Been a registered user/poster since last summer, did a good amount of buying over the summer aswell through the site, and all is in good standing.

Could you guys shed some light as to what I need to do to be able to start a thread? Thanks!

If I were to buy a piece of someone who is currently in an online tourney, who has already made the money, how would I calculate the price of a certain percentage? Does somebody have a working formula for such a request.

This would depend on so many unknown factors. My only advice is make him/her an offer if he accepts all is good

If a player was staked pretty huge percentage in a big tournament and scores big (like 50k+), is it common for player to discuss tipping percent with stakers or do they usually go with typical 2-4%? Or tip none at all (which I'm against btw)?

I'm a total *******, cry a lot about beats, have been temp-banned a few times (had my poker alias perma-banned within half an hour of joining), alienated at least half of the potential OH8 backers by calling them fish and worse (which they are), had "spirited discussions" with a few mods, generally run below EV and have never bought anyone else's action. So 3 questions.

1. What are the chances of me being marketplace approved in time for SCOOP $2100 Events?
2. What are the chances of me still being able to post on 2+2 given the above?
3. Am I mental or just a funny bastard?

Chances of being approved are 0 - you haven't been a member in good standing for 6 months. So that automatically disqualifies you.

Given the other stuff though which means you run the risk of getting re-banned in the middle of selling a package likely means you'd never be approved.

I'm considering starting a tshirt company that sells awesome or funny poker tshirts and sick(incrediblely awesome designs) edc/edm styled shirts/hoodies. I want to do this in the next few months and by that time I will have had an acct in good standing for over 6 mons with plenty of regular posting and all but I still had a few questions about this:

1) Am I able to sell custom tshirts I make in the marketplace?
2) How long would I be able to sell them in the marketplace before I have to start paying to sell them and how much would I have to pay to list them afterwards?
3) Do you guys think I will be able to sell enough shirts through the marketplace to be worth my time of posting them on here(at least a few hundred shirts)?
4) Has anyone ever sold shirts in the marketplace?(I read through all of the threads in here and didn't see any)

I want to do this to supplement my poker income and because I know I have amazing ideas for poker and edm(electronic dance music)/edc(electric daisy carnival styled) tshirts(confirmed by many of my friends and they weren't just being nice because they are overly critical).

I'd say if your designs are up-to-scratch, you will get good custom here. Some understated ones along with most you wouldn't wear to church and yea, I could see that being a decent biz model. Really it would depend on your first few reviews - personally I would demand expensive basic materials or I wouldn't bother (retail min $30). If 2+2 won't let you sell permanently, you can always sell on ebay or even pay one of the dudes in another 2+2 forum to build you a simple website after getting noticed here first. GL

Since this would be a business it would go in the commercial marketplace so you'd need to pay for a thread there. You can PM or email Bobo Fett about those.

I work for a company which is developing online poker software, and I'd like to create a marketplace thread looking for beta testers. In return for their time, we'd offer... something (not sure what yet).

I'm curious if that's fine to go ahead with, any input to make sure I don't break any rules would be helpful. Thanks!

2) how can I get in touch with some solid backers who have been arround 2+2's marketplace and ex-change opinions with them? except ofc PMing randomly each one of them?
3) Am I allowed to post a thread about seeking stable partners in the "selling online shares" section?
4) Am I allowed to sell shares of my stable on 2+2's marketplace? if yes what are the requirements to do so?

ps people who would consider these questions interesting and would like to have a talk through skype are more than welcome to PM their skype adress and I ll add them asap

cheers

hey, i ve posted this here few months ago, I only recieved a couple of answers (1 by ratslla and 1 by a forum's moderator) but as I was told by the guys who replied this was only their opinion. I tried to PM some of the moderators in order to get more detailed/specific answers but 1 week later I still have no reply. Any clue what to do or who to ask about this?

I have a question regarding a situation:

- Hacker hacks person A's 2p2 and Stars accounts.
- Hacker asks for and receives a stake on 2p2 posing as person A
- Hacker gets money and runs

Under what circumstances, if any, is person A responsible for covering this money?

My mistake - I've somehow missed this forever.

1) Yes, general marketplace. So long as it is about seeking other investors to go in with you and not about finding horses you'll be fine. If it becomes more of the latter it'll be closed.
2) Not that I can think of. You could ask in one of the subforum's general questions type threads for people to PM you. I think "randomly" pm'ing would be fine just to see if anyone would be open to talking. As far as someone who backs a lot of people - should be easy to determine in the offering stakes subforum
3) No, see answer to #1
4) No, we don't allow that

Well person A is going to lose their 2p2 account if they don't pay back the funds as they are liable to make sure that their account is safe and secure, especially if they are doing financial transactions. This isn't a financial institution so Visa and Mastercard or a bank aren't covering fraudulent transactions here.

If you mean liability as in "liable in a court of law"? I think that'd be a tougher sell but I'm not an attorney - if that's what you mean then you should consult one.

If it wasn't obvious I was the one who got scammed. Both myself and person a seem like honest people we both want what's fair so it's more of an ethics question rather than a legal question

I don't think A is responsible for anything, if proven that it was a hack.

However in this situation it would be difficult to rule out foul play. Seems more likely that it would be some kind of inside job between Player A and the 'hacker'.
