It really is, criminally underrated these days imo.

Yep.

My favorite after breaking bad, and of course the uncontested goat series finale.

I'm only on series 2 but it is everything that I love about TV dramas - character driven who actually are engaging and interesting.

If you didn't like S2 of Justified, you should stop watching television.

I'd switch these two grades but can't recommend it enough. If you want something less action packed but so far worth the time I'd recommend Leftovers. Only problem is I'm not sure they have anyway to conclude it in a satisfying way.

You could also check out first season of Underbelly and HBO's OZ.
First season of Underbelly is great, I've not got round to watching any more yet.

If you're into crime drama, I'd also recommend Love/Hate which is based in Ireland.

I have passed judgment and it is adverse. Season 2 of Justified is a top-ten season of anything on TV since the debut of The Sopranos.

Also here to pimp Six Feet Under. It just goes to so many weird places.

I've watched a few of the classic Simpsons, as they are always playing on FXX, and they really aren't that good.

Enlightened was a really great show. It actually beat out Breaking Bad in its final season on AVClub. I don't exactly agree with that, but I did understand.

re: fargo. Is it a show that you get hooked on immediately or is it a show that takes a handful of episodes to get really into?
Watched first two episodes and i like it. It is kind of funny and really weird, but overall i am not itching to keep watching.

have not seen the movie fwiw (i know..)

Both seasons of Fargo build from the first episode to where they're just plain nuts by about midway through. Season 1 started out a little faster overall, but season 2 while it had a slow start to the first episode starts careening down the track pretty fast in that episode and it really never takes its foot off once it gets started. Just try to enjoy season 1 for the expert filmmaking that it is until it finally grabs you and won't let go.

I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere on this forum, but HBO's Getting On is the most underrated show on TV. Laurie Metcalf is phenomenal in her role as Dr. Jenna James and the whole cast is great. It is an adaptation of a BBC show, so it has a similar feel to Extras and the original Office. If you liked those shows you will love Getting On.

It is the funniest hospital-based show I've seen (funnier than scrubs) and if you work in the medical field you will find it hilarious due to the extremely accurate and nuanced medical humor.

There are 3 short seasons (6 episodes each I think) and it gets better and better with each episode. It also has one of the best final lines of any show.

It competed with the Sopranos, The Wire and Breaking Bad in excellence although is very gritty and doesn't have the humor of those shows.

Cant wait for
Better call Sol

And btw that Love Hate above looks pretty good too

But can any of those shows compete with the critically acclaimed even IMD s got a hard on for it , Come dine with me!
Maybe the best show I've seen since the Wire. 7 episodes into season 1. It's like the best of a few shows. And sometimes feels like Heat. Must see.

I've been meaning to watch Gomorrah for a while now.

What's the sex/violence like in it? I mentioned it in passing to a friend's mum who's learning Italian, and she seems pretty keen to watch it now. She's rather conservative though, and probably wouldn't approve of any GoT-esque debauchery. Do I need to steer her away from it?

Ya probably not ideal. It's the same level of gritty as the movie.
