Hey Scylla,

Is there a place where the ranges we design into GTO+ are saved? Sometimes if you open 2 instances of GTO+ and you close the wrong one first it didn't save the ranges.

Your ranges are stored in the file /config/newdefs3.txt.
Backups are regularly made to the directory /config/backups

To restore your ranges to a previous state:
1) Rename one of the backup files to newdefs3.txt
2) Save it in place of /config/newdefs3.txt

Thank you so much Scylla. I thought i had lost many hours of ranges building.

Hi,
I don't quite understand how to load a subset of flops into gto+. If I have a text file with the flops in it, what do I have to enter into the "Import flops from file" field?
Thanks

To create a file with flops from a database, in the "advanced" section, click on "Export flops to file". In the screenshot below I have used the file myfile.txt. This file will be stored to the directory /flops. To load this subset at a later point, click on "Import flops from file".

What about if you want to export the flops to a new file? Do you have to create that file first or does gto+ create the file itself just by you putting a name in the "export file to" field?

You would need to click on "Export flops to file".

hey,

nothing happens when I click on "export flops to file".

You need to:
1) Fill in a name for the target file, for example myfile.txt
2) Click on "Export flops to file"

A message will appear after 2).
See the screenshot below.

Hey Scylla , I am sorry for the noob question but Im really new to this ,

What would be the best way to see what sizings the solver suggests are best given a certain scenarion?

The best way would be to run different trees for the different sizings that you're considering. The value to look at for every tree is the overall performance for OOP, which can be found in his very first decision under the table. See the screenshot below. Interestingly, most likely you will find that for all bet sizes the overall performance will be approximately the same. As it turns out, for any reasonable bet size (and surprisingly even for unreasonable bet sizes) there is a GTO solution that will have similar performance as the GTO solution for any different bet size.

If it's possible an auto save every x minutes option on database mode would be very good, it could save a lot of time when solving big trees with big flopsubests and something cause the PC to shutdown

@Scylla I have an idea for a possible feature. Given 2 ranges GTO+ could calculate the ev of every hand based on a subset of flops designed to simulate all possible flops. While this is already possible to do by hand using GTO+ it would be easier if it was automated. Ty

This is already available. For this, select the tab "Aggregate". The column hands will display the info for individual hands. Please do note that the "Aggregate" tab is only available in case of databases where all trees are identical (apart from them having different flops).

For this, use the "process all files in a given directory" feature.
It will auto-save after every solved tree.
The icon for this feature is in the upper right of the interface.

Hey Scylla,

unfortunately, no window pops up and no file is created when I click on "Export flops to file". Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Cheers

At the very least the target name should turn red or there should be some sort of message.
Does it perhaps work if you create a directory C:/tmp and export to C:/tmp/myfile.txt?
Or, if this is not the case, can you send a database to support where you're having this issue?

It does turn red, but no window pops up. Dies that mean it stil worked?

If it turns red, then for some reason it was not able to save the file.

Is the subdirectory /flops perhaps not present in your case?

Is it possible to enter a static location, such as C:/tmp/myfile.txt?
Please note that for this the directory C:/tmp will need to exist.

Hey was wondering why CREV comes up with a different EV vs using the standard formula? I'm trying to make a spreadsheet and wanted it to get the same EV as CREV but it's off by a bit. I took rake and rakeback out of the equation but still the same result.

Basically we're in a 4b pot, villain has 99 on 9c6c4d and villain x/shoves over our 13bb bet for 81bb's.

Our equity when we call is 87.59%
villain equity: 12.41%
Pot: 51.5 (before villain 81bb shove)

So I'm using the standard formula:
EV = EV
F = probability opponent folds
P = pot size prior to bet
B = bet size
W = probability hero wins

EV = F(P) + (1-F)[W(P+B) - (1-W)B]

(.297)(51.5)+(1-.297)((.8759)(51.5+81)+(1-.8759)(-81))= 89.16

CREV=81.8

Thanks for any help!

Can you send a savefile to support please?
I'd just like to make sure that I correctly understand the situation.
