Regarding Crystal, it appeared to me that she quickly made up the claim that the guy was her fiancé. I think she doesn't want to get into a relationship with Jason because she doesn't think it will work out, so she purposely made up something. The dude appears to have feelings toward Crystal as well, so the relationship those two have is very bizarre.
What? Are you forgetting about the scene where Jason interviews the guy in jail? Pretty sure he mentioned fiance in that scene.

My read on the "don't let him" do whatever thing from the lame dream/happy fairyland sequence is that "him" is more likely the King than Bill and that it's an attempt at misdirection, but that's just me.

Spoiler:
They made a point of Eric being surprised at the Queen's reason for being interested in Sookie. They also made a point of Bill being surprised at how long he was unaffected by the sun. He had been drinking Sookie's blood just prior to being exposed. My guess is that the Queen somehow suspects, and Bill found out, that Sookie blood is the vampire antidote to sunlight, which could be a big deal to vampires.

I like this theory

Pretty sure they never specifically said, but it makes sense that as they age they get more powerful but their weaknesses such as to the sun increase; Bill walked in the sun a fair while before saving Sookie and Godric burned up pretty much instantly, so there is enough evidence to draw that conclusion.

It is possible Bill was effected identically this time as in season one, i dont remember it that clearly as it was well over a year since i seen that ep. He certainly was being harmed by the sunlight this time though so i dont think there is enough to go off to conclude Sookie's blood effected him in that way. Also as a grey area the fact he had just fed made him stronger than normal, so recently fed vamps may have better protection to sunlight than those who hadnt fed for hours...?

For those who read the 10th book

Spoiler:
can someone explain how that 100 year old russian prince vampire destroyed the other much older vamps eric/maker/erics child.. ? Isnt this a huge inconsistency, because in the other books it was mentioned many times that older vamps are way stronger than fresh ones...

I think it was Jason that said Fiance, not the dude in jail. Could be wrong though, haven't watched it again.

Money and power mostly. The queen is broke because of some poor business deals mostly, but New Orleans in particular is suppose to be a very profitable city for her. Its a tourist destination for vamp enthusiasts amongst other things.

I thought it was made pretty clear this wasnt the case. Bill was clearly surprised the sun wasnt hurting him as much as normal and i cant see it being because he'd just fed. It also fits in with the theme of the episode and finding out more about what sookie is and how shes different.

Way too much gay for this episode. I had friends coming over sporadically and was seriously ashamed to be watching it.

Great episode. Really had my hopes up that Sookie and Bill were done for good. He is a good character when he isn't crying like a little girl.

Good episode, although half of the characters suffering from post traumatic stress disorder is starting to bother me.

Dragged in the middle, great Rene appearance, decent ending. I don't give a **** about the Sam parts. Also, how does any work get done in that restaurant with all these crises? FFS, The Peach Pit was a more believable restaurant.
