most people here can probably relate a lot to a guy like spencer, average guy with above average intelligence. not a tool or worthless in challenges

I think he may have played up his "I'm the smartest one here" persona a tonne just so that he could get cast on the show.

CBS on some next level casting with the girl who is unstable enough to quit while simultaneously being dull television.

CBS needs to screen future castaways a lot better. Lindsey pulled herself from a million dollar game because she knew she was incapable of controlling her violent anger around Trish. Lindsey's impulsivity confirmed my previous suspicions that she is in fact a sociopath. What if instead of a direct physical attack, Lindsey took a subtle approach to getting revenge and poisoned Trish or faked some type of serious accident? Borderline psychos like Brandon and Lindsey are dangerous people irl, so putting them in this extreme social situation is just begging for trouble.

I don't think a sociopath would handle the situation like that at all.

This is the dumbest post I've read in a long time.

That was some weak **** to quit over. No one wants to be stuck on the island with Trish. She's a terrible person, at least given this edit. Let her be all smug and you know try to work yourself out of a bleak situation. Come on now. I was very disappointed by her decision.

I wasn't paying super close attention to the tribal dynamics. Need to rewatch. Just as a side I don't understand the hate for Morgan's looks. She's gorgeous. Lolz @ Alexis or Jefra. I'm not even talking about breasts. Shrug. She's just about the most attractive reality contestant I've seen. Different strokes I spose.

Exactly right.

I listened to her RHAP exit interview. She was awful. It took her 15 minutes to say 1 minutes worth of boring information.

Kept waiting for Lindsey's interview to stroll into:

"Do I ask myself a lot of easy questions? Yes. Am I going to give any valuable insight? No. Will I waste these entire 15 minutes? Yes."

First time I ever felt bad for someone getting voted out in a long time.

She essentially "tried too hard" with the wrong person. She went for it, can't knock the move, but lacked the connection with the people who mattered most.

Let that be a lesson for all future contestants.

Just got to watching this week's episode. Incredible, survivor has done an amazing job this year, casting 3 of the WOAT in one single season.

J'Tia - so bad that she makes Chet look like a physical beast in challenges like Ozzy.

Garrett - Social game so bad that the tribe voted out someone who dumped out 98% of their rice and fire. A survivor first, that takes some hurculean effort to be that bad that the tribe would vote you out instead. Million dollar body, 10 cent brain.

Lindsay - lol at letting a 50 yr old, 90lbs soaking wet woman antagonize you to the point that you have to quit the game and give up a chance at a million dollars. Awful in every respect.

It's really difficult to choose between these 3 as WOAT, I'm leaning towards Lindsay at the moment with a close second Garrett. All 3 are top 3 WOAT in the history of survivor.

Yea, I kind of liked Alexis. She was game-aware enough to recognize the spot she was in, and actively tried to play the game. Unfortunately, she didn't realize her best move was to play the dumb ditz everyone originally pegged her as.

I don't care for Trish, but the bolded is probably not accurate. She and Lindsey really rub each other the wrong way, and I imagine we get to see the very worst side of people under these circumstances. They are hungry, sleep deprived, cold, wet, and generally miserable. Then, throw them in a bag with someone they don't like and shake them up...that's not going to be a pretty picture of a person. Lindsey even was somewhat cordial on her RHAP interview...that even tho Trish isn't her cup of tea, she's sure she has friends and a life where she fits. I'd say that's probably true of most of the players that come on Survivor.

iirc, both of these women said in there pre-show interviews that they had a tendency to not take any crap from people. They both have an abrasive, combative nature. This result is not that surprising.

Agree it was a weak quit. I guess it's a good thing to remove yourself from the situation if you can't trust yourself to not get physical with someone. But clearly you have some issues if that is the case.

SS

i enjoyed the show (LJ): LJ was ready to fall all over himself thanking the brawn for allowing him to be part of the team, but before he could open his mouth, Trish planted herself and said she had to say something...then boom goes the fireworks. LJ stepped back and enjoyed the show. "With that one move, we were able to eliminate another person. I won't say 'we'. Trish made the move. If you can't take the emotional part of this game...better for me." Trish and Lindsey went back and forth. I hate your face, I hate your hair, I hate your laugh. It was a little uncomfortable at first, then we just started laughing. "I couldn't believe it. I had such a target on my back...and then it was gone."

cut off some baggage (morgan): Doesn't like sitting out immunity challenges, but whatever. Knew she was safe if they lost, so losing was no big deal. 6 person alliance has formed. Alexis is on the outs. Too much of a threat to flip to the other side once we merge.

i love it (tony): Tony having a ball. First five days was like a vacation to hell, but he's all about it know. He doesn't stop mentally or physically. Does not want to get emotions involved. If he starts thinking about his family he has to put the brakes on that and get back into game.

it worked out (sarah): Was worried the raiders would take the tarp. Was so happy when they took the fishing gear and pillows.

only leg i have to stand on (sarah): At first was disappointed that Tony and Woo didn't pick her to give the clue to, then realized that kept a target off her. Was still worried that they didn't make any eye contact at all with her. Is she out? Is she in? She doesn't know. Tony swore on his badge, wife, and child that he was in an alliance with her. Woo was in an alliance with her. Will they break their word? We will have to find out.

i found my chi (woo!): Woo with crazy hair. Kudos to nerdy Spencer for knocking off the martial artist in their first match up in the challenge. Woo nods in appreciation of his foe. Second round, Woo stared him down and anticipated and was ultimately victorious.

it wasn't a good loss (alexis): Sucks to lose. We are not the strongest at the head to head challenges. Comfort and luxury gives them a leg up.

people dont see me as smart (alexis): Super frustrating because Sarah and Spencer bombed the puzzle. It was hard to watch. She and Kass thought they could have done better. "There's no target on me post merge. People don't see me as a threat in any way. I'm sitting in a good spot with that." Oops.

it's disgusting to me (spencer): Not a fan of Lindsey quitting. He was in her position after Garrett got blindsided. He fought back to a more stable position. Does not appreciate quitters.

it's really sad (jeffra): It's sad that Lindsey took somebody's spot, then quit the game. She's not a team player. She didn't get her way. She knew she was on the bottom and she didn't have the heart to stay and play this game. "they are going to have to drag me out kicking and screaming to get me out".

SS2

i thought we would blow them out (jeremiah): Had high hopes going into the challenge. Alexis and Kass slowed us way down in the climbing through the bamboo phase. Sarah and Spencer hit a wall working on the puzzle. I think we should have had somebody else working on the puzzle. Lead got blowed working on the puzzle. "If they don't blindside me tonight, I'm good to go. I got a new alliance and I've got numbers."

they underestimated us (jeffra): Hoping for a picnic, but maybe we got something better in the long run. Hoping LJ and she can stay strong and everything goes as planned. His balls are in her court.

you don't know what it takes (kass): First reaction when she heard Lindsey quit was that she hoped there was nothing wrong with her family because that is the only thing that would give Kass pause. No, she just quit. You'd think if there was a quitter it would be the dorky, skrawny, glasses wearing mom not the tattoo lady.

we won the reward challenge (LJ): won reward. a panty raid. tony built the camp. hopefully they come back with some food.

we'll take her (tasha): Tony yelled out final five after the challenge. Sarah figured out that she is not included in those numbers. She was pissed. Sarah is a loyal person, when she gives you her word, so far she's lived up to it. It was good for the brain tribe because Sarah said, I'm all yours. He doesn't want Sarah, but you be we'll take her.

we scored big time (trish): brought a lot of energy, excitement, and team spirit to the challenge. Fun to see the expressions of the other team when they showed up without Cliff and Lindsey. Didn't realize how uncomfortable the sleeping situation would be...haven't been able to sleep well.

ss alexis: kass: it is strange that morgan never joins us. alexis: she never did at the other camp either. she likes to lay down a lot. Kass: there's no strategy there. alexis: she will lay around all day. Morgan a giant goat. She curls up in the shelter and sleeps all day.

end of the road for me (lindsey): volatile can't control her emotions quitter

alexis the day after: Had fun. Met some interesting people. Made some rookie mistakes. Most proud of herself for surviving the elements without breaking down. Dehydrated and hungry with no one that you can really trust, but she felt emotionally stable the whole time. Morgan probably told them how close she was to LJ in the beginning. Felt too comfortable with the connections she made with people on the new tribe. Learned she can't give people the benefit of the doubt. She expected more coasters than there was. Thinks she may have come on a little strong when she decided to gun for Jeremiah. Would try to blend in and coast more in the early going if she had a chance to go again. Thinks LJ will win if he gets to the end. Sarah has a shot. She's rooting for Spencer. Great competitive game. She loved it and had a great time.
