I found your email and will try to expedite it for you. I am in the middle of a teamviewer session but once I have finished this I will try to test your files and reply if no one else has answered them yet.

All emails are typically answered within 24 hours and lately we have started a new monitoring system that helps to insure they rarely take longer than 12 hours to get a reply.

Our last official update is for 6866 and it has taken us longer than normal to get a new release out because of the stats changes in our next release and the database update testing we are doing as a result. You can download our latest internal 7053 with all the Merge and Stars Zoom changes from the Home tab > HM Advisory which links to our forum announcement. Here is a direct link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...AutoUpdate.exe

These came out at a bad time for us. We are in the final stages of testing our next release which has some major database changes that will require a database update (and the database update process requires a lot of internal testing) and we can't run the risk of delaying it further by adding support for these new games. Once we get our next HM2 release out these will be near the top of the priority list but I don't have any sort of specific ETA yet.

I just started to play on pokerstars again since the pokerstars.eu update and now i cant import hands.
I've done some googling but it hasn't helped me. I never saved my HH in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\PokerStars\HandHistory \ or where ever, I saved them on my desktop.
If i go to AppData, it's just empty.
I can't find any hands at all atm

Sorry for being such a noob but I'm really bad at this stuff, so I'm very thankful for every help I can get!

PS I use HEM1

You'll need to go to Stars' Options menu.

In the Hand History Folder location, check the location of the folder and make sure that it is in the list of Auto Import Folders in Hand Importing. Do the same with Tournament Summaries.

You may need to manually change the entries.

You might also need to manually import the hands from the folder and move to the archive.

If that does not work, it's because HM had already tried to process and reads them as non-hh or already imported. Please create a new database in database management. Then import the hands. You can export these hands and import into the original database.

show hidden files. see this guide

I replied already, 2.5 hours ago:

Hi,

This appears to be either a corrupt database or a corrupt postgresql installation. I imported the hands without issues (see attached images).

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...09July2012.exe

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database

*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

If you continue to have problems, you should reinstall postgresql completely nut make sure you backup everything manually first:

Export your Hand Histories - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

Export Your Notes - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/notes-02.jpg

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback ' Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...ta-view-01.jpg

Then you can create a new database http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database

Finally reimport all your hands/notes/summaries into the new database. Import your original hands first, before you try importing any of the exported hands:

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Use our combo installer to reinstall PostgreSQL. Make sure you un-check Holdem Manager during installation. http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...09July2012.exe

If that installer fails to install PostgreSQL, please reinstall PostgreSQL using the following instructions:

1) Uninstall PostgreSQL from the Windows Control Panel.
2) Install PostgreSQL 8.3.9 from this link - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...3.9-v1.0.7.exe

This is why regular backups are a good idea. If your database becomes corrupt you can restore a backup and only have to import the most recent hands (that were played after the backup was created).

We have a backup and restore feature within Holdem Manager that makes it easy for you to backup all your settings, hand histories and files. http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...up+%26+Restore

This is a new feature and there are some compatibility issues with it so if you have any problems you can do this manually by following the instructions below:

Manual database backup/restore via pgadmin - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...store+Database

Regards,

fozzy71

ok this is strange again

fozzy - i didnt get ur reply in the thread on the HEM forum, and didnt get it in my mailbox, so clearly something went wrong (again)

udbrky - i dont have a teamviewer setup anywhere so there must be other guys with the problem i guess

fwiw im going to reinstall postgresql
although every month or so (this entire month every day) my hem stars screwing up, and its always 'oh well corrupted database, import everything again' which is ****ing annoying and time-consuming

and i also back up every 2 weeks or so but when i tried to restore it it gave a gazillion errors so that wasnt a option as well, i pretty much tried everything i could these past 5 days and i havent got a single proper working session

ill get back to you in 15 min or so with a new error

is it possible to choose the location to which posgresql should be installed?
i always had it on C with the data folder on F, didnt know how i did it then

i want to install it completely on F, or at least install the data folder on F, but not sure how to do that
the F drive is an external hard drive i use for 2 computers, so i have the same database in 2 cities..

I replied to the 2nd of the 2 emails you sent. Try checking your spam inbox as your hotmail might be filtering our emails there instead of the normal inbox.

It sounds like your postgresql installation is damaged and/or the backups you created were of a corrupt database.

You probably moved the \data folder after it was installed originally to C:\ - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...e+or+Partition

You can install it all on the F:\ drive but if you are sharing the database with 2 different computers/installations I think you need to have postgresql installed to C:\ with the \data folder on F:\.

Did you use our combo installer or a separate postgresql installer from our FAQs or postgresql.org?

I believe you are going to need to uninstall and reinstall it the way you did today but I am fairly sure you need to reinstall the postgresql program on the C:\ drive and the \data folder on the F:\ drive so hopefully that is how you did it today.

The F drive you installed it on today is the same F drive you want to use on the other PC?

Check out this FAQ - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...o+computers%3F

* Note: I just now realized all the images are missing from that FAQ for some reason and we will need to fix/recreate that FAQ.

Here is the postgresql installer you should use that will give you 2 options to pick paths during installation: 1 path for the program and a 2nd path for the \data directory - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloa...-1-windows.exe

I just used this on PC #1, created a new DB and started the import again

but how do i reinstall postgres on PC #2 (where its most likely corrupt as well), i will install the normal part on the c or d drive but and i want the data on the F drive, so that it shares the data..
if i install the data folder in the f drive on the 2nd pc, will that overwrite previous settings of data, and thus corrupt it again or delete data i have?
or can i just install it and than copy my data folder from pc 1 through pc 2..

if you can guide me through the process of how install postgres on the 2nd PC so that the data folder is shared and i can load 1 DB from this Fdrive that will help me alot, and probably will solve my problems for a while

I have never done this personally so I can only link you to a FAQ. You are going to need to follow the directions on the FAQ I linked to previously, which might be a little tricky/annoying now that the images seem to have disappeared from that FAQ - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...o+computers%3F

you can uninstall and reinstall, but usually this is their description of what they detect.

Make sure you backup the configs and reports folders.

Then install the full file.

Could you please investigate a bit deeper in this matter.
I have exactly the same scan results and settings like bleffo19.

Afaik once the system is infected, it is not trustable anymore. So deleting the file and reinstalling is not effective?

Is this definitely only a false positive?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\

there are only 2 more folders called TSDDD and VGASAVE, both have one empty folder in them called DEVICE0

i opened the regedit as administrator as well, same issue
