f horrible episode. even Mac couldn't save it.

Two random thoughts that I may have posted in previous Lost threads:

1) Will the show ever show Ben's interaction with Henry Gale? I doubt it, but I think it might have some interesting implications. At this point it seems like of all of the different arrivals of people onto the Island, we have seen firsthand accounts of all of them at some point except for Henry Gale's balloon. Granted, we haven't seen what happened with the Black Rock exactly but we did see Jacob bringing it to the Island in the background in the S5 finale (and I still believe pretty strongly we will see the Black Rock again before it's all over). Eko's drug plane we got the story behind that, the tail section, Ajira flight, Desmond's boat, the Freighter, etc.

2) Will we see what caused Radzinsky to smash his head against the walls of the Swan multiple times in order to kill himself? I figured with the introduction of his character last season we would see how he got from DHARMA geek to chilling with Kelvin in the hatch to mutilating himself, but I guess not?

I realize the chances of either of these things appearing are slim, but these things will forever put me on tilt once the show is over.

Didnt read thread yet.....

Evil Claire? Huh?
Or, Good? I'm LOST..

radzinsky shot himself, leaving a bloodstain on the swan ceiling

catching up on thread now. Other than a couple of cool things, seems like a classic kate/jack facepalm ep.

another wonderful consequence of this episode is that alt-claire chose to not have the babby yet, so we have THAT to look forward to.

Ahahah

Kate is such a turrrible character off the island in every flashback/forward/sideways. Her backstory couldn't be any stupider. No Kate centric episode has ever been good. When she isn't the primary story and on the island I don't mind her though.

Lost fans complaining about an ep which doesn't really answer any questions but adds a few more?

Realllly?

Every episode that goes by where we don't find out about what the numbers mean is another finger I cut off from Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse before viciously stabbing both in the heart.

no we are complaining because it was 60 minutes of nothing and there are only 15 episodes left.

it'd be a pretty cool show if it were just sayid and claire trippin' balls and settin' traps.

there's probably contract/politics/whatever reasons why they must do a kate centric show, so they just decided to get it out of the way asap.

They should just rotate Locke, Ben, and Desmod episodes.

Kate storylines just suck ass.
i thought it was clear she was crying because she's deeply in love with Sawyer and he doesn't want her ill nana no more. She tried being all coy with her come ons masquerading as empathy, and he was just like "butnahh kate" and she was all QQing.

ok this makes sense. but what about Rousseau? How'd she not get claimed? She wasn't on MiB's side.

this was by far the most tilting part to me. There's no chance claire doesn't right away knock on someone's door to call the cops. There's no way the cab isn't picked up pretty quickly. There's no way even if she didn't call the cops, that she accepts a ride. There's no way she risks her own ass by aiding and abetting an obv very wanted criminal. ugh.

While I agree with most of the complaints about the show, I'm kinda surprised that more people aren't complaining about the whole concept of this "alternate universe" timeline. It's just beyond stupid. It doesn't advance the actual stories that we care about at all, and as a bonus, it also doesn't develop the characters as instead of seeing how the characters have reacted to their time on the island and how it's made them grow, we're just stick with the beginning version of the characters and how they lived before any of this started.

I think the best-case scenario for this whole alternate timeline thing is that the characters end up with their lives even more ****ed up than they were on the island, (Kate in prison for life, Locke paralyzed after Jack ****s up the surgery, Jack committing suicide), somehow the characters on the island get to view what their lives would have been like, and then they just decide to destroy their other selves in some kind of crazy Lost deus ex machina as they finally accept the positive impact the island has had on their lives. Worst-case scenario is that the island people manage to destroy their own timeline and wake up in their lives with the plane never crashing to find that their whole time on the island was a dream.

I'm not in love with it either but hopefully the writers can think of something interesting.

this makes the most sense. we have seen the writers be consistently awesome in the last couple seasons. pretty much the last half of s3 and on.

either way, 15 to go

you guys think she was crying cause the girl Sawyer loved died?

gtfo

One thing we know about Kate, Kate cares about Kate, and that's it.

She's crying because now she's all alone on this island and the guy she loves doesn't want her. She's not feeling bad for Sawyer, she's crying cause she lost.
