Try a new database.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

If there is still an issue, Please zip and email the original hand history and tournament summaries (for Stars, FTP, and Pacific) files from c:/hmarchive and/or c:\hm2archive to support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this post.

On that note, is there any known issues with notecaddy and ipoker speed?

Another question:
Is there a way to get HMSync to also sync hand notes (I prefer to make notes on my laptop but play mainly on my PC).

If not, is the only other way to just export database with hand notes only, then import into my main PC?
Will this add these new notes to the existing notes on the database, or overwrite them all?
ie. I make 10 notes on my PC1, and backup/restore to PC2 which has 100 notes. Will PC2 now have 110 notes or will they all be overwritten and only have 10 notes?

Little confusing hope you understand.

Hey Fozzy,
Not sure if you have answered this or not, but Ive been playing Speed Poker on the Ipoker network and I use HEM2. At the end of my sessions my HEM numbers never match up to what my account balance says I should be at. HEM usually tells me I won more money than what my account shows. Do you have any idea what the problem might be?
Thanks in advance

Is not the EV line the reason most people get HM in the first place? I would never get HEM if I wasnt pretty sure the EV line was very accurate. How accurate is it btw? (HM2).

Not that I am aware of but I don't follow the NC forum as much as I probably should. You may want to give a quick look or search thru the NC sub-forum on our site - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/notecaddy/

Unfortunately there is no good way to do what you want at this time. HM Sync doesn't currently sync notes and the backup/restore of notes will over-write the notes instead of append them. We have requests in the system to try and fix both of these issues (allow sync to sync notes in addition to hands, and for the notes restore to append instead of over-write) but these tickets have been put on the back-burner due to the recent performance issues and various HUD/Results issues that sprang up on various sites over the past few months.

HM-1309: Requested ability to Sync Notes

HM-2668: Feature: add Caddy notes to Sync

HM-5083: HM2 Player Notes Backup/Restore overwrites existing notes instead of combining them like HM1

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email to support@holdemmanager.com and include "Notify Me When HM-1309, HM-2668, and HM-5083 are Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

The more people we can get to add their emails to these tickets the easier it will be to show the developers these are critical issues that customers need resolved.

HM1 - Please update to the latest version - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...uncements.html

HM2 - Please update to the latest build via HM2 > Settings > Check For Updates

If you have any problems auto-updating, use this link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

Make sure that stars is set to run as admin. Apparently the latest pokerstars update disabled the run as admin privileges for some/all customers and this can cause the Zoom HUD to stop working.

If you have UAC turned on you must set stars to run as admin otherwise the zoom hud will not work. If you have UAC off you dont need to configure anything, everything should work fine out of the box.

To do this please close HM2 and Poker Stars.
1) Go to C:\Program Files\PokerStars (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)

2) Right click the PokerStars.exe and choose “Properties”.

3) Go to the Compatibility Tab and select “Run this program as an Administrator”.
If this option is greyed out it is because the UAC is disabled and you basically running as admin so no need to change anything.

4) Please repeat steps 1-3 for PokerStarsUpdate.exe and also for holdemmanager.exe in C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version) although holdemmanager.exe should be already set to run as admin by default.

One of our support techs posted a workaround/fix for this issue. It seems to be caused by a problem in the ipoker clients where it doesn't write all of the hands to your disk while playing.

Possibly this is caused by very fast table closing, possibly because of other things - no idea.
But here is a workaround: client has a feature to rewrite HH files.
1) After session ended and table closed, wait some time (5 minutes is enough to finish all hands where you did fast Fold)
Then in Ipoker lobby press My Account menu item

2) In window opened select "Cash table history" in list

3) Set period, table name and all other desired parameters to filter sessions, then click on session you want to update

4) In a new window opened press "Update local information" button - file will be written in poker client HH folder.
(or owerwritten - if file was not autoarchived by HM yet)

5) Run HM and start autoimport (if is not started automatically) - HM will ignore dublicates and update database with missed hands

I do not think that the EV line is the reason most people buy the software. I personally don't think it is even in the top 5 reasons. Most people buy the software for the HUD, tracking their actual results (not their expected results), reviewing their hands, filtering their hands, etc. How accurate it is currently probably depends on which site and which games you are playing. I can't give any sort of quantitative reply in terms of a percentage of accuracy at this time.

There are some bugs in the EV calculation in both HM1 and HM2 currently depending on which site/games you are playing. Part of the holdup on the HM1 EV issues is related to the fact that we use a lookup table for EV which isn’t as accurate as full enumeration. Full enumeration seems to hurt import speeds pretty significantly, so were looking into a couple of options. We are considering a more accurate lookup table but this is a lot of work due to the combinations involved and it will be a while before the developers can implement it. Another option is giving the user the option of full enumeration or lookup tables but changing this would require a reimport and choosing the full enumeration, while it would be the most accurate, could slow import speeds significantly which would affect HM1 and HM2 both. Before we can implement this we first want to explore how accurate the new lookup table is.

I have a problem with the duration of the sng tours at 888. Everything elese seems to be fine but in the tournament stats tab the duration for all the tours is 0:00:00 and it can't calculate winnings/hour. Any thoughts?

I checked the hand histories txt and i see that the time is fine there.

This sounds like this issue:

HM-5949
Start Time & End Time have the same values for tourneys in reports

This issue should be resolved in our next release (it is already fixed in our internal beta branch build) which we hope to have released by Christmas if all goes well.

You are talking about HM1 Zoom Support?
HM2 should work in 7660.

For HM1 we have a temporary workaround: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/mana...orary-fix.html

Or you can replace the file blitz.dll in the HM1 program folder (c:\program files\rvg software\holdemmanager\blitz.dll with this version: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/13215305/Blitz.dll
Please close HM1 and Stars before replacing the file.

Already imported data will not be touched.
You need to reimport the files or import them to a new database.

Hi there! HM noob here,

I play on stars/stars.fr and my girl plays from same computer on stars so basically i have 3 account HH on my db. each time HM imports HH from stars folders to HM archieves folder and puts on the same folder for all three account and doesn't leave anything on stars HH folder.

Problem is someone asked me my stars HH for cash game only, i could i seprate it from Main DB or is there something i should do so HM keeps them separate

There is no easy way to separate the original files that have already been archived. You would need to go thru the archives and open the files to check for hero names and then manually organize them.

Going forward you could create your own archive for each site/hero in the Hand Importing > Auto Import Folders > Select 'Site 1' path > Edit Folder > Archive Folder: [pick a unique path so this hero's hands go to their own unique folder]

To save all the hands for one hero screen name from the database you need to pick that player name in the Reports. I would then suggest you go to the More Reports > DateTime > Sessions by Month report because if you play a lot of hands and try doing the following process for 'all' hands in the Overall report it can be fairly resource intensive.

Select one month (or multiple months with Ctrl+A) from the upper grid > click the [x] All radio button to load all the hands from that/those month(s) into the lower datagrid > left click one hand in the bottom grid > Ctrl+A to highlight all the hands in the lower grid > right-click > Save to hard drive...

Repeat the steps for each month(s) you want to export.

We have an 'Export Hands Played By: [x] Hero Only' option in the Database > Export menu but I think that will export all hero hands regardless of which hero you select in the reports. The last time I tested this it tried exporting all 2mil hero hands in my database instead of just the 15k hands for my hero that I had selected in the reports.

I have written a request so we can get a more refined export option added in the future.

I am not very educated on hardware. I have had good luck with my Intel X25-M Gen2 SSD that I bought over 2 years ago and would have no qualms recommending Intel SSD's.

I would suggest you take a look over the last few pages of this thread for recommendations from PatVS or other users - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/mana...ease-tips.html

PatVS is our resident hardware expert so feel free to ask him for suggestions if you need more advice.

Or check this thread in the NC Forum - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/note...pc-run-nc.html

It is possible that Spybot might be causing this. I would suggest you uninstall it completely (and any other 3rd party security software you can find) and reboot the system to see if it helps.

Many of those free Norton, Mcaffee, Comodo, Zonealarm, AVG, Spybot, etc, 'internet security' bundles will not work well with holdem manager.

Please do the following steps, so we can get your computer to a state that we know will work with Holdem Manager:

1) Uninstall any 3rd party security software bundles.
2) Reboot your computer
3) Enable Windows Firewall's recommended settings through your Control Panel, turn off Windows Defender, and add firewall exceptions for HM and SQL - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29
4) Install Microsoft Security Essentials (it sounds like you already have this installed, so skip this step) for antivirus/malware protection and update it - http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
