I tried rename Дмитрий => Dmitry, but an error occurred and I hope that the name Дмитрий will be ok.

As for some stats not working ... the Steal stat in Stud is definitely not working. In my player stats tab all the fields for Steal in Stud games are empty. And it's also not working in the HUD.

That would be awesome. I'm sure it would be a very welcome feature for any Stud player. It would really help with multi-tabling.

Kinda odd that FPDB was correctly installed in your user name's profile folder but FPDB seems to have problems accessing that folder. I wonder if FPDB might have problems with cyrillic text encoding. Maybe if you set up a user account with a name in Latin letters (like "Dmitry") and then install FPDB under that user account, it might work. But I'm just speculating.

Yeah, I tried, but there is an error, that this is a system directory and could not be renamed. I have already renamed my account to 'Dmitry" but I still can't rename the directory C:\Documents and Settings\Дмитрий\Application Data

Oh no, that's not what I mean. (And from my own experience it's not a good idea to try and rename an account or it's profile folder )

I mean you could set up a new Windows user account (named Dmitry), then change to that account and install FPDB again and see if it works afterwards.

I'm using the latest version , that you released on June 15th or something. The stats I've mentioned don't work on any game, not even Holdem...They always display 0 in my HUD. I can provide print screens if it helps.

Sorry, I actually messed up the limits here: .10/.20 are the limits for the NLHE in 8-game, not for the FL. As far as I figured it out, they work OK importing because, even if no NLHE game with this limits exist on PS, there is a FLHE game with this limits...

For the $0.20-$0.40 Poker Stars 8-Game, the big blind for the FLHE is 0.40, so the big bet should be 0.80. This is the same for the Omaha Hi/Lo in the 8 Game. Here's an example from a HH:

PokerStars Game #...: 8-Game (Omaha Hi/Lo Limit, $0.20/$0.40 USD) - 2010/06/18 ... CET [2010/06/18 ... ET]
...
PokerStars Game #...: 8-Game (Hold'em Limit, $0.20/$0.40 USD) - 2010/06/18 ... CET [2010/06/18 ... ET]

If I leave the HH like this, FPDB is not able to import it; it will just stay in the "importing" state indefinely. If I change the limits in the header of each line to $0.25/$0.50 USD, which is an existing limit for the regular FLHE on PS, it will import OK

So, if the big bet is what you need, I guess it should be 0.80, twice the big blind...

Hope I helped...

I forgot: you asked me about triple draw. No, it doesn't work at all...I don't play 2-7 singular games, only in the 8-game, so I guess it's the same thing as for FLHE and FLO8, as there is no 2-7 game on PS with the limits 0.20/0.40, so I guess it's importing it wrong...

I tried to import a 27 hand from a 8-game and the log returns this error:

2010-06-18 21:23:57,611 - parser INFO Read 1 hands (1 failed) in 0.031 seconds

I changed the header from

PokerStars Game #...: 8-Game (Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit, $0.20/$0.40 USD) - 2010/06/18 ... CET [2010/06/18 ... ET]

to

PokerStars Game #...: 8-Game (Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit, $0.25/$0.50 USD) - 2010/06/18 ... CET [2010/06/18 ... ET]

and it worked, here's the log:

2010-06-18 21:27:06,930 - parser INFO Read 1 hands (0 failed) in 0.079 seconds

EDIT: let me know if you need some unedited HH from the 8 game

How hard would it be to graph in big bets rather than $? If it seems possible, any suggestions of how it should be implemented?

sorry for keep posting, I wanted to edit but don't have the option anymore...

I screwed up again...so here is the blind structure for the .20/.40$ 8 Game on PS
- 2-7 limit triple draw, limit omaha 8, limit holdem: the blinds are 0.10/0.20, so the big bet is 0.40...
- PLO, NLHE: blinds are 0.05/0.10, the big bet is 0.20
- razz, stud, stud8: the big bet is 0.40

Sorry if I mislead you...I got confused by looking at the header in the HHs

I think we are having issues with pathnames containing cyrillic letters. I'm not sure if there is an easy fix to that - except for what Cardvark suggests

Is the second line correct? We may have a bug with 0 as a low threshold.

Fixed that. It would appear that the 2-7 bug was just the missing entry for the limit.

This is probably pretty simple - but i'm an sql rookie.

The current sql query returns totalProfit for each hand, dividing that by BB probably isn't that difficult.

getRingProfitAllHandsPlayerIdSite in SQL.py if curious

Graphing in BB looks like it works! I suck at GUI, so I can't implement a way to switch between $/BB in the GUI or make the axis label 'BB' instead of a '$', but here's my query:

Code:
$ diff SQL.py SQL.py.ORIG
2607c2607
<             SELECT hp.handId, ( hp.totalProfit / gt.bigBlind ) * 100 , hp.sawShowdown
---
>             SELECT hp.handId, hp.totalProfit, hp.sawShowdown
This may be a hack or have bad logic...I don't totally get:

1) why we use bigBlind instead of bigBet, which seems to be '0' for all Gametypes; and why I don't need to multiply ( bigBlind * 2 ) to get expected results; or

2) why I need to multiply by 100. I guess because I want a graph where $1 represents 1BB, not a graph where $0.01 represents 1BB?

Thoughts?

That looks like laziness on my part - bigBet should be set, and it is definitely available.

Database.py - The insert line of getGameTypeId need to be fixed. Patches welcome

Its because that array is divided by 100 later on

Code:
return (greenline/100, blueline/100, redline/100)
Each line is in c, so it divides by 100 to give $

there's a missing space character, but instead of that the line is correct; I don't know about the bug...it works well for the total profit stat, which displays correctly green if >0 and orange is below.

@fekev: I'm not a developer and I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you either modified the HUD_config file or, if you said it's the first time you used the program, the HUD_config.xml may not exist in your program's folder; I've encountered similar errors myself; try modifying the HUD_config.xml.example file to HUD_config.xml and see if it works this way. The HUD_config.xml.example should be present in FPDB\pyfpdb

Nice try, but I copied the .example back to HUD_config.xml and only added the posgress line and changed the HH path. No change in the error.

Not sure it matters, as it seems to be working OK, but I don't like errors.

I've had a look for you and found in Options.py:

Code:
    parser.add_option("-d", "--databaseName",
                      dest="dbname",
                      help="Overrides the default database name")
So what you want is "fpdb -d <name of 2nd DB>", where I think the <name of 2nd DB> must correspond to the db_name= element in your configuration file. I'm not completely sure about this as I haven't tested it.

(I'm glad I looked this up as I've discovered that you can use "fpdb -c" to specify a second config file, which is useful -- I've been doing this the hard way by renaming the files!)

This is actually a symptom of a pretty big problem. I believe Draw hands are getting imported with the wrong gametype ID.

Code:
mysql> select id,category,limitType,bigBlind from Gametypes where bigBlind='100';
+----+----------+-----------+----------+
| id | category | limitType | bigBlind |
+----+----------+-----------+----------+
|  1 | 27_3draw | fl        |      100 |
+----+----------+-----------+----------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

mysql> select count(*) from Hands where gametypeID = '1';
+----------+
| count(*) |
+----------+
|    12922 |

I should definitely have ~13k hands at .5/1 limit (where the big blind is $0.50 and the big bet is $1.00). And I should have about ~1k hands at 1/2 limit (where the big blind is $1.00 and the big bet is $2.00).

I can probably take a look at the import code some time tomorrow.

The strange thing is, if I generate Player Stats for '100', it gives me proper/expected stats for .5/1. That is, it gives me the expected bb/100 in big bets. Does this mean that LHE people are getting their bb/100 in big blinds?

@ sorrow

I've downloaded and installed the latest release (fpdb-020-pre1.exe, releases today) but the issue with the missing limits at PS's 8-game is still on. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? For me, installing the new release means that I've replaced the content of the installation folder with the new content from your latest release. Do I need to do something more?
