Yes....and he had some parting advice for his replacement

Be careful around January [Jones]," he told TV Guide. "She's not as approachable as the others. She's really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice.

I think you'll probably be pretty much the only person complaining about that. Later Morticia.

Best cleaning evar.

Me too

edit: I think i need to posts this hear rather than clog up the thread- I was being sarcastic about expert analysis I'm known for not being very good at TV analysis and so I'm not going to clog up the thread with my analysis of the show that we just watched and instead just say that I liked it because it was good. cya next week.

hoo boy that was some good housecleaning

also about 50 brilliant lines

haha, i didn't even realize that betty wasn't in either episode, i guess i didn't notice the momentum grinding to a halt.

i feel like i need to process that more, but it's an interesting direction to take the show. cooper was obsolete in season 1, sterling was obsolete once they lost lucky strike, and draper says 'i don't care about work'. so what does don care about? it was a great move to have a perfect time for a don draper moment only to thwart audience expectations. it's not going to be business as usual. will don fight harder for megan's ideas?

'everyone's so cynical here. they don't smile, they smirk.' great line, especially since everyone spent the whole surprise party tearing each other down with arch remarks.

campbell seems headed for a fall, he's taken the office move as a promotion instead of a sideways move.

anyway it's awesome to have this show back, will certainly have more thoughts once people start checking in.

the morticia + lurch thing was easily the best line of the episode

This return was fantastic. Best season opening episode of the show iyam. I look forward to watching it again soon. Can't believe this and Game of Thrones will run at the same time.

Pete's jacket was amazing.

Awesome episode. God I love this show.

Megan Draper the early leader for S5 MVP.

The Morticia/Lurch line slayed. Sterling also had one that was gold.

I figured that civil rights would get a lot more play this season and the first two episodes played into that a bit.

Draper cares about feeling good or things distract him from hating himself. Work is one of those things though.

Yeah, plot is going to run right through Meghan. Peggy vs Meghan already set up a little this episode. Don will have to choose between loyalty to his wife vs what's good for the company. Also, how is Don going to cheat w His wife so close all the time?

Odd. I had sex immediately after this aired and all I could think about was zou bizou bizou.

also how out of touch and/or desperate is roger to actually believe that pete would get a meeting with coca cola and that it would happen on staten island?
