Hi, I have had flopzilla for a while now, and it just recently quit working. Whenever I click on it to open it, I get the popup that verifys if I'm registered and it says "Starting Flopzilla...the window will close in 5 seconds" Then nothing will ever come up. I've restarted and tried many times, but every time the same thing happens.

Most likely you still have an older version of Flopzilla and there's some sort of conflict. Please go here for the latest version:
http://www.cardrunners-ev-calculator...Flopzilla.html

If that's not the case, it's probably caused by a conflict with your virus scanner. You can try to solve that by setting an exception.

If it still doesn't work out, please mail support.

I've already contacted moneybookers about this, they haven't replied yet.
I think I'll try again.
In the meantime, please try the option Credit Card/iDeal/other.
There's a whole list of payment options there, one of which might suit you.

Cheers,

Scylla

Actually, I just made a test transfer to a random merchant and you can just fill in anything for the name. Moneybookers doesn't appear to test if the name is actually tied to that account.

scylla,

If I have a large tree, where I use the same stored range for many actions, if there a way to just change one card in the range and have it apply where ever I used that range? Please tell me yes

You can define a dynamic multi-condition.
Every time you change the definition of a dynamic multi-condition, it will be automatically updated everywhere in the tree.

To create a new multi-condition:
- define the condition
- right-click the "add condition" field
- select "store" to save the contents of the action as a multi-condition

Then apply the multi-condition everywhere you want it by right-clicking "add condition" and double-clicking your multi-condition. In the lower left of the multi-condition window, select "dynamic".

Now, if you want to change all multi-conditions in the tree, just create the new version you want in one place and save it over your old multi-condition. This is now the new definition for this multi-condition, and all multi-conditions in the tree will always adapt to the most recent definition.

No way to do it with named stored ranges already set?

Hey is there a way to assign a "missed flushdraw" or "missed straightdraw" on the river that a villain can bet?

Hi scylla,

I had a question. I need cardrunnersev (and intend to buy it soon) but also need flopzilla as well for some different calculations. Do you think the cardrunnersev program can do all the things that flopzilla does (eg. looking at how an oponents range 'hits' a certain flop, and how the turn card changes that range?)

ie. so i dont need to buy both.

Thanks

CardRunnersEV can do everything Flopzilla can, however Flopzilla's interface is really focussed on quick and easy input and output when analyzing and filtering ranges. If you want a quick answer in a certain situation then Flopzilla's interface will allow you to do so the quickest. CardRunnersEV takes longer to input data, but gives far more depth and detailed data. In the end, CardRunnersEV and Flopzilla are separate programs with separate goals.

I decided not to add that, since it doesn't really matter what the reason was you arived at the river with a certain hand; in the end, your missed flushdraw or oesd is nothing but whatever made hand it has become on the river.

However, if you still want to make the distinction, then for a missed flushdraw you can just select say you have, for example, two hearts, by going to "holecards->suits" and select "heart" and "both cards".
For the outside straight draw you can go to "holecards->range" and enter the appropriate cards. The syntax for this dialog can be found by clicking on the '?' to the right.

Hey Scylla I have a quick q about cardrunnersEV;

is the EV presented at the bottom of each decision in $ or in bb?

Thankyou, super product btw!

Could somebody tell me what this turn call percentage means?

In the file, I selected AcQh as cutoff's hand. I tried adding various conditions, "top pair", "one pair", "board texture", all lead to this number being 24%.

I want to simulate the times cutoff hits an ace or queen on the turn with AcQh, but it says that we're going to be calling the turn 24%, which is clearly wrong, since an ace or queen is only going to land 12.5%.

Hi Gianttwinky,

I'd have to have a look at the file in order to be sure, but from what I can tell from the screenshot:
- You have four of SB's betting requirements include conditions like Board[AQ]. This means that every time such a requirement is met there's a 100% chance of there being A or Q on the turn. This will artificially boost the chance of there being an A or Q for the "bet 44" action as a whole.
- The other requirements, such as gs, 3rd pair, oesd, only occur if SB does not hold A or Q himself, which will also slightly boost the chance of an A or Q on the board.

Anyhow, if the above doesn't answer your question, please mail your savefile to support and I'll have a closer look.

Cheers,

Scylla

Scylla,
for unexploitable open shoving:
I want to exclude certain hands from my range. I wouldn't shove with AA for example. How do I do that?
I know I can remove them manually afterwards but that would be incorrect since the villain would adjust his calling range to me so if I remove AA from my shove range the other hands will not be profitable anymore.

If I understand you correctly you wish to use a shove or fold strategy with only a part of your range and use some other strategy for the other part of your range. In order to do that I would simply remove AA from the range at the shove or fold point. You can do that by for example removing it preflop. After you've computed the shove or fold range you can add it back again.

This approach would not be perfect, since for example the card removal to villain's range would not be applied as well, but I think it would come pretty close.
