Thanks for this info, Rendle, it is much appreciated!

Is there anything about Nurse Jackie or The Big C, yet?

No, I imagine that will be announced at the critcs press tour in January.

If I had to guess Showtime will air Nurse Jackie and Episodes in March and then air Weeds and The Big C in June.

Yeah, you're probably pretty close to right on both counts, thanks. Showtime really knows how to make an audience wait for tiny seasons worth of shows...

The new shows I have the highest hopes for are Luck (HBO), Alcatraz (FOX), The River (ABC) , and Veep (HBO).

Hopefully Touch (FOX), House of Lies, Smash (NBC), and Girls (HBO) are interesting. Touch and Smash are being pushed pretty hard by their networks.

I'm looking forward to Luck, Alcatraz, and Touch (more out of curiosity than anything else).

I'll check out House of Lies, because it has a nice cast, and I always enjoy Don Cheadle. My former next door neighbor is in The Finder (Michael Clarke Duncan), so I'll have to look at one episode. I'll also check out Rob (I like Diana Maria Riva), The Firm, and Missing, in addition to some stuff USA doesn't have listed yet. I hope something new on the schedule is worth watching.

This was posted in the other thread but I'll drop in here again.

Awake (NBC) has me the most intrigued but, due to network fears of heavily serialized programming and CBS's successful template of loading up on ****ty procedurals, it may never see the light of day.

Wires, I think there is at least some possibility they are holding that for next season, since not much of their fall drama schedule is likely to take hold. There should be spots available for it, if it just wasn't so terrible that they never want to air it. This is NBC, the bar is low.

I'm really intrigued by The Firm, because I have no idea how they will be able to milk that series into a multi season run, when the movie was easily wrapped up in 2 hours. It also doesn't look like they're going to be starting earlier than the movie started, or give a longer build up to the discovery, so it's pretty easy to see where problems with longevity will occur. If they make it exciting, it might be a fun ride, but the casting looks pretty bland.

Due to the fall thread and Rendle work, I picked up some shows, one I would not have otherwise watched (Revenge). Will be tuning in for luck and the river.

Which pilots?

In certain areas of the internet you can find the 17th Precinct pilot. NBC passed on the show which was created by Ron Moore and starred Tricia Helfer, James Callis, and Jamie Bamber.

I didn't read the article, but is it safe to assume that was some kind of "spin off" of Battlestar Galactica?

No, new show with alot of the same actors.

SyFy has been working on the Young Adama prequel forever and they still haven't announced a premiere date for that.

I wonder why they didn't try to ship that to Syfy. Helfer's on The Firm, and Bamber is on Law & Order: UK. I'll take a wild guess and say that I bet there was at least some level of difficulty that NBC Universal had when working with Moore, and that's probably part of why they were hesitant to pick it up. That doesn't even begin to mention that none of those actors you listed are American (something that most actors usually need to be on Network TV shows, minus Terra Nova).

Haven't watched it yet but they did pick up The Playboy Club over it. It sounds expensive.

Sucks to still wait until March for Mad Men. I'm already forgetting everything about that show.

I was re-watching Hot Tub Time Machine today and saw Jessica Pare naked and I was like "hey where do I know her from?" and had to look her up on IMDb just to remember that she's Draper's new wife.
