I will soon be releasing version 1 of a new piece of functionality that could be the most powerful feature in HM and something that I envisioned being a key component right from the initial design phases. Might take a couple more days to get it out but it will impact your game in a very positive way.

How's that for a tease

I never used PAHUD, but I stopped using PT2 about 2 months ago, when I had to reformat my PC. I havent bothered to get a new key and reinstall it. HM does all I need and more. As long as you save/archive your HH's, you should never have to worry.

I archive all my Processed HM HH files, and I actually export/archive my HM HH's every week or 2, and back those up to a Thumb Drive, as well as my web host. Filtered HH exporting will make this faster for me to archive/upload when that is added. Hint: Roy

It seems that I can run auto - import if I switch off my User Account Control (I have Vista), as this is what I had to do to install PostgreSQL, and I ran the first import directly after.

After switching UAC back on, nothing appears to be happening when I clcik auto import.
The HUD also didn't appear and the table manager couldn't find the table I was on at Stars.

I posted in the Computer Technical Help Forum and was told that leaving the UAC off is BAD, so how do get round this?

Well, you will here both sides, UAC is more for the people who dont know not to open email attachments and stuff, but I'm sure a few times it can protect even the most competent of users. Personally, its a risk Im willing to take leaving it off, since it causes too many problems/ more of a hassle to get around. If you do want to leave it on though, then you just have to run holdem manager as administrator. Right click, properties, compatability, run as admin. It should solve some problems then.

you can get good 3rd party anti-virus/spyware protection that makes having UAC off a non-issue i think.

so I set up the auto import, hands are going into the handhistory folder, the hud works fine, table manager shows the tables fine but I have no hands or info in HM. I try and import the files manually from the file and 0 files are found, I try and import from archives file and it imports, on the 'players' tab it has (81) so it reads them, but no stats in HM. Any ideas?

This is usually a permissions errors. Right click both hmhud.exe and then holdemmanager.exe and click on Properties and make sure they both run as administrator.

Thanks for the response. I run it on windows XP, I presume running things on vista is where you need to run as admin. There doesn't seem to be the option to do this on XP. ( I researched this thread and have already tried this). Any other ideas? Thanks.

Great software! Two quick questions:

1) I'm not sure my observed hands are importing. I have Start Auto Import running and under the Import Progress bar it say Auto update did not find any new files... Trying again in 5 seconds... It says this, as well, when I'm actually sitting at tables. Is something wrong? I'm pretty sure I have my FTP Auto Import folder set correctly.

2) My BB/100 Hands seems to vary drastically from Hold Em Manager to Poker Tracker. In HEM, it shows me winning at a much higher BB/100 rate than in Poker Tracker. Are they calculated differently or what is going on here?

THeres a BB/100, and a bb/100, the first is Big Bets, which is actually 2 big blinds, the 2nd is big blinds, which is, obviously, 1 big blind. Not sure what pokertracker uses, I think its big bets, but HM has options in the reports tab for both.

As far as your first question, I dont know much about FTP, but I know for stars it doesn't import observed hands.

Thanks for your response RedBarracuda, unfortunately there are no player names, it only shows the number in brackets after the word 'players' at the top. As in

Import Cash Games Tourneys Players (103)

but there are no hands in there. When I play a session autoimport doesn't work but the stats etc do. I can then import the files from the archives folder, which it does successfully, but then there are no hands or player names anywhere. I thought it might be the firewall but I turned that off for 15mins and it still didn't work and Norton went mad at me. I also thought it may be a database problem with postgres, but I only have one database and that is obv the default. I had no hands to import from PT or whatever because this is my first poker tracking software, so I'm sorry if I'm just being stupid but I can't get it to work.

Cash Games Tab, not the Players Tab

Cash Games > Reports > Player > Change

You have to select which player you are running reports against - i.e. - tell HM who you are. When all else fails try reading the instructions, IMO.

just got this on one of my tables last night. session previous to this one, some of my bottom players were never updating (seat 5 in FR pokerstars). i tried everything from stopping imports, moving HH files somewhere else, restarting imports, etc, but it would always have the wrong player in seat 5. i did NOT restart HM manager though, just the HUD

Still getting used to how this thing works as I only got it working yesterday.

I just played a short session on stars, 2 NL100 tables, and 2 NL50 tables.

When I go to the 'Sessions' tab, it's grouped my stats together in a single row. Is there anyway of breaking it dwon so that I get one row for the NL100 and another for the NL50?

i'm trying to edit the popup hud config so bb/100 and $ won don't show anymore (so i don't constantly check how much i'm up/down) but it just won't save?

i delete $ amount bb/100 etc in the window, press safe, but nothing happens in the hud? :s

You can change the 'Group By' drop down to show the session by individual tables. You can also go to the Reports Tab, and sort by Stakes, etc.

I dont want to define it wrong, so I will just show you my AF Color Ranges to give you an idea. I believe I know how its defined, loosely, but I would rather let RVG answer it properly.

Pretty sure that it is the % of time villain bets or raises. Aggression factor is (bets+raises)/calls. So the main difference is that checks lower aggression frequency but not aggression factor. Someone tell me if I'm wrong here.

Where is this option? The 'group by' drop down list in the Sessions tab only gives the option to group by Session, Day or Month.
