None of the interviews I've seen from her since then have changed my opinion of her. I accept that she has a number of friends in the game already, which certainly helps, but the same can be said for Dawn and Cochran.
My winner pick for the season is Malcolm for the simple reason that he is far and away the best player out their of the ones we know. Unfortunately, I fear the second best player out their, Brenda is going to have a tragically short stay.
I think Andrea is a decent player, not great but certainly not bad (and the fact that she's a beast in challenges even among strong men only enhances her street cred). Parvati 1.0 wasn't that exceptional as a player either, but we all know how that turned out.
I have no clue though how you get from Andrea is nothing special to Brenda is the second best player out there. I could see Brenda finishing 15th just as easily as I could see her in the top 5.

The offer was mostly in jest due to the poster who picked Andrea to win and his extensive track record of being wrong. I'd never actually bet on a prerecorded show (prop or money) unless I was reasonably inclined to believe the other person wouldn't care enough to spoil themselves for the purposes of winning a bet. I'm obviously very much into the show, and being a degenerate gambler I simply want action on anything and everything to enhance the experience.

For once I don't think you're off-base. Brenda is nowhere near as good as she thinks she is, and she's definitely not subtle. The Ponderosa video with her and Marty's nonstop bitching after being voted off was a perfect indication of that. Her tribal performances on the first vote when she was on the block and the night she was voted off were both abysmal (lucky for her Shannon was just nuclear bad). She needs to tone down her ego when around others (lol swag_check). Brenda has potential for sure but comparing her to the current incarnations of Boston Rob and Parvati is just criminal.

I could never back Francesca for a win. In previous seasons of Survivor, we've had all the following types of people who have been able to survive a vote: handicap people, injured people, people with absolutely zero athletic ability, crazy people, annoying people, people who
asked to be voted off, etc.
Unless you're incredibly old or you get badly injured in the first challenge (but not medevaced), I have absolutely no faith in someone who was first out being able to navigate their way through 39 days and 19 other people. Even if you get the nut worst tribe draw, if you're any sort of halfway decent player you
should be able to figure out a way to last beyond 3 days and not have the majority of the tribe gunning for you right away.

I liked her mind for the game and I always give points for trying, but her execution seemed poor.
Completely agree, esp. with the bolded.

oh, you mean the person who ends up winning/being right? there have definitely been those in the past who came through to outright post spoilers or make sporadic 1 line "predictions"...but it seems like the general trend around here (for some) is if there is a regular, consistent poster who is more perceptive and has a better understanding of the game than them, or is more adept at reading edits (plus the variance of running good), then that person
must have been spoiled.
pretty ironic when you juxtapose that with just how hard ~90% of this thread bought in to one of the most lol-tastic trolling jobs to ever grace 2p2 and how vehemently they supported him (shout out to BG wherever you are).
