Viffer playing 500k pool match vs world champ? Viffer playing 500k pool match vs world champ?

Details are sketchy, but it sounds like Viffer "aka dippy dave on the pool fourms" is basically playing one pocket world champion Scott Frost HU4Soulz at one pocket at pool sharks in LV.

Action reports say Frost was 1 game away from taking the cheese last night, but Viffer roared back and won like 9 games in a row.

For all of you who dont know, one pocket is a slow methodical strategy game, and would compare to 8ball or 9ball like chess to checkers.

Many big name poker players were supposedly in attendance and sweating the action with tons of bets on the rail.

So who has the real story?

I love Viffer for blowing up Phil Hellmuth roughly a dozen times on TV.

wat? I thought these two hated each other?
03-19-2011 , 05:26 PM
yea, I Guess they kissed and made up to get the match on.

If the stories are true, viffer showed a TON of heart coming back from Scott being on the hill.

Some stories are saying 100k per set, some said straight up 5ook, some said somewhere in between with action from the rail.

They have been going at it all week apparently.

If sick means he couldn't hit the end rail with a two-by-four then yeah, he is. Scott is giving him like 19-4.

Kudos to Viffer for showing so much heart though, and for the gamble. Word is that the first day of the BCA tournament last year he walked into the pool room and said in a loud voice, "I hear in this game if someone wins $50,000 they're famous. Well I'm here to make someone famous!" Pretty awesome stuff.

Viffer rules. I think he's only 2nd to Dwan in terms of action. He makes the tv poker games very interesting to watch.

There is more to this story then is being posted. That is all I can say about this topic. Scott's from my hometown. He has some sick 1 pocket skills. Viffer needs to leave AZ and head back to this forum lol.
