i'm looking at purchasing HEM or PT but i remember some years ago these programs couldn't track players that had obscure letters / symbols in their names. is this still the case with HEM and PT ... or has this issue been resolved?

thanks

No need to use the PST at this point. That is usually the first step for new customers that have never got the tracker/HUD working. If the HUD was working and stopped working or is working on reg tables but not zoom tables then all we need is the HUD Error Report and pics/log files I asked for above.

I believe all of these issues were resolved some time ago. The only similar issue that some times popped up still from time to time were one or two customers that had these odd characters in their own names were having problems with the HUD positioning but I don't recall seeing those threads bumped on our forums recently either.

If you previously used your HM2 trial and want a 30 day trial extension so you can give it a thorough test before you decide if you want to purchase please email your account details to sales@holdemmanager.com and explain why you want another 30 day trial and they can issue you one. If you do purchase you also get a 30 day no questions asked refund period so you can use the software 60 days total risk free.

How do I filter stats in HM2 reports so that I can see how many times villains fold in general when facing Hero's PF raise?

- Please close HM2 and Poker Stars.
- Go to C:\Program Files\PokerStars (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)
- Right click the PokerStars.exe and choose “Properties”.
- Go to the Compatibility Tab and select “Run this program as an Administrator”. If this option is greyed out it is because the UAC is disabled and you are already running as admin so there is no need to change anything.
- Please repeat steps 1-3 for PokerStarsUpdate.exe, holdemmanager.exe, hudfuncsapp.exe and all of the easyhook, blitz.dll files and the stars/stars inject files in C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version) although holdemmanager.exe should already be set to run as admin by default.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...7B47%7D7+%26+8

Note, if you are running Windows 8 compatibility tab is most likely not available for PokerStarsUpdate.exe so alternate steps are: right-click, "Troubleshoot compatibility", click "Troubleshoot program", choose 3rd option "The program requires additional permissions, click next, click "Test program" (PokerStars should run), click next, click "Yes, save these settings for this program".
Try changing the pokerstars hh options to save hands to a new folder such as C:\starshands then edit the HM2 site setup > pokerstars > auto import folders options to match. Their client sometimes has problems writing hands to their default folder.

Doing this helped me fix it. thanks alot.

One way would be:

filter for PFR in hands where you face unopened pot or limpers (basic filters - position and action), and make note of number of hands (value a)

then add filter for saw flop = false, and faced 3 bet = false and you'll get number of hands where you didn't see flop (value b)

then b/a = pct of hands where everyone folded to your raise

we also have stats for steals: PF/CO/BTN/SB steal success which show you how often players fold to your steals from these positions

The other way would be to create a alias of all your villains to use in the reports and filter from their point of view. If you want to create an alias with a lot of villains you can do it via PGAdmin or RangeMeister as explained in this thread but please be aware that it can be very resource intensive to link all villains to an alias so you should have a powerful computer with lots of ram if attempting this.

Yes, you can manually transfer the hands/settings if necessary:
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

This will not backup things like player/hand notes, hand markings, etc. For that you need to be able to use the backup process and for that you need more free space on your drive than your database is big.

If the backup is not working it is most likely because you do not have enough free space for the backup process in your TEMP directory. See this recent thread on our forums from someone with similar problems for an explanation and possible solution.

Thank you for letting us know what solved your problems. It helps us when crafting future replies to other customers with similar problems.

To get the Zoom HUD to work in PS7 you must use the Nova theme instead of their new default table theme.

Good luck at the tables. If you have any questions or problems do not hesitate to ask us.

FYI, I tried zoom on PS6 and it works for me, as well, but I hope PS7 zoom will work again, as I much prefer it.

I was using the Black theme on PS7 and it worked before. I tried the Nova theme after reading your above message, but that didn't work either.

We have been working with stars to support PS7 for quite some time but there is only so much we can do to support a beta version of their client. Any changes they make stand a good chance of breaking the support we have currently for the beta client so we are waiting until it gets closer to release before we begin making changes in our code to support the new client that could cause problems for our support in the current client.

That being said: One of our testers tried PS7 with Nova theme earlier today when I posted and he said the Zoom HUD worked fine. After you posted the quote above he tried to start the PS7 client to test again and was prompted to update and it reverted him to PS6.

You can download and start from scratch. I was just explaining how to get your settings and old hand histories over to the new computer if you want them.

What problems are you having? Hands are not importing and/or HUD is not working? What site are you playing on? I will assume it is stars since they are the most popular network:

*Note that we do not support play money hands so you must test/play real money hands when using HM2 - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ay+Money+Hands

Make sure that poker client is saving hands and HM2 is auto importing them - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...+PC+Specs#Site Setup Info

Make sure the poker client and hand histories are both in English. If it is not, you need to change it in the Lobby Options or reinstall the software and choose English.

Make sure that the Site Time Adjustment is properly configured such that the Time Stamp in the Reports for the hand matches your local windows clock time - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ime+Adjustment

If you continue to have problems please try our Priority Support Tool - http://www.holdemmanager.com/store/priority-support/ - for the 'HUD is not working' topic.

few days ago my session report tab disappeared.. I tried searching it in 'More reports' as it was always there but it doesn't exist anymore or I am blind lol
I also made an beta update with no luck getting it back

Is that a bug or something changed, and can I get that report page back as I like to review my sessions , and now I either have to use active session tab or sessions per day which doesn't really work for me as I play numerous sessions per day

The latest update for the PS v7 Beta Client has broke the Zoom HUD.

The Zoom HUD used to work on the Nova theme in the beta PS v7 client but their most recent update broke the HUD. If you want to use the HM2 HUD on Zoom tables you will need to use the official v6 of their poker client.

No. We added support for ACR/WPN after the launch of HM2 so support was not added to HM1. We stopped selling HM1 licenses and adding new features/networks when HM2 was released in November of 2011. We stopped updating for critical bugs and providing support for HM1 at the end of April 2014 - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/661/HM1+End+of+Life+(EOL)+Common+Questions

If you want to use our tracker/HUD on Winning Poker Network skins you will need to upgrade to HM2.

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone can help me with the installation of HM2. When I open the installer I get the error message: "Could not write to C:/. Please open permissions on that directory and run this installer again"

I believe I'm getting this error msg because my hard drive is H drive, not C drive. Anyone know how to get around this? (using winxp if thats any help)

thanks in advance

You don't have any C drive at all? Our HM2 combo installer will install PSQL to the C drive and does not give you an option to pick a different drive.

Please see this FAQ to alleviate any security bottlenecks - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...olders+HM2+use

Then download postgresql 9.0.x from postgresql.org and install it before you try installing HM2 again.

I do have a C:/, however it is a "Removeable Disk" drive... no idea why.

Ok I will try this in morning and post feedback.

Thanks for the quick response
