I demand extra points if it turns out I'm right.

Is 2 + 2 planning on flooding the voting for Coach? You're telling me the voting public is going to vote the dragonslayer? :skeptical: I need to check back in with my Everywoman on this matter.

What about when Ozzy goes on a massive immunity run and Coach falls from grace with his lying and crying down the road? Everywoman is going to be irritated when he starts stabbing people in the back in between his speeches on loyalty and honesty. Then, when someone calls him out on it and he either cries or makes some excuse about why it's OK if HE lies, that will send her over the top.

They are feeding us this ridiculous Ozzy Christ story and I'm supposed to believe the voting masses aren't going to fall for it? If Ozzy jumps on board with the Cochran bashing next week, I'll consider coming over, but if he's aloof about it and goes on a run...America won't be able to resist that will they?

edit: again I slept it on the Coach love, obv

Damn, 1 point off the lead despite missing badly on the 1st question. Good performance by DA RAT.

+1

Butchered WOAT. I submitted my answers before I read the backlash to both Ozzy and Cochran though.

She's in a good position, but what exactly has she done so far that would make you say this?

If Ozzy wins immunity Jim is gone. If Ozzy doesn't win immunity he's gone. They could easily be the boots tonight.

Soncy, I guess she doesn't really fail at challenges but she hasn't been super impressive either.. there's no good reason that a 23 year old should be getting owned by a middle aged woman

re: Sophie

Any sign of woman X actively putting herself in a better position for the right reasons automatically qualifies that player as a top 10 female. I think Parv and Cirie are both absolute naturals at Survivor and they're probably my top two players of all time even without gender as a qualifier. The only female besides those two that I definitely have above Sophie is Danni Boatwright, and I think Sophie could overtake her even without winning.

I think Sophie is generally taking a fundamentally sound approach to the game and she appears to be thinking about the entire situation optimally. I also believe that if she gets herself into a truly great position, which one might argue is already the case, she's smart enough not to make costly mistakes.

I already PMed cash mahne about this, but in case anyone cares/wants to double-check me, here are the scoring problems I noticed:

Everyone who answered question #3 correctly only got 6 points instead of 7. They all need to be given an extra point in the final standings.

Also, on Question #5 Soncy answered Ozzy, which was only worth 1 point and should have made her go from 22 pts to 23 pts. According to cash's final standings, she had 30 pts, which is way too high.

In summary, there are the scores I calculated:

1.Black666 - 33
1. CLTop - 33
3. VTChess - 32
3. SavageTilt - 32
3. Sorrow - 32
3. TheRat - 32
7. Gary Wise - 29
8. Master3004 - 26
9. Soncy - 23
9. Stewball - 23
11. JimHalpert - 22
12. slanche - 17

Last edited by VTChess; 11-09-2011 at 11:09 AM. Reason: Scoring error was Question #3

Fwiw, I have an Everywoman also that I sometimes discuss Survivor with. She was a big Ozzy fan coming into this season and really did not care for Coach. I talked to her recently and she said that this is by far her least favorite season of Ozzy; she thinks he is acting like a big baby. She also said that this is the most likeable version of Coach she has seen and that he is really growing on her

Agreed, my wife really really disliked Coach V1, warmed up to him with his Jerri crush for Coach V2. and really really like the guy now.

You guys are nuts if you think Cochran is not a huge fave for Sprint POY award after the whole revenge of the nerd edit going on. Edits play a giant role with the gullible souls who vote on these things. My preteen and teen daughters are huge Cochran fans.

Way too much Coach love itt.

Ehhhh not sure I agree. Certainly Cochran is going to get a fair amount of the vote, but COACH is a returning player; people know and recognize him and that will help a lot. Plus he is being edited the best he ever has been, and is playing a much better game than Cochran to this point

Backing the wrong horse, man. I clearly don't have my finger on the pulse of this thread. I only got the no brainers.

Is it possible Brandon could be in contention for Sprint POY. He has stated that his goal is to redeem the Hantz name. While it is hard to determine if he succeeds he has been shown to want to maintain honesty and loyalty throughout the game which average viewers should love. Add in his protecting of Cochrane and he could truely win over the viewers in the coming weeks.

LOl, wat?

There is a better chance of Whitney winning the game than there is of hantz winning Sprint Player of the Game.
