any fix for randomly not being able to connect to postgres server. sometimes i can go weeks/months without running into an issue, then it happens and it causes nothing but a pita for weeks on end until i end up having to unistall and reisntall and then re-build my db all over again.

plz tell me this issue doesnt exist in hm3

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue and the following guide gives a step by step guide.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

At this point HM3 does not use PostgreSQL but it is too early in the internal alpha development and testing phase to know if that will be the case when it is released.

If you continue to have problems:

That would stop the hands from importing and you couldn't see your reports/results for new hands. You can disable the HUD on a table by table basis in the Active Session tab > Open Tables Detected section in the lower left by unchecking the box in front of each table name.

Just sent e-mail 1 minute ago with all requested files.
Problem again occurred today after table change. I took screenshots and after that just turned HUD off via Active Sessions tab.

Can you give the steps to add R/B to my graph. I've watched the vid and tried it but the results don't seem to be correct. I'm currently silver star, playing 25nl on stars.

I have no idea what percent that would be but you just need to add the percent to your screen name (not alias name) in the Settings > RakeBack and Bonuses menu:



then toggle on the Rakeback option in the Cash Results Graph report:

I've been having problems with HEM2 basically since I first got it. It lags and crashes so frequently that it's basically unusable. I exchanged a dozen messages with HEM support earlier this year and just couldn't figure it out despite trying everything they suggested. Is there any way someone from HEM support could take a look at it for me? Should I just email support again and take it from there? Thanks.

You have to go thru the support ticket email process before we can consider authorizing a remote support session.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing.

How big is your database? HM2 lags like crazy with bigger db's, "big" depends on your machine. Try make a fresh db with only your last few weeks hands and see if you still have issues.

This is one of the things we will suggest, after trying some other things first, once we see your logs but I didn't want to post that wall of text in this thread without first seeing the log files to make sure it's not just a simple configuration error causing the problems.

Table Scanner only works at PokerStars right now with the InstaScan setting and it will not join tables automatically. It is undergoing a major overhaul to get it working properly at PokerStars, then the developers will work on fixing the issues at other formerly supported sites so it can be put back into the store for purchase. Once it gets back in the store we will work on adding support for new sites. I do not have an estimate for when this issue will be resolved. We do not give estimates until it has been confirmed as fixed by our internal testers and the release is imminent.

I never use(d) that feature (or NC in general) so you will want to ask in the NC Support Thread. It may also be explained in the NC New Users Sticky on our forum.

I think I've got about a million hands on there, on a pretty new set up. Are million+ hand databases just not going to work on HEM2? I've gotta say I've been disappointed with this software from the very beginning.

Multi-million hand databases can be run fine with HM2 if your machine's specs are above our recommended specs for optimal performance, but may require some additional tuning to postgresql and some hm2 config files. We need to get the log files to start with as I requested then we will have questions about additional system specs that the logs don't contain when we send you some additional suggestions and instructions for tuning your database and hm2 settings. Please send the log files to start as instructed above.

There is something weird going on. I backed up my old database from my old computer and now restored it.Everything seemed fine, but when I started playing zoom today literally there were no sample size shown in the HUD on the tables. So for example I am having a player who I have around 8k hands on and on the zoom table it got displayed 7 hands.In the search field where you write a player name, it says the right hand amount but data is not being shown also in the reports tab, why is it?

(checked hud settings/filters) everything is set like it should be.seems like a corrupt db?only my own hands are being displayed correctly.

Is there a recommended free anti-virus that plays nice with postgre? I had to uninstall Avast as it wasn't allowing the service to start even when utilizing exclusions.

It sounds like the db is corrupted. Either it didn't backup properly, didn't restore properly or was corrupted somehow after it was restored.

Please try to vacuum/analyze and reindex your database.

If you continue to have problems, try the following:

Try creating a new DataBase and import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB.

If the new database seems to work properly, it sounds like your database might be corrupt. Please continue to use the new database and import the rest of your hands using the steps above. This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created) and edit any tournament results if necessary. I recommend keeping at least the most recent 2 or 3 backups in case the most recent one does not restore properly you can try the previous backup.

Here is a FAQ explaining how to backup your database and all settings in one easy step.

If none of that helps please zip and email the problem hand histories (or database backup), with a link to this thread and your forum name, to us using the 'Contact Support' link.

When sending any files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is larger than 10MB please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, then right-click > 'copy public link' and paste the download link directly into the support ticket email.

Hi - I'm new to HM2 (I just downloaded the trial version on 6th July 2016). I have some questions today:

1) How long does the trial version last ? (the download page didn't seem to say) Eg do I lose all functionality, or just some features etc. ?

2) In my tournament results, when I've cashed in a Pokerstars progressive knockout (i.e. with bounties), it only seems to count the bounties I won as cashes, and not the 'actual' cashes. Hence my ROI says -44%, even though I'm a winning player at them. Is this a bug ?

30 days then it stops working. If you buy a license and activate the software after the trial ends all your data will still be in the database and it should pick up any hands played between when the trial ended and when you activated your license.

There are known issues with the results/detection in progressive knockouts. For now you will need to use the Tournament Editor to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

Hi, I had no luck on the HEM forum neither in the NC thread so I'll try here:

Got a new computer and need to export / Import the badges I manually added on people (NC.playerTags).
BackUp / Restore will take care of everything except those.
I just need to know where those are stocked so I can Copy/Paste the file on my new computer.
Just to be clear, I don't just need the badges themselves, I have those !
I need the one i set to different players on my old computer to appear on my new computer.
