I'd like to seriously thank all the staff/posters/support on the forums. My staff & sponsored Pro's read everything you guys are typing on here and take it to heart. We are not perfect, nor will we ever be, but I'm 100000% dedicated to doing everything in our power to make the majority of people happy.
I say the "majority" because no matter what we do, we cannot please EVERYBODY. So, I'm going to be extremely realistic with you and do anything/everything I can to make things work.

I'd like to clear some things up...
I understand that people think we should have used an awesome "V" logo for Victory which is what I obviously would have liked to do and what was originally designed by Michael Godard. But, legally I could not use that because of a movie and a tv show that own the trademarks (V for Vendetta) and (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_%282009_TV_series%29)
So with the fact that I cant use the "V" I asked Godard who is the #1 Selling Artist in Gross Sales in the US to create something different and classy that uses his famous olives. The logo could be adapted or changed in the years to come. But, it's cool & fun for now and the general public loves it since he has sold more paintings then anyone. I'm happy with the outcome.

Next topic to clear up,,, I've seen multiple posts about Victory Poker failing like all the other sites. I'd just like you guys to understand that I didn't start with "lunch money" like the hundreds of other skins that have come out over the years... my company is well funded, has magazine advertisements in Bluff US/Europe, Poker Pro US/Europe/Canada, Canadian Poker and the upcoming Poker Player Europe/Online, Card Player US/Europe/Online, etc.
I've already signed deals with dozens of major affiliates worldwide and have hundreds of small ones that have been signing up on www.victorypokernetwork.com
In addition to that we're sponsoring tournaments/events/more Pro's and even the Oscar's celebrity events to continue to bring poker to the mainstream.
I'm completed dedicated to this project, I moved to Malta and will not fail.
There will be extremely open/honest unedited video blogs throughout this process at http://www.victoryceo.com/?m=201002

There has been many postings about the players that I've signed to endorse the site.... It is a wide array of players with different skill sets & accomplishments from all over the world. No matter what you personally feel about certain players, they've turned $50 into millions or grinded for years before they won a major title. So all of them have "earned their stripes" for different reasons. I will continue to sign Pro's & celebrities, we just added James "Andy Mcleod" Obst from Australia who has an impressive online resume at such a young age.

I'd also like to note in regards to signing players, I've created the 1st full fledged team in many years but am not "blindly" signing players and am not interested in having 100's of sponsored pros.
Besides being the youngest owner of a publicly traded company in history and selling nearly 50 million dollars worth of clothing/energy drinks from the age of 17, I actually play poker I have won the $2,500 Canadian Poker Tour Main Event, the $10,000 buy-in Chipleader Challenge at the Hard Rock as well as the $5,000 buy-in CEO Poker Championship. Each of the players that were signed have been discussed as a group, thought about in detail and then used to market their skill set. Again, no matter how you feel about any individual player, they all have 7 figures worth of winnings in some format of tournaments/online or live cash games. (Besides Sara Underwood who I signed because, besides being Playmate of the Year, actually loves poker and has been studying with the team nearly every week. She final tabled her 1st live event that had 10k starting stacks and real blind levels so she's absorbing the information).

The rake on the network has been a posting as well which we are not blind too. We have NOT deleted anybody's posts, my Sponsored Pro's are longtime TwoplusTwo'ers and know that people will be mad if we do that and just re-post anyway so it's counterproductive for us to do that.
That poster was banned by a non-affiliated moderator because of his racist remarks on another thread (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...php?p=16827679 ).
We understand your concerns of the rake on some of the games, we have discussed with Everleaf Gaming who merged with the UPN Network some options to improve things but there are alot of factors to the situation since they have dozens of skins from all over the world that all have to agree. I have to stand behind their decisions and I will say that the reason that I chose Everleaf was their amazing ability to communicate with me, my staff & the Pro's every single day. So, I hope things can be worked out. The Everleaf staff has been amazing in responding to everybody, especially since we've had so many play $ and real $ signups everyday.

All in all, I will answer as much as I can for you guys, the staff & the pro's have been doing their best as well. However, I won't accept drama or lies or rude messages towards my staff. I'm a real person and have put everything I have into this, we're not some zillion dollar company that doesnt have feelings, I care about what you guys think or I wouldnt have gotten a Sponsored Support forum on here.
I respect the TwoplusTwo community and want to get your true feedback. Please understand that the marketing we're doing, the Charity Events, etc. is good for poker as a whole and that we"re here to make the Mainstream comfortable to play online poker whether it's in America, Canada, Europe & beyond.

I look forward to your questions/advice/thoughts/comments and if you have marketing ideas or something important, please email info@victorypoker.net but keep in mind that there are hundreds of emails per day.

Sincerely,

Dan Fleyshman

Great to hear from you, really good read

Glad to hear you signed Obst being an Australian myself the kid can certainly play

I think the pros you've signed are really good. Antonio has certainly captured everyones attention with others like Blitz have bought peoples attention to the site. In other words I think theyve been picked perfectly for the marketing potential and are doing exactly what you want them too

Ive enjoyed the site so far and understand there will be greater improvements in the future (hopefully to speed gametime up a little) and look forward to grinding out some hands on the site

Excellent post. It's great to hear from the CEO while other companies don't have that kind of "one on one".

I would like to say i love the site, and see great things happening.

Excellent start and i wish Victory the best.

BUMP - who are you sha? You started off sounding like a player but now sound more like a partner of Victory with all your Bump's and support like comments?

I wouldn't worry about it. I've been called a shill for DC & for pokertrainingguide just because I speak positive about them. Now if he did happen to be a "partner" as you say, what would it matter?

wouldn't matter at all - except for loss of intergity
02-17-2010 , 03:58 PM
Loss of "integrity"? How by expressing his enthusiasm for a new site he happens to like?
02-17-2010 , 05:12 PM
Pancho - i don't want to get into an argument.

It seems your not able to understand how your intergirty is at risk if you pretend to have to no connection to a business while singing their praises.

Sorry bout the misunderstanding, lol. I am i guess "overly" excited. I am very happy bout the new site and i like to praise it enough to hopefully get more people to try it out. I am not a partner, but i have been asked to sign up as an Affiliate, which i am thinking about doing.

Other than that, i am just a regular poker player excited for the new things to come for Victory. And excited to see more new US friendly poker sites opening up. Thanks!

How exactly is it a bad thing to lose your virginity? If all I had to do was spam about some poker skin...

Thanks guys, I will get the other videos that I shot up on here shortly, there very straightforward about the industry/uigea/why I signed each player/etc.

Sha Sha Booey has been quite active but does not work with us, I'd like him or her to be an affiliate but I want zillions of other people to be affiliates too : )

I'm open to educated criticism about the negatives, but people on 2plus2 should also realize that when people tell us what we're doing well,,, it helps us a great deal to do more things in the right direction.

I actually signed up today to be an affiliate. I see you offer 35% for your affiliates. How are we supposed to bring in players from outside channels with you offering 40% rb? Can they still use your 40% rb code, is it still valid in addition to my tracker? If so, you are giving away 75%? Sorry, probably a stupid question. I write for a couple of university magazines and thought it might be a nice target audience. I promote FT as well, but everyone already has accounts with them...no way to make money.

So, I guess I am asking as an affiliate, can I offer rakeback or just the deposit bonus? I signed up as fear_me and never did get an EMail or welcome to the program or anything.
02-19-2010 , 03:51 AM
Fear_Me --- Thank you for your question, the 35% revshare is for Affiliates that wish to give their players a Deposit Bonus. If you want to become a rakeback affiliate, you will have a much lower commission structure. Rakeback players rake much more in the longrun. You may also promote both but your commission will depend on the promotion that you are giving the player. If you have any further questions please e-mail affiliates@victorypoker.net

Thanks. I'll be in touch.

I definitely think college kids would respond more to the rakeback.

Over a dozen videos are up on the Youtube account now http://www.youtube.com/user/VictoryPoker

We're shooting some strategy videos with Brian "Tsarrast" Rast who plays the $500-$1000 nl & plo games this weekend and some fun videos with Sara Underwood as well at the WPT Celebrity Invitational this weekend.

More of the International Magazine Advertisements are coming out in 12 days in Canada/China/Europe & Scandinavian markets so I'm excited to see what kind of response we get on the site.

Hello Dan,

do you mind share your thoughts about why you guys chosed such a small network to start with?

Having good contacts and acess to network staff is great, but having a solid player pool is even better.

This is the first question that arrived in my head: "why not Cake Poker?".

Another option would be start from zero with its own network, since everleaf already has like 0 players.

I'm talking this as a player and an affiliate who wants to understand a decision of such a high profile CEO like yourself, dont take it as an offense to your site.

Best regards.

I think it will work out in the end. I really believe the site will grow & pull through. Better than Cake (don't like not allowing HUD) would have been Merge. Small site but potential for growth & has 10 man tables.

Good Questions! I know he or someone in Victory had a response to this already, to all these Q's.

I'm not a big fan of sites that use HUD, but to each their own. I think the site will still grow inevitably. Still....Good Q's.

IMO...the sky is the limit for Victory Poker.

Everleaf might not be a big network. If this site is managed proficiently and respectfully by employees who actually care about every player from the small stakes tables to the high stakes tables, that will go a long way in attracting new traffic. Mangement just needs to take the ball and run with it. Variety is never a bad thing and I really believe that US players are starving for a new site that they can trust with their money in order to play full time on.

Just my opinion though.
02-20-2010 , 02:58 AM
Nice to see a CEO actually being active in the feedback part of the site, I'm rather impressed with Victory so far based on their response here on the forums, and pretty much everything I can find. Wish you the best with the site.

I played some 10/20 hunl today on VP to try out the software and posted a couple problems in the other thread.

One thing I noticed you already mentioned was the rake... but just to echo your comments...one of the pots I played raked 5 euros at a 10/20 heads up table. I was shocked to see that considering 500/1000nl hu tables on full tilt rake 50cents.

I know it's not completely within your control to make changes but as you know, something has to be done about that.

I think VP has a good chance of becoming a major player in the USA after they work out some of the kinks.

I agree. Would be cool to see a sponsorship deal for the Deuces Cracked crew.
