless as poker table steals focus from HEM2 and it seems to stop working refreshing afterwards. It's more logical if it auto refresh after each hand is imported to database.

We had to change how it works for performance reasons. It used to work the way you suggest but it caused performance problems for a number of customers. There are no plans to bring back the old behavior as a result.

To see that stat you have to open the Tournament Summary popout window by clicking the trophy icon. To see the avg duration for a particular type/row in that report you would have to use the various More Filters > Tournament filter options to filter for just one row then open the Tournament Summary popout again.

Tourney Results/EV are not deemed critical bugs since it doesn't affect you while playing and the results can be edited manually. Most of the sites we support do not write summaries and players on those sites have to edit all their results manually.

Have you tested these games in HM3 Alpha yet to see if it handles them better? I expect it will as it uses a different parsing and tourney detection system. Please follow the instructions in the HM2 Home tab advisory to request access to HM3 if you haven't yet, and if you still have issues with the results/EV use the Send Feedback button to let us know.

so it is almost 2017 soon i guess 3 years ago you we`re working on HM3 also it is interesting that when you win $EV is calculated correct and when you loose it isn`t .it is after all one variable (prize pool) .
to not make it work in all this time can only meen that you didn`t want to.

PS in HM3 i cannot find this EV graph... at least not yet.

My mistake, it doesn't appear we have added the Luck Adjusted Winnings line yet to the Tournament Results Graph. I will make a note to make sure this is documented. Any other HM3 questions, problems or feedback needs to be sent using the Send Feedback button for now. We will likely be adding some HM3 forums on our site after we move from Alpha to Beta testing.

It is for Windows only. There are no plans for a MAC version of HM2 or HM3 at this time. If you want to use HM2 on a MAC you will need to use something like Parallels or BootCamp so you can install Windows for playing poker. If you do not want to use Windows to play poker you could consider trying the MAC version of PT4.

You can not use the Active Session tab when playing at Prima/Microgaming skins. Please use the Reports > More Reports > Sessions report instead.

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time.

If you continue to have problems:

Please enable the Settings > Feature Logging > [x] 'HUDStats' and 'FastPoker' option and increase the Max number of log files option to 10 so old logs are saved with date/time stamps. You can also enable this before you launch HM2 from the Start Menu.

Please reproduce the problem and:
- Attach a screen shot of the table/desktop
- Try to include the Active Sessions tab and/or Sessions Report that also includes your windows clock and poker client lobby clock in the screen shot
- Save a copy of the original Hand history for the table with the issue
- Close HM2 and send your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

With all the above information we should be able to narrow down what is causing the issue. If all the information is not included we will need to email you again to request it.
