Garrett probably wasn't going home even after everything that happened at camp until he shot himself in the foot at tribal. He had zero social game what so ever.

Single handedly lose two challenges
Dump all the rice
Sit back while Garrett blows his brains out
Profit

That was seriously one of the worst episodes of game play ever, jesus, brain malfunction, and so disappointing, my enthusiasm for this season just crashed and burned. And Spencer seems so smart and tactical, was shaping up to be a great alliance til he went on a kamikaze mission.

Any thoughts on whether this was a good or bad move for Kass? I'm not really sure.

It's irrelevant for Kass. Through sheer dumb luck she stumbled ass over tea kettle into a fantastic position.

Tonight we learn that multi-tabling nits don't know how to socialize with people. Totally shocked.

I don't know a thing about Garret other than the fact that he is a Poker Pro, but man does he suck at Survivor.

Nobody seems to learn the Sophie lesson of just sit down and shut up at tribal. How bad does it have to be to convince Kass to drop a perfect shield in Garrett in exchange for the crazy chick who just melted down at a challenge.

Though Spencer was kind of a dbag coming in, but now I'm feeling legitimately sorry for him.

Eek garret.

Garret wasn't going home under normal conditions. Just no way. He could easily appeal to kass' rational side after j'tias god awful immunity performance.

He probably wasn't going home up til tribal too.

There has to have been some non verbal communication between the other two girls at tribal that the producers didn't show.

Haven't been blindsided in terms of votes like that by the producers in a while.

Also, how does someone whose in the shape Garrett is in become so lazy? You don't get that way by not working out so you think he could handle some manual labor.

Having a guy who throws everything about his alliance/strategy out in the open about and telling people they are going home might be worst person to have around if you're considering about playing any strategic game.

This ignores the inherent social dynamic in that tribe. These are women of intellectual accomplishment who have zero interest in being lectured at by a male authority figure, which should have been 100% evident by the way they had no use for David. Garrett could probably have controlled the likes of Morgan and Jefra that way but there are way different sociocultural perspectives happening with an older woman and two women of color that he paid absolutely no attention to.

Tasha and Kass wanted to be heard. Garrett ignored them.

Garrett ignored them? Kass was the first one to voice her opinion. Garrett's question was, "Kass, who do you think should go home?" And what did Kass say? "I want J'Tia out." So...why is that bad of Garrett?

The only thing Garrett didn't account for is that Tasha would go ape****. Kass even specifically said after J'Tia Hantz'd the rice, "This makes me less likely to flip." Translation: SHE WOULD HAVE FLIPPED ANYWAY. I feel like people are being insanely results oriented here.

It didn't seem that he couldn't handle doing manual labor, just that he felt he was beneath having to do it.

This....

As soon as he started the whole lets just talk in the open conversation I knew he was going home.

He ignored their desire to have the conversations in private. Rewatch how hesitant Kass was in that moment. That right there was her already being resentful for his putting her on the spot and assuming she would capitulate.

Garrett did nothing well socially that whole episode. Deserved to go out with the shame of an unplayed immunity idol.

Even Mrs DS remarked and she only half watches and really doesnt care. For her to take note it has to reallly stand out.

Defenders/fanboys have zero credibility rest of season unless they retract. Fast.

Garrett going control freak and making a huge scene with Tasha is the worst thing he could possibly do. Sit back and let Tasha have her conversation with Kass, then talk to her later and make sure you're still solid. If necessary, you can even play the HII at tribal council. And Garrett didn't even bother taking the idol to TC? Come on bro, that's a Survivor no-no

LOL Garrett

I don't think people are being results-oriented when they say it was a braindead move. A destructive blowup happens a decent % of the time there IMO.

Yea I get what he was trying to do there by having her lead, but it was really bad interpersonal communications. Although he still could have salvaged it by having a 30 second side convo with Tasha when she asked for one.

I am leaning towards it was a semi bad move for her. She is still 3 out of 4 but now their chances of winning immunity have gone way down.

Arguing you should play survivor out in the open without side talk is like arguing poker should be played without bluffing.
