Obviously the internet found out about it from different ways, but if it was found by the internet.. there's a decent chance a principal/administrator could've found something.
Nobody would be checking up on anybody.

I imagine the conversation was little more than this:

"Hey, Real World wants to come here with a zillion cameras and talk to the kids for ten minutes about a charity that will benefit them."

"Sounds good. Set a date/time."

apparently some of you don't know what a background check is lol

I mean are we talking about an actual standard background check here or, "Hey, Bob. Get me a list of names of everybody who's going to be here for that charity thing tomorrow so I can get on Facebook and make sure none of them have done teh ghey p0rn."

There's about a zero percent chance anybody does background checks for a school visit like this, anyway. Mike Mike was an idiot for even bringing it up. Hell, I'd bet that if it were a public school they couldn't tell Dustin to stay away even if they wanted.

i think youre completely offbase here. if anyone in that school, anyone, knows a thing about real world, they know that every single kid on the show is F-ed up. All you need is one person to type each name into google, and you better believe the dirt on Dustin will be on page 1. Oh and im not googling him to back my word up.

Yeah, but nobody is going to do this, ever. I would lay money on nobody at that school even knowing a single name of anybody other than their contact person before the entire cast walked in the door the day of the shoot.

The thought of somebody googling a bunch of people coming with a television crew to speak to a music class for a few minutes about a charity is laughable. WTF is going to happen? Is Dustin going to helicopter his wang in front of a bunch of kids? Does the Real World have a long and well known history of it's cast doing horrible things to kids on camera or something?

LOL at this argument, if any teacher has a clue about Real World than he/she will know at least one of them has something to do with the LGBT community, and the rest are probably having daddy issues/anger management. The only difference with Dustin is he did it for money and was on film. The school probably realizes this and they dont give a **** cause they know nothing is going to happen, its a ****ing fundraiser.

Also Mike Mike is def a huge douche for bringing it up.

Dustin is clearly a moron, Mike is clearly a bitch that has some legitimate points but either presents them in a stupid passive-aggressive way or just takes things way too far. Either way, funny stuff.

Dude got over 2 months in jail. People are stupid when kids get involved. Things happen.

What does that story have to do with anything?

That logic goes out the window when kids/parents/schools are involved. It was really douchey, but Mike Mike was more right then not. Also that schools+camera crews don't always end well either.

Oh. But I don't really think MM was being genuine anyways. He was just being a dick to Dustin. If they stop Dustin from going, they do. Wtf can anyone say or do about it? BUT, like everyone knew already, **** wasn't likely to happen (like MM probably knew that, too).

lololol

Is it just me or did The Real World already visit the school? It's amazing that the entire cast survived the extensive googling and facebook research that you apparently believe is part of any background check. Nice anecdotal apples and oranges that has zero to do with this situation, though. Maybe that story would mean something here if it included the words "background" and "check" somewhere. I'm done debating this. Again, it's laughable to think that anybody is going to perform a background check of any sort for a visit like this.

seems pretty logical that using images of first graders in a sex song video or whatever the **** he did would be a crime

I do not think it would be a problem even if the school discovered that he was pornstar. It is not a crime to be gay or to be a pornstar... Sure it may set a bad example, but adults do adult things.

hahaha, yeah i guess it was a little blunt/not very smooth of the guy. you'd think he wouldn't preface it with the "good and bad news" line, just tell her her dad's dead but she has some family she didn't know about
