The Walking Dead Season 5 The Walking Dead Season 5

Abraham keeps acting like he's got a plane to catch. If Mullet Guy is really the key to some kind of cure, wouldn't it make vastly more sense to prioritize his safety over some imaginary timetable? Or did I miss some explanation for his urgency?

His chances of making it to Washington seem like they'd be a lot better if he just hung out the day or two needed to get the full group back together. I'd much rather have Rick etc there for the trip.

Obv maggie have to split from the group when they are gonna reintroduce beth again. I suspect Carol got tarped, but daryl came back with beth and possibly Morgan aswell

And this is the best twd been since the first 3 eps in s1! Gooooood pace

I don't know there's a crazy person going around kidnapping and eating peoples legs. He doesn't have the same connection to the group as the rest since they just met short time ago. So I can understand wanting to leave.

and why does he only want slow gas guzzling cargo vehicles?

The short bus is clearly the optimal vehicle for them.

Which survivors do NOT belong on the short bus?

So much confusion ITT!

- Maggie and Glenn leaving makes no sense. This is a weird one particularly with Maggie's sister missing but I suppose she figured Beth is as goodas dead if she's been gone this long. But still you think she would have loyalty to her group
- the people watching the group was just Gareth/his group.
- this episode really dragged after the cannibals were killed. Was solid up until that point
- there is strength in numbers in this world so it doesn't make sense that Rambo would be so eager to split
- definitely guessing Beth comes back this week. Or she's dead.

I feel they're reviving Dale in a soft spoken manner via Tyreese.

Rick reads the note that Abraham says the new world need him. Rick goes to Tyreese and asks him about the time they were apart and reminds Tyreese they're still alive as if Rick takes Abraham's inspiration to tell Tyreese that any hope for civilization requires Tyreese refusing to accept primalism.

The leadership role of Rick requires he act in the present and deal with guilt later and his inner conflict is that his morality is now tainted. He needs Tyreese as he needed Dale and Herschel.

Also: so bad that Maggie hasn't once asked about Beth.

This thread was a lot more fun before you lemmings decided this POS was somehow good all of a sudden.

yea i thought about that earlier, this thread always jumped 100 posts every episode and it was all about being funnier than the dude before with some smart remark on how much it sucked. It was more fuel to the fire that way, gifs and the like. Now its "yea this show is kinda good now, not great but hey, I'm watching it".

This thread used to be my favorite stop all week on 2+2 and I almost rushed the episodes of badness just to come here and read all the wonderful posts.

show has been much better, but Maggie deciding to leave - for reasons 100% unknown and by doing so leaving her missing ONLY RELATIVE behind - is completely ludicrous.

It was a compromise. The Eugene group was leaving and going to take the bus. Rick was ready to fight them for it. They agreed to stay one day and help them fight the cannibals if they could leave the next day and take Maggie and Glenn with them

Yeah. Idk why that's difficult to comprehend. What I'm not clear on was the "clear threat", because that threat was the Terminus camp and they were killed. I guess the DC camp wasn't willing to wait for Carol and Daryl to come back

but why maggie and glenn specifically

do they feel some attachment to them from meeting them slightly earlier than rick and the rest of the crew? GI joe, eugene and soldier chick were doing fine without them. they have no particular use or fighting skill (actually the opposite, GI joe got in that fight with glen and they ended up shooting up their truck)

feels the writers needed just maggie out before reintroducing beth to prep some dramatic reunion later

This is pretty cool and eerie at the same time and at least a little relevant to this thread:

It's a panorama shot of the town of Pripjat, a ghost town that was abandoned in 1986 because of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. This is 28 years later and nature is taking over.
